So glad I found this video. Clears up the whole ordeal of them turning on me. The first one I summoned lasted for 15 minutes, and the second one only 5. I need to keep killing. Glad to hear that the undead is not temporary. Will have to try them out. :) Thanks for this video!
Fun fact I’ve noticed is that the shellbacks give way more XP than other enemy types early on; humans hyenas, etc. it’s my go-to enemy to farm for ez XP. Also, followers would definitely benefit from this too ~
I was soo confused when I summoned the horse the first time and after doing base maintenance my other animals just attacked it. I didn't realize they were temporary
It should definitely have a tooltip somewhere indicating that they are temporary. Not a fan of needless ambiguity of game mechanics in any game, personally. A little hourglass ASCII icon with a "10m" next to it would go a long way for clarity.
The demonic summons need to change. I can summon a demon that I have to level and after I get it to 20 with increases XP rates it turns against me and ends up being a decently tough fight. Demons seem to mostly top out just under 7,000 hp and hit decently hard, but you can only have one follow you at a time. Where as you can throw thralls into the grave and make undead that have 8,000-19,000 hp and do okay damage, but you can have three of them all the time regardless of perks and four with a perk, they are permanent and they are automatically L20. If they are gonna have the demonic summons be temporary then they need to be L20 when summoned and the undead need to be leveled, or make the demonic summons permanent or add another spell to make them permanent. They also need to add the big bone guy based on the frost giant that the last corrupted perk lets you randomly summon. That guy is awesome but we can't summon him unless its random and he is as harmful as he is helpful when he knocks you and your other followers down with his aoe. One the mounts all of this applies to them also unless they just make them fixed stats and add them to the to the staff demonic summons next to the bat which would make sense seeing as the bat is a transport as well as the horse and rhino. Also rhino still sucks in combat.
I though the undead were summoned at max level but they only had a set time as they grow weaker over time. At least that is how I understood it from them telling us. But then again I haven't tested sorcery yet. Also wonder if you pick the well trained perk if that also has an effect on those undead or demon followers. As I know on a thrall it has the effect to add +20 to all its stats when it is following you. Also 10 minutes seems a bit on the low side, especially since you have to summon them from a placed altar of a kind which you probably won't just place everywhere in the open. And if you want that summoned demon help for a dungeon that is on the other side of the map you have to fight your way to the entrance or risk them on turning against you before you even arrive at the dungeon. But that isn'tt he only balance issue with the testbuild, so let us hope they figure it out and make it work better then it currently is. The mechanics are fine and I love that you can now have a small army follow you around.
@@TheYdyp Currently the undead are summoned at max level. I was saying they need to switch it where undead have to level because so far they seem permanent and demons are not. You should have to level the permanent one not the temporary one.
so great that summoned demons gains level from kills alone. They can be very op if they get the right perks. Only thing is they're teporary so be careful when you set them on to scout. They could be dead before you know it. but that is ok you can summon one again.
I leveled my steed up to level 20. Got some really good perks that had his health level high. Then for no reason he turned rogue with a health level of only 395 and all my thralls killed him. WTF
But even the mount disappear if you're not fighting? That's a nonsense... I'd ask more fancy raw material to summon them and keep them stable such the skeletons with fragments of power... 🤔
I though the undead were also only temporary, as I understood you summon them at their peak power but they do start losing it over time until they vanished. Haven't played testlive a lot so I haven't unlocked sorcery yet to test it myself though.
So now instead of wasting a good demon I can use as target practice, level them as I see fit for more difficulty. I like the concept of them turning on you, I would coin them as similar to the Zath spider orb, don't last forever put can deal damage, you ever just sit around for 10 mins.. That's more then enough time to aggro or attack anything. Plus i'm fine with leaving a dozen of these outside my neighbors base for shts and giggles haha, the perfect crime.
Can you technically indefinitely keep the demon followers if you're killing? Or is there a maximum time frame. Theyre interesting but not sure I like the concept of a limited time follower. But if theyre very strong i guess it's fine
Why all your mobs leveling so fast? Did you put x10 killing exp? Coz with common setting it's x1 and 1 scorpion gives you something around 11k if I'm not wrong.
If you have war party, and zero followers, can you have 2 demons? And: does the abysmal mounts join in on battle, or just run away from attackers like regular horses
I'm not sure it despawns, I thought that at first but I found they they turn invisible but still exist check your follower manager to be sure. I'm not sure why the zombies turn invisible but if you can point at them you can still see their health bars
are they not affectet by the thrall decay system? what about zombies? i would love to make a proper sorc tower and have an undead guard :I do the undead horse and rino also disaper?
Hi i don't know if this was just patch but it looks like when I have 4 zombies and try to add the demon follower the zombie stop following. Not sure if they just change this
Cool? Yes. Useful? Remains to be seen. The zombies definitely might be. More followers the better and if you brought all that to a raid I can imagine the scale of the chaos
Does it matter if what you kill is "alive" or not? I doubt they would discriminate because it's a videogame, though it would be kind of cool if killing undead, for example, didn't feed their blood lust because no blood.
This is obviously going to change. They aren't going to allow you to have 3 undead following you. That's just OP AF. 1 undead, 1 demon + a thrall with the perk...ok fine.
