PS they should’ve added Franks old E3 2005 as a achievement outfit for killing 7,200 zombies and get a picture of Xbox summit Frank’s ugly face as a joke
1:50 How cool would it have been if the town was a playable area. Instead of flying over the town at the beginning of the game imagine if you had to make your way to the mall on foot through the town.
I agree. Disappointing they didnt do that with Dead Rising 2. Although In some sense they did if you include Case Zero. Would have been nice if that was at the beginning of DR2 and not just a demo.
Dead rising 2 would of been good if it carried on as Frank leaving the mall and having to get to another survival camp e.g. on a cruise ship, having to make his way to it through willamete etc
I love how the first version of Frank's model looks like a creepy goblin. I'd imagine that iteration of Frank sounds exactly like Danny Devito. No offense to Devito though.
This channel brings back so many good memories for me. I first got this game & fell in love with it when I was like 15? Idk. Thinking back though, those days were great. So care free. For bringing back those memories, I thank you.
Super late comment here, but the ragdoll models you see in the old case file pics around 7:30 is actually just the low quality model capcom uses to animate the character. Way back then it's less resource intensive and faster to actually animate with low quality ragdoll models than the actual final high quality models. The old hair is probably just a super low quality version of the regular hair the animators used to make sure that frank's hands didn't clip through them when animating stuff since So those old case file pics were probably just some quick screenshots capcom used for placeholder
Man the secrets of the Xbox Summit build continues to fascinate me it’s so radically different and I guess that’s what really draws me in it’s for lack of better terms the Holy Grail of Dead Rising Beta builds
ok le mec un gros fou de dead rising perso moi aussi mais je les plus cela fait déjà des années mon cher mais c''est la première fois que je vois une personne aussi intéligente que toi pour un jeux franchement
I don't know as much about earlier builds of Dead Rising as you do, but would it still be possible to find a disc or something like you did with the preview/beta disc of the Tokyo Game Show and Xbox Summit builds of it?
Eh, I must be one of the few who preferred his original ogre/Dan Aykroyd face. Looking back on how the game headed towards a more comedic tone, the goofier look just suited it better, in my opinion. There's obviously a clear difference between his comedic look and the more serious looking zombies, though. I'd say tone for the game was all over the place at the beginning, and still is to some extent. The zombies and the mall itself feel like a gritty setting for any serious zombie game or movie, yet those who are still alive are a mix of wild caricatures and stone faced characters. It's what gave me mixed feelings on the final game when I played it.
If the first game is ever remade I want things like: The mall to be faithfully recreated, and the option to turn off the timer, I know that is a turn off to most but it would just be nice to have the option if players want to experience the game at their own pace should they want too.
