3 Meat Burger! (Beef,Pork & Lamb)
To make 1 lb. of burger meat...Start with 1/3 lb. beef, 1/3 lb. pork, and 1/3 lb. Lamb. (make the beef 80/20)
Mix the 3 meats well and add 1/4 tsp. Salt, Pepper, Onion Powder
& Garlic Powder. 1/4 tsp Oregano and 1/8 cup super fine diced red
onions.
Form into oblong patties, (The same shape as your sub-style buns.)
Grill until almost done then add cheese of your choice the last few
minutes.
Brush the sub-style buns with a mixture of 1/2 stick butter,
1 tbsp. of olive oil and 1 tsp. minced garlic.garlic.
Grill the buns until golden brown.
Make a sauce ....
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup mustard
1/4 cup mayo
2 tbsp. Honey
Mix well...
Spread a little sauce on the bottom 1/2 of the bun and then add
the meat. Add a little more sauce and then thin sliced tomatoes.
Add a bit more sauce then thin sliced red onions.
And yes! a bit more sauce then the top 1/2 of the bun.
(You can hit it with a little hot sauce if you like it spicy!)
Serve with dill pickles and chips!
