I decided to install Debian Testing on my Thinkpad T430s using a spare SSD using the live ISO which has the calameres installer which Im more used to, despite it being somewhat more advanced than Ubuntu it does work well and especially when things like flathub is setup. This is ofcourse the testing version they may be bugs, and not updating it correctly can cause it to not boot but so far I havent experienced such, and Im using the version as its less off a hassle having to update the kernel on stable, as this uses kernel 6.7.
