@@SinjBanana start at like 3 minutes in when it's actually starts chase, what you hear up to that point is just the terror radius, not the chase music Cos like, clearly y'all missing something if you're disagreeing with 110 people lmao
Umm you’re telling me Resident Evil and Hellraiser were a good chapter? Resident Evil was an absolutely buggy mess, and Hellraiser was just an NFT promo
@@helluvqueen I am not talking about those aspects of the chapters as a whole but how true to the original franchise the characters they have been releasing are and the way they make their powers feel unique.
@@helluvqueen Resident Evil was a good chapter. You should be judging it based on the content of the chapter, not any glitches that came with the update. And Pinhead is one of the best integrated licensed killers we’ve gotten. And if you’re one of those people still hung up on that NFT shit, then that’s actually kinda funny tbh.
Sadaka better continue the Yamaoka bloodline, otherwise Kazan's going to Demon Strike her entire career (For those who don't know, Kazan is The Oni's first name.)
I looked up what kind of spirit rin is and from what google says she is an onryo as well which makes sadako number 2 in that department though lore wise and possibly game wise she may be more deadly than rin
@@adamwarner1548 I'd say Sadako is much stronger than Rin. Rin goes to this sort of sword practice, not even liking it, lashing out ONCE and summoning her ancestors after leaving bullies in a bloody heap, meanwhile Sadako is the daughter of an overseer, possibly inheriting traits from her. Overseers are known for having godlike superhuman strength and powers such as telekinesis, like the way she picks up and grabs survivors with her mind, mixed with Sadako's rage, that easily overpowers Rin.
@@OMOCarlos in (some of) the movies Sadako is amazing, but she's pathetic and weak in DBD. Her boring laughable chase theme also doesn't help. Rin >>>>>>>>
We technically have a yurei already in DbD, as an onryo is an aggressive form of a yurei. Also, DbD’s Spirit is also an onryo. Also, Nurse kinda fits the banshee role as her screaming fits the modern definition of a banshee (the original Irish form of a banshee was a spirit that typically warned of impending doom or death, rather than being a malicious spirit.
I noticed something AMAZING recently in the distant (32m) theme. The music is exactly the same rhythm, speed and have the same general sound as the sound the sea makes when making little waves by reaching the beach I'm sorry, I'm not a native english person, I have a hard time explaining this in english. This is a awesome detail in the composition and an hommage to Sadako being the daughter of a sea demon, or even the ocean itself (this was never confirmed, but heavily hinted at in the original movie) This makes the distant theme 10 times better in my opinion
@@fetus1658 I agree. He never fails to make music that feels authentic and respectful of the characters. The sound design of the game is amazing too, with every single action having a unique sound. This is similar to some other great games like DOOM Eternal. I hope to see his work again on future games
i love the vibes from 1:59, i can almost imagine this playing while im trying to repair the last generator at 6 curse stacks, while im sat next to one of sadako's TVs
probably meant to sound like flies. flies are a common symbol in RING and other media - a sign of death. You'd be swarmed by flies too if you were a moldering corpse at the bottom of a well.
It’s fantastic that the theme is reminiscent of flies which would be those surrounding Sadako’s corpse in the well. It also has hints of traditional Japanese music which is perfect. Overall a fantastic terror radius and chase theme to go along with an absolutely terrifying and phenomenal character.
I’m always terrified every time I go against an Onryo. Why? Because Sadako/Samara was the only horror villain to give me numerous nightmares as a child! So, every time I go into a match and realize it’s her, I get scared that she’ll really come out of my television in the middle of the game.
@@adalynnshorrorworld2242 Don't worry, people never understand others talking about childhoods fears. I'm also scared of Sadako when in game and irl. That is why now I main her to be less scared lol😅
@@adalynnshorrorworld2242 yeah no cap she scared me as a kid too, and that made her instantly one of my favorite horror villains, if they can scare you then you know the character is perfection.
I think she will be one of my mains in the game and fanarts, she is a great entity to have alongside in trips. I'm happy they don't have ruined her, she really has a lot of potential in the Art, Evil and Philosophy department
Here's to hoping Kayako & Toshio join the roster soon. Because despite community consensus, Kayako is still vastly different from both Sadako and Rin Yamaoka (The Spirit) and she deserves her own place within the Entity Realm.
Sadako Yamamura was born as a daughter of Shizuko Yamamura and Professor Ikuma. But, Professor Ikuma killed his daughter Sadako because he wanted to conceal the existence of her from the workers engaging in the mass-communication service.
I just wanted to say that I actually just started playing this game late last year and she was one of the first killers I liked I now have her p100 and can’t WAIT for her new skin!
I love that DBD is big enough to get the OGs after having characters inspired by the classic horror tropes. Hillbilly - Leatherface, Legion - Ghostface, Doctor - Pinhead, etc etc. Hope to see Trapper - Jason someday
@@tallstar513 i don't understand. Everyone complains about killers lacking pressure then we get a killer with tons of pressure and you're saying she's garbage? She has stealth pressure AND she can get people off gens with teleporting and tapes. You just can't please everyone can you...
@@tallstar513 Yeah, that's the point. She's not a anti looper. She's a stealth surprise attack killer with map pressure. I've won games via sheer atrition before without commiting to a chase even once. Seems dumb to think like you are right now.
@@dumblenutz5561 Ah yes the typical DBD activist. First to go to attacking the opposition directly. I don't know if you've noticed but I've just been stating what I believe, not once did I directly attack you or claim you're an idiot. You are living proof this community will never improve from the cesspit it is. As for her, that stealth surprise attack takes around 3 seconds to actually leave the cloak she has. I think she should have something like Wraith to handle loops easier since the rest of her power is centered around stealth. Sure stealth will get you a free hit, but after that a good survivor main will understand what loops to run and when to run them. Unless you get lucky or the survivor is bad, chases with her are going to be painful. Now was it that hard to have a civil discussion?
wow.......you know, a lot of the music in this game is really good, cool, and sometimes spooky or all of the above........but this is one of the few songs that actually sounds and feels threatening, not like "oh no! the spoOoOoky ghost is after me!" but more like "......(panting)....jesus christ i'm going to die!" kind of threatening.
Or they could release that as a skin for spirit ( her whoosh sound would be replaced by the croaking noises she makes and her breathing would also be the croaking noises instead of the wailing noises current spirit makes ) Look at the baba yaga huntress skin, she has a different lullaby and different noises she makes when melee’ing, winding up a hatch throw, getting stunned all the while being essentially huntress XD
