The moody looking tank is very cool...what's better is its easily changeable as you said!!!

Another excellent video guys. I don't know how these vids affect anyone else but for me I love the fact that you are both investing time and energy to share with others; plus they have given me the confidence to do more work on my bike than I otherwise would have done. Just yesterday I had my fork springs out in preparation for some pre-load work. Just need to find some right size tubage. You ARE making a difference. Maybe peel off the 'Triumph' letters to match the 'Bonneville' written on the casing below the seat. Bit fiddly but spotted it at 6:58 and thought it might go well! Looks lovely so far.

Nice one guys. It's definitely on the cool lines of the McQueen bike. Perhaps the badge in one of those satin alloy paints, to tie with the shocks and fins? A big lump tho' for one colour, be nice to pick out the name. But then, I dont have to do it all !! Spyke. :-)

It does make the tank pop. I'd stay with the black.

Drive it for awhile , like you say ,you can easily peel it off anytime. Cheers!

I agree with others, would put it back to chrome myself but that's the nice thing about the plasti dip you can play around with it

I would go for the chrome badge....but that's my opinion....keep it the way you like it!

Leave the badge black, just paint the Triumph lettering with chrome paint. Not the hole letters just the outside of each letter. So it matches the engine block.

If it was my bike I would go back to the chrome badge. But to each his or her own.

It's hard to know for sure without seeing it in sunlight but I like it, I know I'm a bit late to this video and you've already taken it off but I do think it looks pretty good.

Looks great IMO, i prefer the black badge over the all grey. Though if Penny choose's to keep the black Triumph badge I'd be tempted to do the Bonneville Badge black as well to match. P.S. thanks for the Bandit Brake fix video had to drill my calipers the other day and it was a great help.

IMO the Chrome look is going to look fantastic, it'll pick up the name from the side cover, the shocks, handlebar weights and the metal from the engine. If you prefer the black (which I do fancy BTW) I would go with black exhaust like you did on the scrambler. Thanks for sharing!

Love the Gun Metal Grey on Black, My first thought was that got a hint of Steve Mcqueen about it.

I rather like the black, it's more moody. It was worth doing for sure and good to be shown that the wrap will take the masking tape with a lot of care when removing. The bonus is that we'll probably get to see the chrome return with a bit of sharp blade action... get those plasters ready!

Looking cool and great vid. Think personally I would leave black but in the nature of 'trying' for 'trying's sake' I would pinstripe the raised or indents on the badge in a white or chrome paint

Is it possible to try and pick out the Triumph lettering on its own for a chrome-on-black badge effect?

Looks good. Its heading towards a military look. Black looks decent but i think the actual lettering needs to be brought up. I dont know if the vinyl wrap can be sprayed in a cup/can cap and applied with a fine brush. If thats possible I think 'Triumph' lettring can be uplifted with a military yellow/brownish/gold type colour. I googled military vehicle colours and quite a few came up that could suit. Idk. just a suggestion if you dont mind. :)

Nice easy job Del, I might have been tempted to try them in the same silver as the Bonneville decals on the side panels! Black normally bro I'd tell ya but to be honest I'm not totally sold on it, but hey the rest of the bike looks sweet, It's down to Penny really who are we to say what she likes, not me bro, no way am I disagreeing with a woman, lol, RSM8.

the colour combo looks good however, if it is possible to get the writing alone in chrome i think it would look awesome because now it just looks like a black "thing" on the tank (just my opinion).

I'm all about it all being blacked out. I have done away with most the chrome stuff on my bike but like another guy said maybe a little to much but it still looks good either way. Side question what is the temp rating on that stuff? For example could you do the rocker boxes on a sporty? Mine are chrome and they are driving me nuts lol.

It looks great, could you try to trim out the center of the triumph letters. Like the Bonnie on the side panels. The Bonnie is looking awesome.

Looks good dude. Would it be possible to get deep down and dirty with a scalpel and just reveal the chrome of the wording 'Triumph' thus leaving a grey tank, black badge with chrome detail? Hard to get a proper look at the badge in the light of the garage, might look awesome in some proper light. Good job as always though dude, L&R

Looks good buddy but I can't help thinking that a touch of shiny will give a nice contrast and fit in with the other bits. Less is more and all that :)

Not too sure ,,,,,, Just like the silver highlight on the mag wheels, would the outline of the lettering only, look ok if it was taken back to chrome?? Would that be too many colours - Grey, Black, Chrome?? As you say just a bit of fun.

I know its a bit more expensive but I highly recommend the green frog tape for masking. Its leaps and bounds better than anything else on the market :)

As others have said I'd remove the paint on the Triumph lettering back to chrome then see if you like it.

How about accenting the black badge with some chromey paint? The best of all possible worlds!

I think they look great. all black they are very manly and hard looking, For Penny what I would do though is razor-blade around the letters of Triumph so they come back to chrome, or hand brush the centres of the letters in a pop colour like yellow.

Pretty cool job Del :) looks good bud. Although i think you may be right with the chrome, may just look a bit better. If there wasn't already the chrome and silver accents over the bike it would be better keeping as is but.....got to go chrome! On another note, im almost fully healed and got back on the bike on thursday :D woohoo bike sailed through and MOT so fully legal and back on the road again, now just getting some miles under my belt to get the confidence back up again. need to get my head around the fact im not gonna bin it on every corner i come to lol conering like a total newbie :( oh well time is needed and time is what i will give it. Cool vid again mate and Penny's bike is looking great. take it easy mate ride safe :)

As good as delboys painting skills are, I'd go chrome! Going to test out your diy fork seal driver idea today too...genius idea!

Try using a white marker to accent the black. That might look cool and keep it different.

I dont know, the black bag makes the bike look abit mischievous and different. Chrome or black, it will look good

I'm a huge fan of your videos, love the way you create tutorials more for the average joe and none of this special tool malarky. I'm thinking it'll look good if you went back to chrome, matches the other accents you highlighted on the bike. The black looks a bit out of place imo.

The badge would be slick with the triumph in white writing with the black.

Here in the fine province of Alberta there are two tech colleges (SAIT/NAIT)which has a program teaching student how to paint cars trucks bikes etc. (among other programs) The best part is if you like the will paint your ride for just the price of supplies. not a bad deal if you ask me. Yes I'm thinking about it.

Its a long shot but you could have the best of both worlds and have part of the badge black and the rest chrome e.g. The letters a different colour to the background Anyway whatever you choose it'll look smart

Not sure on the black,I think the crome and black badges might look better. What about the headlight cowl are you going to black that out like on the scrambler. Tank badges might look better black with black headlight cowl Might black out the headlight cowl on the wifes bonnie , Sparkylee

Love the black badges! My Scrambler is the graphite/silver/grey (whatever you wanna call it) model and I wanted to de-badge it and have the 'Triumph' logo sprayed on professionally in black, as I've added quite a few black parts in place of chrome. Might just black the badges this way now though... Cheers for another top video guys! :)
