I really enjoy watching these guys perform. I don't really get people hating on George's stage presence. He's feeling the music and allowing it to flow naturally. Nothing wrong with that.
i disagree, he dances how one person in a thousand dance in a hilarious way and then it ends up on youtube and it has a million views. nothing wrong with laughter but it is what it is. ridiculously hilarious,
People are saying George's screams are getting worse, but as far as I'm concerned he's just sounding more like the generic trve kvlt black metal vocalists these days. People will never be decently satisfied with this band, it's a shame.
I just commented on a video from April with the complete opposite. I thought his vocals were pretty good 4 years ago, but he has gotten better. Most of his high/mids sound a lot like Travis Ryan.
randomly found them via YT and no idea what you're talking about, this band is everything ive ever wanted in terms of crossover music - I cant name you a single BM band either. this stuff's fuckin amazing and everyone who says otherwise isnt too smart to begin with.
They're very shot, George doesn't scream from his diaphragm, and after few years of that your voice will be gone. However, on their recent release Infinite Granite George learned how to do cleans and scream properly, so their live shows are only going up from here!
Tragically underrated band. I saw them with Lamb of God. Crowd hated them, mostly because I honestly don't think they understood or have any fucking clue what black metal is. maybe because they don't look metal or something...idk....I on the other hand was in awe. Maybe it was because it was LoG, Anthrax, and power Trip not really a black metal crowd I guess.
@@Marauder623 some people consider them black metal early on and post metal now. To the point though, most people at a Lamb of God show didn't really care about them
Where has my passion gone? Has it been carried off by some lonely driver in a line of florescent light? Has it been blurred together in ribboned patterns on the night? Along the stretch of some unnamed plane, we began again. I saw in your face that we’re the same when we began again. A multiverse of fuchsia and violet surrenders to blackness now. My world closes its eyes to sex and laughter
1:01:05 gave me goosebumps!! Crazy to think George and Kerry were my class mates and part of the punk rock crew I ate lunch with everyday for 4 years!!!! Kerry if you see this hit me up brother I've been your biggest fan since 2014 I miss u guys
Do you know why he left? I know he moved to Brooklyn but I thought he was still playing with them. I didn't see any statements from the band at all about it, just figured he was sitting this tour out for some reason.
You may be right. I just read on Deafheaven's reddit a few days ago that he was not in the band anymore so I'm not entirely sure, I may need to ask them for a source on that. They seemed to firmly believe he wasn't in the band anymore. My fault for not researching further.
He just has a more receded hairline, that's not what "balding" is. It's always been like that, he just has long hair in this which kinda accentuates it.
Love how people need to create subgenres, I get why this is blackgaze but if you don't get why this is black metal get the fuck out, this shit is brutal and evil as it gets
I knew this band was not my cup of tea before I clicked, but mother of god that singer makes Billy Corgan look like Bob Dylan. Affected rubbish. Thou is somewhat similar minus the enormous pretense .
