It’s a purpose built drag car. It would have been so much better if the hellcat carried on 2 more years. They could have dropped the 900hp motor in the Redeye platform and just took away the E85 tune. You want the Redeye suspension for the street not a Demon

yeah cause theyre 50 grand overpriced. dodge is making 80K dollars profit on each one of these. if they decided to make 30K profit on each one they would have sold thousands and thousands more, turning in millions more profit for them. i think they didnt want to sell these to be honest.

@N4CR5 yes sir. I'm an investor. My goal was to purchase and have it towed to a storage facility and auction in about 5 years with zero miles. I moved on and invested in a rental property. I'm happy with my hellcat charger for personal use. The 2 doors, for me, isn't practical. I mean, I guess I could still buy it, but I decided to just keep buying rentals. Plus, as a speed freak I doubt I could just let it sit for 5 years and not take it out for a test run, lol.

Their whole plan all along is to outsource all their manufacturing to the third world, and make mini electric vehicles, even though no one wants them. They want to force the US market to be just like the EU market, and the only way for that to happen is to change the laws so you can't buy anything else. It's so dumb.

Just the American car brands. The international business is still super profitable for them.

I concur, CDRJ in America is a failing brand. You still have 2022 Ram trucks and Dodge Challenger's still holding on for that $60,000 idiot to come in and make a deal. They are drunk on a short boom in 2021, and now they can't figure out they are 2 years behind the bubble. No way they survive one more year. I will go on record as saying they will be asking for handouts within the year to keep afloat.

@@Therealclayton I paid $45,500 for my 2021 WB Challenger ($47,300 after TT&L). It had 11k miles, but clean CarFax and is loaded with Plus package, Driver convenience group, Harmon-Kardon, Carbon/Suede package, and NAV. I like the Chargers, but my kids are grown so I really don't need four doors anymore and I really wanted a 6-spd manual. The Charger is definitely the more practical choice if that's what you need...big roomy 4-dr performance sedan. TRX would be cool too!

Huge departure from the insane early prices they were getting and stupid prices they’re still asking. So TK said the msrp was $127k so they netted maybe $13-15k over. Yes it’s profit but barely will cover their insane flooring costs for all the cars they can’t sell right now. They’re screwed since they convinced themselves they’d clear $100k over easily and now maybe $10-20k is where it’s heading.

I don’t know why people thought these last call cars were going to somehow pull the kind of $$$$ vintage HEMI Mopars command… Superbirds, Daytonas, those cars were built in the hundreds of cars- the 08-23 Challengers were built in the MILLIONS!! Chargers built in even larger quantities.. Even the “special” cars were built in several thousands of cars. All the theft that follows these things EVERYWHERE, plus the type of people these cars attract now aren’t going to do these cars values any favors.

I had an R/T, but sold it and bought a widebody Scat Pack to replace it. As much as I love the Scat Pack, I still miss the R/T. It wasn't amazingly fast, but it was a fun, great looking car.

Lve my RT , if I want to go faster at some point I'll go the Procharger route, anyway its a Manual and super Fun as it is minus the RPM Limiter!

That’s because the Boss is a historic name with performance on par with the best track cars. Challenger had that in its history with the T/A but it became an appearance package. Then they could have capitalized off of the Viper ACR success by make the last Challenger a ACR, but instead they just gave big cars more power and called it unique. Lol

@@ocmotivator Thanks for the very quick reply. I was at a cruise-in today and there were three Demon 170's...two were Plum Crazy with the red Demonic interior...very nice. I am being very patient waiting for a dealer who either has too many or a smaller dealer with one or two that he has not been able to sell. What are the chances I can find one for MSRP as you did? Any helpful advice on how to go about the search would be very much appreciated. These dealers are all going to have to sell these at some point at some price to get them off floor plan and each dealer has a different situation to deal with I'm sure. Thanks for your great videos! I saw a video on that car recently. A cop street racer's car and it sold for a million. So few of the new tribute cars. A lot of lucky stars will have to align for you to find a dealer willing to not squeeze all the blood money they can out of it. Good luck.

Narrow body is a much better looking car. I think everyone wants the widebody because it's an "upgrade". To me they look like bolt on fender flares. The standard body is way cleaner looking

Demon 170 was a swing and miss. Yeah they sold but they won't be as collectable as the 2018 one.

Somehow, I think you might be right. The crate, first of its kind, demon logos, and appearance can mean a lot to a collector. Time will tell.

Um. This is why I hate averages and percentages. Averages take into consideration the early insane prices that are long gone and skew the reality. Dealers are begging people to buy these but no one will pay their insane prices and the auction, despite the buyers fee, still only delivered $152,500 and adding 10% still makes it wildly lower than what dealers are still dreaming about getting. And tax and license is not sales price and applicable to any car. Remember NET to Seller is what counts. Not price plus fees etc at an auction.

@@ocmotivator If it was a charity auction the auction houses usually wave their fees or claim too. If so, then whatever charity it was got all that money. But that same deal with regular people would have been bad. Like you said, as little as $135K for the seller and throw another $15K on top in buyer fee so $177,500 cost for a buyer under such a condition? before tax, tags, title? Big money people and their big money problems. lol They have to be big money people to get a full return on a $152,500? charity right off wow. That company that builds old first gen mustang and camaro chassis for individuals to build their own new classics should buy the tooling for the Challengers. Especially the widebody tooling. Install your own crate motor/trans, finish the rolling chassis, interior, paint. Put muscle cars back in enthusiast hands that aren't especially financially gifted. Ah to dream. A youtube used car dealer thinks it is going to get bad since the dealer trade-ins at auction are drying up. He predicts he'll start seeing bank repos aplenty and the unsold overpriced lot rot dropped on the auctions to try and unload them that way. I guess to keep the perceived values high. Heaven forbid they take a public hit and maybe improve their public image by selling things for what consumers would see as really good deals. Oh well, take care man.
