I have a medical equipment courier kind of route its usually a 10-12 hours a day but we have too set up the equipment like beds, concentrators, suction machines etc easy money 1500-2700 a week.. All 1099 so yeah you are right opportunity are always there. Medical delivery can be intimidating however you can pretty much learn everything you need to know on RU-vid AKA RU-vid certified

Oh sweet bro! Yeah they all are a bit different depending on the opportunity. The one I’m in talks with is delivering medical equipment in totes and stuff. Glad to hear you got yourself a good paying route!

@@JourneyWithCameron I live in Maricopa but I drive into Gilbert Tempe to pick up my deliveries around 11am I usually take care of everything west of the I-17 all the way to Wickenburg/ Tonopah if I had a early morning run I can do one coming in just as long as I'm done before 10ish so I can get to my contracted route I'd say I could start at 7 a.m. take care of a load or two and get back to my daily.

@@morenofernando6663 sweet bro! We’ll definitely find something to work out. I just found a potential to do some dedicated package runs and I can bring in other owner/operators. Should be like 40 stops in a few zip codes per route, paying like $5-6 per stop. I’m waiting for the company to finalize the contracts but could be something you could do!

I had a route lined up with USPack for 5:00-9:30am and they were offering up to $300 for the route for people with high top sprinter van. Ended up they didn’t win the bid, though they made it seem as if it was a certain job. So all in all, I’d confirm and make sure the route is a certain route to anyone looking to invest in anything. Good info, Cameron!

Yeah man some of these are great for sure!! But yes I agree with you in confirming everything. Sometimes thing don’t go as they might have led ya on. Gotta ask the right questions

It definitely takes a certain type of person to have the endurance to do this for a certain amount of time. My very first "job" wasn't finding one but creating my own courier route for newspapers. Typically these will go down late at night every day and it's predictable income. The problem is there really isn't a time to take a break unless you want to give up the route to someone else for a while to do car maintenance or even just take time off for you outside non working hours. On the plus side, you can think of these routes as assets that can be under your business and outsourced to another driver and you can get passive income off it. Pros and cons.
@JourneyWithCameron
@JourneyWithCameron 2 года назад
Yeah brother I feel that totally! I’m looking at these contracts more from the latter perspective you mentioned. I see them as assets that I can leverage with other drivers and like you said, sorta see passive income off it. Obviously there is still some operations and driver management involved, but overall not too bad.

Very inspiring. Looking into getting a cargo van. How many miles on the vehicle would you say would be a good purchase? Also is there a certain size van that's needed for on demand apps or contract work?
@JourneyWithCameron
@JourneyWithCameron 2 года назад
Ayee!! Honestly it all depends. As low as miles as you can afford I’d say cuz maintenance can really hurt your business. I would go atleast a medium roof and try to get as long as possible. Mines shorter than I wish it was.
@JourneyWithCameron
@JourneyWithCameron 2 года назад
But no I don’t think the apps require certain size, as long as it’s a full size cargo van not a small one

Hey do these delivery apps allow you to rent a van thru like fluid truck share or do you have to finance? and also the fedex route did they require a financed van to run their route
@JourneyWithCameron
@JourneyWithCameron 2 года назад
Hmm great question. I don’t know for sure but I can try and find out!

And no with the FedEx route I was contracted through a third party delivery company and they never asked about that. Just insurance

I owe a courier business and I'm looking for more contracts. I've switched to the managerial position and I'm having a hard time finding more contracts. Where would you look for business contracts?
@JourneyWithCameron
@JourneyWithCameron 2 года назад
Hmm gotcha! Congrats on expanding your business! I talk to everyone and give my card out a lot. I think being in the driver seat and pulling up to warehouse and manufacturing companies helps a lot because I’m already in the mix and just talking to people. I also call around sometimes but in person always works the best
