MANDALUYONG, MANILA
While wandering around the streets of Barangay Hulo (Barangay is Tagalog for town or village) in Mandaluyong (a suburb of Manila) I asked a few passersby where I could find some delicious food and they all pointed me to Garahe Burger.
Built out of an actual garage, and with no signage to identify the place, it's about as "hole in the wall" of a restaurant as you can find.

Wow!…The burgers and chocolate shake must be really good, as we barely hear you rate the food 10 out of 10. Canadian bacon is indeed better than any other bacon. There’s nothing more comforting than indulging yourself with scrumptious bacon mushroom and steakhouse burgers. Those burgers are not only pure delight to the taste buds but also satiate cravings as any comfort food can. We will keep that Garahe Burger in mind and we will try their burgers and shake when we get back to the Philippines. Garahe Burger is only about 18 miles away from our home in Quezon City. When I was still living in Mandaluyong 4 years ago I always buy my burgers there. I also love their burritos and their spaghetti. I just don't like the ambiance it's always noisy so I always buy to go. But I'm glad they survived the pandemic and are still flourishing.

Mas ok yung "pa shout out" kuya Kurt. It's ok, do not change that. Mas may connect kasi yun sa tao. Mas light ang dating, yung parang nakikipagharutan ka lang. Mahihiya lang kasi yung iba kapag sinabi mo "i shout out kita". Hindi naman kasi lahat ng Filipino ay gusto ng limelight. Yun lang po. I thank you.

Try RJ's Bulaluhan near Maysilo Circle in Mandaluyong. Its across the Mandaluyong City Hall. Youll have a taste of almost all of the Filipino classic dishes. Plus, its cheap.

Every one amazed about your Tagalog Kurt here in the states especially my Cousin that don’t understand Tagalog but her son serve in the Missionary for more two years in pampanga his Mix Filipino and white when he come back in Utah he speaks Fluent Tagalog 😂😂😂 but my cousin and the Family don’t understand so funny now he served in the US Air Force now, you take care Kuya Kurt.🇵🇭🇺🇸

The whole Family here in the states was amazed for your Tagalog cuz I sent it to them your videos and one of my cousins she lives in Utah too but he don’t speak Tagalog she was born here and married to a white guy from Utah but her son is mix the Filipino and white but he don’t look Filipino he has a light skin blue eyes but when he went to the Philippines for the missionary for than 2 years he learned to speak Tagalog fluent when he came back he speak to my uncle in Tagalog straight 😂😂😂now he serve in the Airforce.

That's the first time I'm seeing a lettuce leaf complimenting a burger sandwich in 'Pinas! A couple of years back, I suggested to restaurant owners they balance their sandwiches with at least a slice of tomato, 'pipino', or lettuce to make it healthy! They could always charge a premium for a wholesome meal! By the way, you make us proud of our culture! I admire your willingness & pursuit of fluency of Tagalog! Don’t ask how long it takes to cook your meal. Let them do there job. If you ask how long it takes, they will rush the cooking and it may be raw or undercooked 😊😅😮don’t bother to ask about, if he/she wants to shout out. Just let them ask you if they can shout out. A lot of Filipinos just want you to be natural. Just relax and enjoy your adventures there in the Philippines 🇵🇭. Yess😊😅😮 I like my burger just simple, burger, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, mayonnaise, ketchup and grilled bun😊why is it so loud music there. I cannot hear your voice. WT?!!!Crinkle fries are the best
