“Hey, wouldn’t it be funny if when the player dies, we made it easier for them to die?” To everyone replying to this comment, the game isn’t bad because of the mechanic I joked about. It’s just a bad first impression for everyone who played the original release and didn’t know, and anyone who plays this version without knowing. Not a bad game, just a hassle to understand it.
@@rainetan5384 not really. The Dark souls series is pretty tough, but fair. Demon's souls just does not play by its own rules though, and it's a bit rough sometimes.
Nope. A lot of games have some way to find "cheaser" and punish them. The Witcher 3 did it with the cow farming some years ago. Where Souls fan live? Under a rock?
@@talharehman3664 I made fun of you using your own logic, and that’s your response? Duhhhh low iq? you not clever enough? You’re bad at game and bad at trash talking. Penchod lmaoo
It's more like Armoured Core. There's literal mechanics where both you and enemies can break the game (also in-universe I add) via cybernetic upgrades. For a player this is a boost for when you die, and for enemies it's if you play better and THEY die and become replaced. Really cool Fromsoft story telling.
This blew my mind. Now I really want a super janky game where you can exploit, glitch, cheat, etc; but the game will cheat and exploit just as hard to mess you up.
@@juancampos9468 bosses are pretty easy for the most part. The levels are way, way harder though. Mainly due to there only being 4 bonfires in an entire archstone, and they're typically pretty spread out. So if you die to the boss, or near it then you're literally going through the whole level again, instead of having a pseudo checkpoint like in Dark Souls. Also World tendency can increase the difficulty in Demons pretty quickly.
Demon souls is by far the easiest one. Even with no checkpoints to the levels they themselves are much easier and not big at all, and 90% of the bosses are harder to die to than to 1 shot. Game good af still though.
@@AxxLAfriku They like you because you look like an octopus and girls love that crap, it isn't because of your personality. If we all looked looked Octo-dad we'd all have two hot girlfriends.
"That fine and all.... but that's not an excuse for tresting us like absolute shit while we work you fucking asshole" -miyazaki's team to the kotaku journalist writing their expose about from software's shitty work environment
Allant draining his level to cancel out his glitch is the most poetic thing I've ever seen. Thank you Bluepoint for keeping From Software's vision alive.
People would get high level gear easier with a high SL then use Allant's soul drain to cheese their level really low so they could go invade low level players and grief them though.
Dev: "Miyazaki-san, we need to push the game's release date back, there's a bug that lets players have infinite luck." Miyazaki: "Does it look like it can be fixed soon?" Dev: "We're not sure; we're pouring over the code, but it could be a day, it could be a month." Myazaki: "Leave it in. I have a better idea..."
"If you require additional health in Soul Form, wear the Cling Ring. If you want your health to automatically regenerate, wear the Regenerator Ring. If you wear them both, now you are set." -Sun Tzu's disciple
demons souls is a great example of how game design has evolved over the years. it stands out even more when they don’t bother to fix the bullshit mechanics in the remaster
Has game design really evolved over the years though? Demon's Souls is still way better than many modern games. But I do agree there is some bullshit they should have fixed in the remaster.
What I think is so beautiful about Dunkey's elevator ride back is that he didn't even edit in the Snake Eater theme, because he wanted us, the viewers, to be just as bored and irritated as he surely was.
I thought he was going to do a joke where he looped the video to make the elevator ride look longer. But then he got to the top and there was no joke at all. Well played Dunkey.
@@todddurham5007 that's because MGS's story is told very differently from Souls games' stories. I don't see how a game having no easy mode is a bad thing, especially a game like Dark Souls lmao I said Kojima is a hack mostly because he's an arrogant fuck. He's so full of himself to the point of thinking he created a whole new genre all by himself ("the first Strand type game")
dude..its running on ps5 and still they cant get rid of the fake loading screens. Lmao 'next gen'. (i know it needs to be a bit long to be realistic but its too long)
Dunk, this game is just simple. It’s just dodge and hit. “once you understand that it’s dodge and hit, then you realize that the game aint shit” - tupac
@@ginjadingo2941 When that move hits it only takes one soul level away. Since the cheat he did counted as one level as far as the game is concerned, he lost nearly everything.
"To get to the filthy man store, go past the 3 exploding mine carts, go down the elevator of despair, venture forward through the abandon mineshaft but watch out for pits and the guy that tries to knock your head off with a pickaxe, roll down the side of a cliff, the filthy man can be found blending right in to the dirt, what an excellent business model"- Dunkey a thousand years ago
It's a little-known fact, but if you get him suuuuuuuuuuuuper low on health without killing him, there's a low chance he'll use a special move called VAC Ban which deletes your save file and prevents you from playing the game ever again on that console.
He said he was cheating, but really he just spent some time off-camera practicing his master technique. It's been a while, so he had to shake off the rust.
