Honestly I don't even care about the dumb garbage Explorer Notes that just yap in your ear and that you can't turn off why would I additionally want to go find these as well ?

The answer is the first sentence of the video. If you want skins thats how you get them, if you don't want the skins you can skip that.

To be fair you can disable audio playback of explorer notes when you close the pop up window after you collect them. Its in the settings -> advanced -> left side 3rd from bottom.
