Probably the most violent and "I'm gonna fucking kill you you piece of shit I hate you" sounding chase music made to date. I love singularity so much. The "I fucking hate you" thing even fits hux's character so well too.
The fourth layer sounds so much better in-game with that droning synth not being drowned out by that old alarm beat. Makes being chased by him alot more intimidating
Right? It has variety in sound and isn't too repetitive. Survivors will be in chase with Hux a lot, especially when he has a direct chase power so the music has to at least be bearable and appealing to the ear 👍
@@LegionOfMany999totally. In general it's all slowed a bit, chase has the siren echo, and that one dominant blaring noise in ptb is toned down I believe
To people who see this: The reason you don’t match up with this killer in games is NOT because it “isn’t fun” it’s because the killer has a learning curve and is time consuming to master. He’s not meant for casual killers and requires finesse. For people who “just want to play and not think” THE SINGULARITY can be off-putting and chase casual killers away to pick someone like LEGION or GHOSTFACE. He IS FUN but you need to THINK when you use him. That is why you don’t see him often.
I agree, the game says they are a hard killer when I fact they are a very hard killer, you have to have 200IQ to effectively use the biopods (cameras) to slipstream (teleport) to survivors but a great thing is the range on his sickle weapon, possibly the largest yet of any killer. Also the voice lines are awesome.
I know is late to say but to play as the killer, you've to think like it, he's literally an IA same as Skynet from terminator and fought against his own creators after all
Singularity requires certain mindset to be to your liking. For me it was one of the hardest killers to FIGURE OUT. I took somewhere near 15 games of complete suffering and destruction by survivors before i understood the idea of this killer, his potential, strategies, mindgames etc. But in the end it can be very, very rewarding. Combine strategic, Trapper-like approach for info and constant surveillance with active and aggressive pressure laying due to rapid teleports, jumpscaring and mindgaming with your pods - and you will have a lot of satisfying 4k's even against the most challenging survivors. You need to feel that gameplay, learn when it's best to play passively and patiently via pods, and where to bullrush survivor using your ability to close distance in a blink of an eye. The definition of tactic and strategy combined - that's what it is all about. Definitely my favorite killer.
So if anyones struggling to tell the difference here's what it is. The first, second and third layers have remained exactly the same, nothing has changed. However the chase music has seen the biggest changes, the pace of the chase music itself has been slowed down JUST a smidge, nothing too noticeable like ghostfaces, the volume of the background synth which is meant to be like a wind noise has had its sound increased to be move visible, the loud blaring drums have been completely removed being replaced with quiet drums, which I assume was the background variant of it. And now the Electric Synth is now the lead of the chase music, making everything actually more audible.
Layer 1: (HUX Not responding) Layer 2: (HUX Returning to habitat, not responding) Layer 3: (THE SINGULARITY Is not responding) Layer 4: (ALERT ALERT, Multiple crew casualties reported evacuate immediately!)
I like to think the alarm going off in the 3rd layer of the terror radius is like an alarm telling the player "ALERT. DANGEROUS SPECIMEN NEARBY. SEEK FOR A SAFE ZONE." so that they know they are in for a treat
I always come back and listen to this and damn, this killer and many of the others made by the studio deserve movies. I would love a movie about the singularity and the dredge mainly
This type of killer requires strategy unlike your regular chase killer The Legion and The Ghostface, The Singularity requires precise mindset and techniques.
Tips for anyone trying to learn/master singularity. M1 perks like Sloppy, Hubris, Rapid brutality can work in overclock mode. Exposed perks work too. 😏 NOED, Hubris, Devour. Try not to watch your cams too much. If you going to view your bio pods, do a quick check. While viewing the camera, survivors glow white making them easy to spot. While in chase, deploy 1/2 bio pods. One to slipstream a survivor and the other to teleport to them. (Or you can just teleport without using your camera.) Not a lot of people play singularity. He’s strong but hard to truly master. So a decent amount of survivors won’t know how he fully functions. I’m not a master yet. But an apprentice.
I would love to play him but my only issue when playing singularity for me is the motion sickness I get when changing perspectives I can only manage one or two matches with him before having to stop playing.
@@LiunUK I can understand that. The fast paced camera swapping to save time, the constant overclock effect on your screen. It may get easier the more you do it tho.
Ofc, because bro can literally teleport to you from almost anywhere. You see him chasing one of your friends, and next seconds bro spawns right behins your back💀
Don't get why I don't see Singularity more often, he's fun to play. Sure, he isn't your classic chase & hit killer but that is what makes him so unique to play. You're more of a surveying Killer, than actual chase. Best comparison would be a combination of Ghostface and Trapper, since you are heavily relying on your biopods and if you wanna engage, you want to hit a survivor fast and not get into a chase. Love the playstyle of him
I love the concept and the possible strategies of this killer, but every time I play him I get ear fatigued after the first game. Way to intrusive , loud and repetitive chase music. Makes me sad...
I've started to pick him up more (p25 atm) and he's actually a blast to play and is crazy good because of what you can do with his cameras and synergy with certain perks/add-ons
And this is the exact reason why not so much people give cred to Hux - it is tactic&strategic killer. It doesn't require as much muscle memory as Hillbilly or Nurse, but more of map awareness and mindgaming ability like Trapper or Hag. You have to combine patient, strategic, Trapper-like approach, jumpscaring survivors via your pods and getting constant intel on their position, with agressive and rapid pressure putting with your ability to cut the distance immediately and big mindgaming potential. Man, 70% of your encounters on loops you are able to force survivors to vault back right into your hands if you play your pods right. So yes, this killer requires certain mindset to play as. And rewards you high for maintaining it.
@@TiBarrett It's sad because people don't want to actually take the time to learn and master him. That's why you barely see him, same goes for pyramid head.
For me, the biopods feel very unwieldy, and most of the time the survivor will just immediately EMP anyways, so HUX just feels very frustrating to play
@@maxigromek4444thank you DBD community, for taking every chase theme that wasn’t meant to be listened to beyond the scope of the chase and bullying behavior into making it something entirely different. Seriously, why can’t the sci-fi killers at the very least have their alarms back in their chase music?
I've seen some people say that the alarm is supposed to be a low oxygen alarm used in submarines. While I couldn't find any examples, a lot of submarines seem to have a "general" alarm that sounds similar to the alarm in this and I think that's really cool. Who knows, if we ever get space travel in our lifespan we might use simialr alarms.
Layer 1: exploring the moon Layer 2 Running towards the space shuttle Layer 3 failure malfunction step out and trying to fix the problem Layer 4: you've been spotted by the lifeform RUUUUn😮.
The chase literally sounds like Ghostfaces live chase. The terror radius is good but the chase is just awful. Could have made it better but they just basically copy and pasted Ghostfaces chase over it. It just has more of an alarm to it and that's it. (I like Layer 3/8 Meters the most, it reminds me so much of Soma. Gotta use headphones to really hear it.)
@@Soapromancerclassic "do it better yourself" quasi-argument. Imagine you in your 50s decide to finally lose virginity and you hire a prostitute but instead of sucking you off, she bites you. And in response to your "wtf are you doing, I don't like it" she says "I've done it 50 times today, do it better yourself lmao"
@@Soapromancer @juniperulfbjorn8436 they've done other pieces before that didn't sound similar to each other. Just this one is the only one that sounds identical to another. The other original killers have almost the exact same drums used for each chase. But they did it differently with Demogorgon, Nemesis, Wesker, Blight, Clown, Spirit, Sadako, Dredge and Pyramid Head. They don't sound anything like anyone else's chase music. And again I'm talking CHASE music, not the over all terror radius. DBD's main staple with chase music is the drums, that's always been there for most killers. As far as I'm concerned, and by what i hear with HD Headphones, The Singulairities Chase music is identical to GhostFaces. Just seems more high pitched, that's it. They could have honestly taken more inspiration from Soma's music. (Like in the 8 meter terror radius) The chase music in Soma is unsettling. They could have built it up to something similar to that since they were going for a Soma like chapter anyways. So they could have made it sound more like that and a bit more distorted. Also.. idk why people go online and comment, being nothing but douchebags when everyone's entitled to their own opinions. You're just making yourself look dumb doing it. This is my opinion on the chase music, and a couple others mentioned the exact same about how it's like Ghostfaces, so I'm not the only one with that option.
Like Singularity main, layer 8 makes me feel much more like the killer, an android with delusions of grandeur, an AI that just wants to make itself superior to everyone, which is why I love it
First two phases are really nice. It has a sorta friendly but distorted sound to it, like a previously happy tune twisted which fits Hux. Falls off at phase 3 for me though when they use a similar dishwasher they used for Ghostface's old theme.
I think it has the same issue with Ghostface's one, they removed almost COMPLETELY the alarm sound in the chase music, but in my opinion it was what make it overwhelming, now it feels like there is something missing on it, maybe just putting the alarm sound down a little bit would be better. At least, it will no longer give headache to players.
@@mach7teFor real. For them, literally any chase music they don't like is apparently "a washing machine". I have a washing machine and it doesn't sound like that at all 😂🤷♂️
ok, i said in the PTB comments that i wonder if the chirping being removed would help the music, and it does.. but i feel like the droning still isn't present. if it was a bit less subtle, that would be cool, but i think this is a great rendition
