The crazy thing about The Alan Wake Franchise now….. all their collaborations are basically canon to the story

Nic Cage, Alien, Chucky, Stranger Things, Alan Wake, Slipknot, Iron Maiden and Tom Clancy. You guys have been KILLING it!

The great thing about this is, technically speaking, it can in a way be canon. Just another nightmarish dimension he's written himself into. Opening more doors. Exploring ways to escape the dark place.

i don't think we've ever seen a survivor or killer enter the fog and into the realm in a cutscene like that before, that was awesome!!

I've said forever that Wake needs to be in DBD. He INVENTED the flashy save.

The Alan Wake games were amazing

I actually think original DbD was heavily inspired by the first Alan Wake game. Many many similarities: The importance of bringing light to fight the Dark Presence (like doing gens to "fight" the Entity), finding and repairing broken generators (they even had "skill-checks" to repair them), the flashlight and the way you could aim with it to burn away the darkness from enemies (like blinding killers or burning old Wraith and Nurse). It even had sections where you had to look out for actual bear traps scattered across the woods, and you could kinda reveal them with your flashlight by making them sparkle for a second. The levels, buildings, and even the atmosphere in general were very much alike as well, before all the map reworks and graphical updates in DbD...

I like that they still care about the original lore from the early days of Dead by Daylight and showcase that in this trailer - where a new victim goes through the fog and gets transported into a realm like they have in the past, there is something so cool about it.

One thing that's really cool is that if you look at this trailer and Alan Wake II, it's like they are connected somehow, and this is just another story. I really love this

I’ve been holding out hope for an Alan Wake chapter ever since DBD first came out. I’m so excited that it’s finally coming! It’s been awhile since I played DBD, but now I have a god excuse to jump back in. I hope this chapter ends up creating new Remedy fans! Also glad they are having Matthew Porretta voice him - though I wouldn’t be surprised if that was a requirement from Remedy for licensing! Porretta and Villi truly are the heart and soul of the character and no substitute would have ever sufficed.

I haven’t played DBD in years, but I’m a huge fan of Alan Wake. I would have loved to see a killer like ‘The Scratch’ or ‘The Presence,’ but this is still enough to get me to play again!

Brilliant trailer, especially for this character. No jumpscares, just great build-up as a good horror should do.

God I would love a Simon Henriksson survivor In this game. With the way the game ends (depending on the 5 different ones) it would make sense for him to be here. Cry of fear is so slept on.

Literally just finished Alan Wake II. Absolutely fantastic from start to finish. If you like Silent Hill or single player horror in general, it's a must play 👍

As an Alan Wake super fan, this might be what finally gets me to try Dead By Daylight.

God I love this trailer so so much!! They way you see both Jakes and Alans pov in the beginning, how it suddenly fully centers on Alan and the gitterish cuts stop completly, the slow reveal of the forrest, the generator and finally jakes corpse from the groundd implying that he was killed seconds after completing the gen because of the mistake he made earlier and how every piece of information adds to the athmosphere and the small but super tight "story" of the trailer..! It's so good godamm!!

The first time I played Alan Wake was on Xbox360 way back in 2010. I fell in love with the character, story, and the horror atmosphere. The second game is out and now Alan coming to DBD. I'm just filled with joy. I've been wanting Alan to come to the game for ages! Thank you for bringing Alan to the game! Alan will be my new main! ❤

This is awesome! I hope we get the American Nightmare outfit and his look from the 1st game as well. This marks the first time we have a Stephen King like author character. The lore also fits in really well with Dead by Daylight. I hope we also get The Evil Within some day.

Would be a cool feature, if survivors could find handwritings to use against new killer: they would have to change the story, for example : add 2 pallets but killer downs survs with one hit for 60sec or spawn half broken toolbox but block one gen for 30 sec

Crazy to see how it looks like when someone gets pulled into the fog and placed into the realm, I also love how Allen wake says this time something is different, he has faced horror head on but nothing like the entity, he feels how different the entity is to his own monsters and how much worse the situation is now
