The practical effects in this movie are mind-blowingly awesome.

I always loved the conversation at the end of the movie where they are talking about the afterlife and what they want to be resurrected as and I think its Rodger that says " I hope I come back as a girls bicycle seat."

In Japan, where I live, this film is called ZOMBI COP.

Note to self: when I make a movie, make a product placement deal with Mrs. Fields because they'll go for it.

Very underrated movie....

My favorite line in that film was "Remember the good old days when guns killed people?"

I love how this movie has no shortage of uzis and hand grenades.

when i was a kid this was my favorite films. it showed how good story, good dialogue, and great talent can sell anything.

One of my favorite actors, Treat Williams.. This movie has a good mix of action, comedy and the undead. I really enjoyed it.

Thanks to my mom i saw this on tv when i was ten, took me another ten years to rediscover, i have seen it since two dozen times!:) Love the 80's!

This movie was great. I feel fortunate to have seen it in the theater. Given so few people I've known had even heard of it at the time, I'm glad you covered it.

Every post-un-mortem scene is a howl ! 6:37 he got up from the trolley although strapped as a corpse. The bike patrolman got out his gun summoning him to freeze. Roger Mortis got out his insignia ''I am a police officer, and I need your gun and your bike.''

I love this movie. When it came out, I got it on VHS and now, I own it on DVD. It is one of my favorite guilty pleasures.

Some of these movies are so random and Reddit that it's like the writers wrote down the details to a dozen fever dreams ripped them all up, and pulled enough full a movie out of a heart at hat\box at random. I love it xD.

My favorite zombie cop is maniac cop.

One of the zombie robbers is played by Pons Mar, the monkey man from The Golden Child. I love this movie, saw it in a theatre

That scene in the library where the dude runs across the room was filmed in the Pasadena Central Library on Walnut Street in Pasadena California. I go there literally all the time.

Saw this years ago, two friends recommended it then fell asleep watching it on VHS, I saw it to the end and really enjoyed it. Good fun.

I just watched the full movie using my android box and it is honestly one of my new favourite movies of all time. I love it. Thanks for bringing to your viewers some movies we might not have heard of otherwhise through this channel, through it I have seen so many movies I never even knew existed and I even have a few new favourites. Keep making your wonderful content and showing us what campy goodness we are missing out on.

Awesome movie, 80's horror comedy at it's best. Recently saw it on a whim on Netflix & loved every minute of it. It would of been cool if they made a sequel for it. Great review :)

ANOTHER excellent pick! I caught this back in college at a weekend matinee in one of the dingiest theaters in town. Still own the laserdisc, upgraded to DVD, then bought it again on Blu-Ray a few years ago. Used to look forward to any movie Mark Goldblatt edited; we'd call him Mark Goldsplat, because you were guaranteed lots of squib work shootouts!

Something the beginning reminded me of was when a Chicago cop had a shootout with a bank robber. He shot the robber in total 14 times and 6 of them were in vital organs Any one of six of these wounds - in the heart, right lung, left lung, liver, diaphragm, and right kidney - could have produced fatal consequences, “in time,” He eventually domed him 3 times. Paramedics arrived AND THE ROBBER WAS STILL ALIVE. He survived all the way to the hospital where they had to give up because he was losing all the blood bags they were giving him. The ER doctor was quoted saying “ We may as well stop. Every bag of blood we give him ends up on the floor. This guy’s like Swiss cheese” Even more insane was the robber wasn’t on any drugs or alcohol!

Definitely the skinned zombie cow was an inspiration for the zombie meat enemy for Timesplitters Future perfect, even they got them to moo before exploting them with a PSI dart gun.

Damn it! I had a copy of this that came with the Anchor Bay zombie pack! I gave it to a friend of mine who loved this movie!

I feel lucky to have been around when most of these movies came out. And Dead Heat was considered terrible mainly because of Joe Piscopo.

This looks awesome!! I've seen a film called Dead Heat but it was a crime comedy starring Kiefer Sutherland that I got for free with a DVD-player. :d Probably the reason this one has flown under my radar, I actually thought this vid was about that film.

I remember getting this on an ex rental VHS tape from Blockbuster afrer i saw a piece on it in Fangoria.lol. brilliant film funny and great special effects. Very underrated, or should that be undeadrated.
