@@robmc120 sure, probably a little if both. I get confused when folks refer to “god” with little specificity. Humans have created thousands and thousands of gods, hell, a Christian next to u (assuming you are) may have a completely different version of their perfect god. Therefore, “Zeus says” is no less nonsensical to me.

@@conradical41 I can understand, but Romans 1:21 says, "For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him". People know it's the God of the Bible, if you watched any part of this video, you can see he holds the book to show which one he talks about. That's why Almighty God has the name God & all others are named "gods" like Zeus, do you see? They don't compare. God bless (Matthew 5:45)!

@@robmc120 - quoting the Bible to say that the Biblical God is the true one doesn't really advance your case. The writings associated with thousands of other gods could equally be put forward to say their god is the true one. Maybe there is truth in all of them, or none.

Simple once you look at what "being justified" means: Abraham had faith in God first, which means his heart was changed, not by himself, but by God. He already had righteousness imparted on him by God before any "acts/works" were done. And those works were simply the outgrowth (fruits) of a living faith (James 2).

@@nemesis3329 That didn't answer the question at all. The question is how does Gen 15;6 (which Paul used in Romans 4;3) prove Abraham was not justified by works (question asked in Romans 4;2). It doesn't. You faith alone Christians don't know what it is about.

@@weobeyjesus4565 What do you mean by "you faith alone Christians?" What works and how many assure your salvation, according to Scripture? Genesis 15:6 Then he believed in the LORD; and He reckoned it to him as righteousness. Faith alone right there. And Paul in Romans affirms this by stating: "For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. And verse 4 clearly distinguishes righteousness as a gift vice works where you earn wages, and verse 5 puts a final nail to this. Not sure why this is confusing or unclear.

@@nemesis3329 How does the fact that Abraham had some righteousness accounted for some faith prove that he did not also have righteousness accounted for works? It doesn't. So your interpretation is wrong.

@@weobeyjesus4565 I'm sorry but your question makes no sense. Where does it say that Abraham was justified twice? Is it not clear that Abraham's faith ALONE was enough? Or are you claiming his faith was a "work?" Who gives the gift of faith? Who changes your heart of stone to a heart of flesh?
