Thanks for the detailed review. I finally got my w lav pro and really happy with the clarity. The design is unique, looks professional and beautiful. The microdot connector is also one positive value for this mic. It can be fitted to various recorder.
Thank you for making this video. Based on your testing and demonstrations, I've orders both mics and I'll likely be making my own comparison video with the Sennheiser MKE2, a Senal CL6 and a $30 lav mic that I often use on sets when I don't trust that the talent will treat my expensive mics with care.
Plug In Power is pretty standardized and works across the board. I have been using the Deity for years with the Tentacle and they still work perfectly.
WIth the Wireless Go you have to keep in mind that it does not provide a screw on locking 3.5mm jack. But generally, I think either would be an upgrade to the internal mic. From what I hear the Tentacle Track E mics are kind of like the Sennheiser ME 2, so maybe that's a good comparison for you.
I have only one option to buy this lavaliere with the DA4 adapter , can i connect this directly to the F6 or do i need to buy 3.5mm adapter separately to connect on F6 via Rode VXLR PRO ?
When using mics like this with the 3.5mm adapter and the Zoom F6, you will also need to get something like the Røde VXLR Pro since the F6 does not have any 3.5mm connector input.
@@ChrisSpiegl I think you didn't understand my question I have VXLR PRO but the Deity which i selected it comes with default DA4 adapter my question is very simple how do I connect the lavelier to the F6 by using DA4 adapter cause mine is not a 3.5mm kit or can I connect it directly to the F6 ?
@@arunr4103 Ok, so you have a lavalier which has a microdot connector (and you have a DA4 adapter for that). But now you'd like to connect that lavalier to the Zoom F6 which only has XLR connectors and as an option you do have the VXLR Pro but that only has a 3.5mm jack. To connect the lavalier directly to the Zoom F6, it seems the best option would be to purchase the DA35 Microdot to Locking 3.5mm Adapter. Deity has that in store.
@@ChrisSpiegl Okay got it , so can we take the advantage of 32 bit float from F6 by connecting VXLR adapter on Deity W-lav or it works perfectly only with direct XLR mics? Did you try that?
@@arunr4103 Recording with 32bit float will always just give you the piece of mind that you put the gain wrong on the recorder but with the float file you'll be able to recover that. However, if you are using the Deity W-Lav wireless system which has it's own 24bit analog/digital converters, you may already clip in those. So you will still have to keep your eyes on that and make sure that you don't overdrive the mic capsule or the wireless 24bit converters.
