Jenn, I so appreciate this video. I thought I was the only one overwhelmed and avoiding the very expensive trailer I had hoped would bring me joy. I have yet to use the cassette toilet or put water in the storage tank. I have found ways around using them. And the Television, oh my God!!! The whole Jensen system, I can’t even make the clock work. I finally bought a small portable clock so I know what time it is during the night. I’m driving from Orlando to Ft. Lauderdale Friday and dreading going on I-95 … totally avoiding the FL Turnpike. Yikes! You can use my name, by the way I’m 76, husband and son died within one year of each other … really need some “fun” in my life.

To anyone feeling overwhelmed by learning the Tab: I have been learning how to use my new tab320s by finding youtube videos and watching them and then taking the video to my trailer on my cell phone and starting the video, pausing the video- do the one thing, start the video, pause the video - do the second step. Etc etc. Just one step at a time. That is how I am learning. My advice- Don’t try to listen to a video or read the instructions and do the whole thing… just do one step at a time and don’t feel bad if you have to watch it a hundred times! I am really mechanically inclined and I have to walk myself through it with the videos one step at a time. So it may take a while but you will learn it and it will feel great!

New owner of a mint condition 2014 T@B 320 here! Not feeling overwhelmed, trying to take everything in stride, but just wanted to say I appreciate your channel and all of your other videos. It really does help to remember that EVERYONE has made mistakes and EVERYONE had to start somewhere with their trailer adventure. And it's true about other T@B folks! My very first night out camping this weekend (literally drove it from the dealer to a campground 5 miles away) I happened to be next to another T@B 320 and the folks came over and were all, "We've never parked right next to another T@B!" The trailers are so cute they get a lot of interest and comments from other folks too. Fun times.

@@JennGroverPhotography Yeah, I was removing the two 12 V to take them inside for the winter, and I had unhooked one but not the other. The positive terminal hit the diamond plate and oh boy. I freaked out and called 911. Lots of insurance so no long term issues other than my ego. Good learning too. I won't let that happen again.

Just when I felt confident and able with my 320S/Subaru Ascent, I traded it in for a 400/Ford F150 and hoo-boy, mistakes have been made! It's a new learning curve and I'm having fun (along with cussing myself). As others have mentioned, I'm ok to park crooked, to take a half dozen tries to back up, to do without the stove if the propane is cranky, the list goes on. You're right, it's about me and how I want to travel. Buying the T@Bs have taught me that I can do things I've never done, can solve problems. They've opened up avenues of exploration, new horizons, new ways to live my elder years. If you're truly unhappy with your T@B, sell it and move on to what makes you happy. If you decide to stick with it, give yourself patience, grace, and a good amount of time. Jenn's suggestion to take one hurdle at a time is a good one.

My wife and I are new T@b owners too (formerly roof top tent people). I watch a LOT of videos from Jenn, Mandy Lea, and others and find them EXTREMELY helpful. I've never had a camper or towed anything and was really opposed to towing anything but watching Jenn and her friends doing it really helped put my mind at ease. We haven't taken it camping yet but I find myself running out to the camper (covered in the driveway) several times a day just to try things out and see where things are or how they work. Just yesterday I tried out the stereo system and the TV. Like Jenn said, try out one thing at a time to get used to them. BTW, I still have to have my wife back the camper up, she's much better at it than I am but I'll get there :)

Thank you for such informative videos Jenn. You don't know me but I watched all of your videos plus many more from others before purchasing my T@B last year. I'm alone as well but luckily I had a camper van before so there was some knowledge already there but I had never towed anything and I did feel a little overwhelmed at times. I learn something new on every trip out. On my most recent trip, it was raining when I was unhooking at the dispersed campsite and I forgot to remove the emergency breakaway cable before pulling my car away. I had no phone signal or internet connection but I drove my car down into town to get a signal and googled what to do. I quickly found out to simply plug it back in and it worked fine. Don't give up. Take Jenn's advice and learn one thing at a time. Break it down so it's easy to swallow piece by piece. Best of luck newbies!

Age 71 and still learning. Last weekend my outdoor shower disconnected inside my 2021 TabS 320 boondock. I jumped into action, found the problem behind the driver’s side cushion, had my emergency tools and tightened up the shower hose and quickly cleaned up the water. No damage! I think I know a lot of things to fix myself including how to fix the window shade without taking the window apart! Again your videos, others videos plus online sharing gave me lots of information and continue to solo camp with confidence Thanks for all you do for all us Tabbers

Thanks for your sweet video! This was my first trailer. Yes, I was all alone in learning. I am three years into ownership, and I can't say I know everything. Your tip on taking one thing at a time is exactly what I did. One day was the fridge... one day the alde... many days the pipes! I have a 2018, and took my time staring at them and understanding them. The water pipes were hard for me because I could not wrap my head around the alde bypass. I understand now that I need that in line to be "ON". meaning blocked. So now... I can say, I never had my T@B winterized or dewinterized by anyone but myself. I learned that I can back a small trailer like an expert quickly, even though I never did it before. The only problem I had, was early on, I threaded the 30 amp cord wrong and cracked it. No biggie. A few months after purchase from a previous owner, I found leaks around the fan and in the back. Facebook groups taught me how to fix the taillights and put a maxx air fan hood on the fan to prevent further problems. Mark Turney videos are helpful with maintenance and Paul Thomas always had links to any questions. Facebook groups got me through it all! T@B 320, Nucamp owners Group and Other T@B groups. This year I will attend my first Mandy Lea rally and can't wait to learn more tips and tricks! Also, thanks to your many videos!

But I just recently came across the information for New TAB Owners 8 hour course. Which I called and signed up for. Looking forward to attending class . I plan on driving to Sugarcreek Ohio with my TAB. Jenn, being you are an ambassador of NuCamp’s TAB 320 I have watched many of your youtube video’s along with Andy Lee & Kendrick’s videos long before I actually purchased my TAB in April of 2023. So, I used to get frustrated but now I accept that I will f* up at least once in each trip. My support has been the Facebook group, for sure. I don’t understand those Vanilla things. My approach to camping now is to get rid of anything that causes me anxiety. I don’t need to park straight, I just need to be in my spot and not hit anything. I don’t need to have the cutest campsite, I just need my basic necessities. I plan my trip knowing that Goodgle maps will underestimate the time of arrival since I am not willing to drive over 62 miles. I no longer worry if I am leaving some thing. There is always a Walmart and a target close by. This is to have fun, not to stress out.

I'm so glad that this question was asked and that you have taken the time to answer it! I had owned three other trailers before I bought my t@b and thought I understood how to trailer. When I brought my tab home, and I started reading through the manual, I realized how little I understood the t@b systems. Then my husband was diagnosed with a serious health issue the week after I bought the trailer. The trailer sat for many months, and I lost my enthusiasm for it, which made me even more afraid to go on my first camping trip. Fortunately, my first trip ended up being the NorCal tab rally, and I learned so much that I was no longer afraid of my trailer. It was so helpful to be around other people that had trailers just like mine, who had gone through the same learning curve and had suggestions on how to fix things or modify things or just make things work. All of your suggestions were so right on! Your videos and other RU-vid videos and Facebook groups and practice whether in your driveway or somewhere near your home, and focusing on one thing at a time. Thank you!

Another great video Jenn! I am going to be picking up our new 2024 T@B CS-S this coming week! I'm so excited. In preparation for picking it up, I've read the digital version of the owner's manual as well as the Alde system manual. I have also been watching as many videos on the functioning of on board systems as I can. We are first time RV owners so getting a head start on all the information that I'll need to know has greatly reduced my stress level to the point that I'm just excited. I am a very handy person so the thought of maintenance and repairs isn't really stressing me out as I fully understand and expect things to happen along the way. I think your advice on this video is really great. At this point I just don't yet know what I don't know. I'm sure I'll have some questions for you once we have a chance to go out for some local shake-down overnights. I do have one question about the graphics on your trailer. Where did you get those? I'm already thinking of changing mine. But baby steps, I know.

I have had my small teardrop (not a Tab but i find your videos helpful, nonetheless) for 2 years now and still have trouble backing up. In that time I've only taken 5 trips because it causes me such anxiety. I only go to campgrounds with pull-through sites. I really wanted this year to be the year I try dispersed camping. However I am a solo female camper and I feel that there is higher risk now. The economy is causing more homeless and more crime and violence. Should i stick to pay campgrounds for safety? @barbforrest6026 it should be connected to the battery, and you should be able to follow the cables with your eyes to see if it is. The dealer installs the battery, so they are the ones who would have done this. You will need a solar panel with a built-in controller, but this time of year, you will likely get a poor solar yield due to shorter days
