I love how the new chase music and layers makes it seem like you’re in a actual movie and the how the 4th layer makes you feel like your running for life trying to fight back or escape while the earlier layers are eerie like how in alien 1 they don’t know what it is until it’s too late
The original was literaly the alarm from the self-destruct in the first movie, if anything that felt more like being in the movie. This is instrumental garbage you can slap on half the killers and never notice it's supposed to fit the alien...
@@dearcastiel4667 sounds and instrumentals are subjective personally I prefer the new one over the old one but I perfectly get your point on why you don’t like it
I'm already mad enough they didn't use his OG re3 theme that both re3s used and both marvel vs Capcom games used despite how good his dbd theme is, don't try to make it any worse for me
@Aboulclappednext_1234 Nemesis' chase music is fine (if not one of the best in he game), I just wish I lived in it timeline where they remixed his RE3 boss theme into it This new alien theme is fine
I came back to dead by daylight yesterday and had a xenomorph and I absolutely love this music…like I get peoples opinion when they say the sound isn’t terrifying but to me the music feels like a contest of “ how long can you resist/defy the ultimate lifeform
I prefer the first three layers from the PTB more, tbh. Felt more fitting and atmospheric. That said; Chase-music is *definitely* an improvement, mainly because it sounds like a genuine horror-theme and not a 2 second loop of a washing-machine going off.
@@zeporion6091the last one was annoying to have to listen to constantly, this one is nicer and still captures the feeling of needing to escape If you're telling people to cope over video game music then maybe you should practice what you preach
I like both themes, PTB was definitely eerily horror and this new one is like Cinematic Horror. New is: Start Running because its got its sights on you. While the original PTB was Run while you can.
It sounds much much better and menacing. I know people defended the old one saying it’s an alarm from the movie and the game but hearing that over and over every game… you would eventually get tired of it
@@assembled1855this, I saw maybe 2 to 3 comments out of a sea of hate liking the old one, now all I see is "I miss the old one" 😂 Me personally I think keeping the first 3 layers of the old one would of been ideal and having the actual chase this version would of been great.
More menacing than the PTB one? Bullshit. The third layer was spine tingling intimidating. This is just generic and lost all of the otherwordly predator vibe it had.
PTB layers were wayyyyy more exciting and felt much more alien-esque. As for the chase I do prefer the LIVE one but the PTB one would’ve been salvageable if they tried.
I like the old one more for how chaotic it sounded as you ran from an unknown creature. This chase music makes it feel more like you're being chased by a normal threat
This is alright. But I feel like they had a cool idea with the alarm in the PTB that they just needed to tweak. Instead they scrapped the idea and kind of went a more basic route. Now it feels a bit less Alien and more just generic sci fi monster chase. The actual chase works well with this, but I feel the further meters ambience of the PTB was a lot better. In general, I think I would have preferred the PTB version more. The chase may have been a bit odd, but everything felt more “Alien”. I think they need to tweak the chase music one more time. Because now this feels like they tried fixing a problem by going to the other extreme when there is room for a balance to be made.
You could slap this theme on nemesis, demo, ghostface, wesker or Trapper and think it's their original theme, it's absolutly mundane and bland, doesn't fit the xenomorph in particular, just generic instrumental horror theme, a shame they listened to the crybabies...
@@r3q901 DBD community sucks with anything that seems cool ambient wise. Like the old Doctor effects that would flash on the screen, but they removed it because it “hurt people’s eyes”
@@r3q901Then tweak the window wipers. That is legit the only problem with the PTB and it’s a simple fix but I guess Behavior felt like a overhaul was a better idea.
i loved the ptb chase so much ;((((((((( this one so good too but i wish we could choose chase music or one of these chase musics was to his legendary or default skin on choice and have the other one too beside that
I love that everyone hated the Alien theme at PTB and that's precisely why they changed it, but out of nowhere and for some reason they come to say that the previous one was better. This community only knows how to complain, they do not know how to receive what is given to them.
@@Sgt.Simmoisabigdumbpoopoohead I did in fact watch the movie, the old PTB chance music was a nod to the movie it had the Nostromo alarm. What are you getting at?
While this new one is also good, I prefer way more the old one tbh. Only the chase music wasn't that great, but could've been tweaked. This new one is still great tho, it gives a lot of old horror movie vibes. But man, the transition from the first layer to the second layer is jarring as fuck tho and feels really out of place. I also miss the old Ghostface music too 😭😭
In-game: Your average yet amazing horror chase theme with cool build ups in atmosphere and terror radius PTB: Much more eerie tone with sirens for terror radius. Windscreen wipers for chase music
The PTB’s music is more reminiscent of Alien (very creepy deep space vibes) the Live’s music is more reminiscent of a licensed boss character (huge orchestra that does the license justice).
I personally like this a lot. It’s definitely less atmospheric but I think it’s much easier to listen to, and sounds good anyways. Listening to this gives me less of a cosmic vibe, and more of a dangerous creature vibe. Works for me but it can definitely be a turn off for others
the old chase music was way better i know it sounds like a washing machine but it was a remix of the nostromo reckage alarm and was more unique and scary as your getting chased by an unknown creature while the new one sounds like your being chased by a subarbun serial killer
I'm happy they changed it. I liked the terror-radius on the ptb but the chase music sounded like a fucking washing machine what is gonna blow up any second because its 30 years old.
The third layer its truly unselting. Like a chorus to ones inminent death. The chase on the other hand doesnt feel right. Looks like if the assasin was the terminator or just a boss fight in some dark game.
The old chase music had the issue of sounding horrible when isolated. But the in game sounds really helped it, this just feels like it’s trying to hard to be intense, which isn’t a bad thing, it just feels off-ish
I honestly prefer all the layers for this one instead of the PTB ones, mainly because it sounds like what true horror themes are, however I do think the PTB layers ( not the chase ) were more creepy.
