The Artist is the first DBD killer to genuinely creep me out. Her awkward bird like movements, sounds, and her elongated limbs give me an uncomfortable feeling while looking at her. The music adds to this greatly.
The Artist is definitely one of the more unique killers they've made, and her music really personifies that with how it sounds vaguely like what you'd hear while being swarmed by a flock of crows.
yeah it's like screaching isnt it like when it comes to chase themes you have some that dont fit the character like blight not feeling in any way related to the hetic chases of blight or his shrewdness, then you have oni that more just fits in with the theme of his culture then you have the artist music that feels like it's made for them
@@strvmpet in my opinion his theme is a disaster, in a good way. It perfectly reflects the twisted monstrosity that he has become, especially with how fast-paced and chaotic it is.
Meeting "The Artist" Killer for the first time in a nutshell: 0:00 Oh wow, that sounds creepy. 1:00 wow, even creepier. 2:00 Okay, even creepier. 3:00 *GET THESE BIRDS OF OFF ME*
@@icantmemorize7703 Is there any bugs atm? I don't neccesarily keep up with what's bugged since literally every other week there's a bug that people mention
True their music is usually good My only gripes is that they made Pyramid Head's theme *worse* after his respective PTB and Billy n Spirit's chase part of the music being slightly underwhelming but music's mostly good still
I love this theme so much. It makes you question what exactly you're looking at when you see the artist. Her bird like croaking/twisting, the way her limbs are elongated past what's normal. Her inky black eyes. They make you question if what you see is even a person anymore, more like a monster.
I used to have bad nightmares of going to an abandoned region or land, and seeing all sorts of crazy monster things, and a sleep paralysis demon that would appear in my dreams and in the corner of my room... and she looked very similar to the Artist, before she came out and before I bought dbd. When she made her trailer appearance, I was like "Oh hell no, F that SH. The Artist is the only killer (appearance wise) that terrifies me because of this.
@@Hoosje11 if you're using real birds as your example there's your fault. You have to actually imagine it. Her chase music (layer 4) sounds like flapping. You telling me you don't imagine a giant bird flapping it's wings with it?
@@neonlion8401 I wouldn't doubt it, though Fortnite is gonna collab with DBD before that happens, that's if DBD is low enough to sell their lives to them too
The quality of behavior’s sound department just keeps getting higher and higher. I’m really excited to see what they’ll do with old, thematically strong killers like plague and legion
You know what this reminds me of? The music that plays with the Mimicry Marcus Leeches from Resident Evil 0. That's probably why I find this so unnerving because fuck those things. Hats off to whoever composed this. An outstanding job once again.
See the thing is The Artist isn't inherently evil. Therefore, if I yell at her "I was someone who supported you!", she'll definitely avoid killing me and we'll become best friends
This killer creeps me out the most out of any because when she first came out she showed up in a nightmare I had a few days after. To this day I cannot face her without getting insane anxiety and the music adds to it. Gives me fucking chills.
I adore the artist, I love that we’re getting back to the creepy vibe again. I really hope they release some darker and spookier maps again though :( the game will never scare me like it used to but I’d like some resemblance of fear
Very cool. The music fits with her gross body horror vibe. Much like how she looks like a beautiful woman turned monstrous, the music (especially the violins) sound like something that was nice turned sinister
"With gleeful eyes, I watch as the unempathetic prey is ensnared by the long dark claws of the overseer, the light and energy fading fast from them. Soon, they were nothing more than a memory....they are like the others...devoured...and won't be missed.. Have I pleased the two of you?" -Carmina Mora
I love the music it's very disturbing and distressing but one thing I have to say is the beat when the voilin comes in there seems to be a loop and I think if they could add a little more bass and voilin to it then it won't be as noticeable. A lot of people are complaining about it but honestly i love the music it's self just putting this out there to see what yall this but omg it's so darn creeepppyyyy
I don’t know why but the first few seconds of her theme makes me think of an abandoned rusting cargo ship floating out in the middle of the ocean in the middle of nowhere
oof, the nostalgia. coincidentally I am here commenting this exactly a year tomorrow this chapter was teased, and I just wanted to comment on how haunting, accurate and creative this piece is...
Surreal, creepy, disturbing, full of despair, and sounds exactly like what you'd expect from being attacked by a crow-themed Killer. One of BHVR's best.
Gives me the chills and it gives u the feeling of fear,no hope and despair and I also love how every chapter by dbd related to how the killer actually was like with the artist and the chapter name is called portrait of a murder get it ?? Cause she was a artist who was killed unjustly just like a lot of the killers in dbd
i love the 8 meter range music. it is so god damn creepy. and imagine this, you are just hiding in a corner whilst this vigorously tall and viscous woman is strutting around trying to seek you out. and then she stands right behind you whist you camp that corner, what do you do?
