Hi guys! Andy back again!
Welcome to a different type of video, a highly requested detailed look at my pride and joy…my Death Korps of Krieg Imperial Guard army. You’ve seen them in action on the battlefield, but I always get asked for more content on them. I’ve spent countless hours painting up this army and making custom bases for each component. I have a lot of rare pieces from Forgeworld, as well as being lucky enough to have some pieces donated to me as well. I’ve loved being able to show off some of the army in battle reports on the channel but this video is the first time the whole army has been seen together. I have tutorials on my channel(from the early days) on how to paint Death Korps of Krieg in this very quick and easy scheme, plus a basing tutorial for these trench/duckboard type bases.

Seeing a a fully painted Guard army of decent size brings a tear to my eyes... I myself am working on my cadians (wich I started collecting because I couldn't afford FW back then) I recently finished my infantry, but a ton of tanks and artillery still await my airbrush and paintbrush 😅

Very impressive! I had never heard of the Quartermasters before, but their explanation makes them perfect for the lore! Also, €3500 is pretty sobering, but how many of us have that much product still on the sprue? Good on you for being able to actually play with them!

Once im don't with my 2k Dark Angels army, I am going to collect forgeworld Krieg Kits while I work on my Chaos Undivided army. Eventually, getting all you have here plus a Krieg Baneblade and Krieg styled Cerastus Knight ally. I haven't had the slightest clue where to find these that aren't already painted. On that topic, I'd pay you cash money for a painting tutorial for your army. I am so in love with it. I also intend on making a pillbox with twin linked stubbors in it and asking if I can use it in games as a stationary support battery with demolition charges on their board edge.

That was a great showcase video 👍 All the little extra bit on the bases just takes them to the next level. I think my favourite unit because is the quarter master and the trooper on the ground, just because it captures the spirit of the army. I never knew that character existed. I feel bad singling out just one unit and they are amazing. Top hobby 👍

Absolutely gorgeous looking army! Love the details on the bases too! Makes it feel much more alive then just the basic sprinkling of sand! Really does a lot to make it seem like a snapshot out of a "real" battle! And the drill coming out of the ground is insanely cool looking! Love it! Working on a Krieg army myself but so far I'm still on the building stage! Since i found out heating resin up makes it "mold-able" building has slowed to a crawl but kit-bashing and making my own "custom poses" is a ton of fun! I might copy that concept of having one guy with his shovel in hand if you don't mind Andy! 😁

Looks great bud :-) I am coming up with some points stuff atm for OPR Grimdark Future, Human Defence Force going with a sort of Kreig look to them will be printing stuff off from The Makers Cult and Red Makers :-) Also having them done so I can use them for Imperial Malitia in Horus Heresy since they just came out with rules for them :-) going with a darker over all tone in the grays, blues/greens almost black but for the shadow contrasts to add a different feel to the minis (I love to use darker blues, greens and purples for shadows and dark places more chromatic look) as well but still the muddy dirty trench feel but alot of tanks and other fire power. Big damn project ha Love seeing these guys done up.

Very, very impressive! I'm new to 40k and keep hearing that there's no proper codex for a whole Krieg army... What do you use to play a proper 40k battle? I've just bought the kill teams box and can't wait to paint them!

I just use the app to build a list and that has all the krieg units. Other then that I use the standard codex. And thank you I’m glad you liked it.

I'm just getting into Warhammer 40k. Got the commander edition and am really interested in running the kreig. So much that I'm building a trench war board and my brother is printing me a 2000 point army with a bunch of extra units. Really interested in those suicide bomber tanks. I want an actual games workshop army of kreig but for now still hyper for my 3d printed army just so I can run the kreig. Nah man, this is my showcase army! My channel is all about getting models on the table looking good, but done in a very simple way, hope you check out my tutorials and don’t be hard on yourself. Would you ever include Station Forge models in your army? They aren’t GW official but the poses are really nice and they’re fun to paint. And they would certainly be cost effective!

Before his message of never heard of them. I just checked them out. Really nice stuff but I probably won’t ever include modes like that in this army. I am scouting around for the best alternative drop guard army to do a 1000 points of. So I’m not adversed to that kind of thing.

Awesome army! How well does it hold up with the new astra militarum codex? I'm new to the hobby and don't really understand how it all works. The death riders didn't get new rules for example, does that mean you can't use them in 9th?

400 euro for 20 mounted Kreig..Laughs in 3d printer where it costs $10 on my 6k printer once painted you couldn't tell it is a print. GW is insane..

I do own an run a 3D printer. But my stupid brain like it as a collection. So the real ones are the once I want I know it’s silly. I am doing a drop guard army of the printer soon so that should be fun.

I’m a grown man….. but there is something about miniatures that just gets me wetting my pants…. What’s peoples thoughts on other brands? StationForge?? Are they just ripping off Warhammer? But there marketing pics of there miniatures look insane… or are they just part of games workshop? I’m a total noob really…. I’m just trying to look for cheaper space marine style miniatures for my sons. Remember playing space hulk and space crusade and hero quest when I was younger I really enjoyed it. Some of the more have a minute cheers. But I’m just wanting to get them an army said that they can play with. But obviously games workshop is bloody expensive.

I 3D print some proxy models(including from station forge!) as interesting extra pieces for my armies. I have never done a full proxy army but can totally understand people doing that as it is a lot cheaper, especially for kids when it’s a big investment that they might not stick with. The only issues you’ll have is playing in official tournaments etc, but if you’re looking for your son to be able to play some games/paint at home/with friends then go ahead. You can always buy the “real” thing in future if he gets more in to it.
