After I walked through that fog door into that fetid cave in 2009 and heard the first 4 harpsichord notes I knew this was gonna be another legendary video game banger on the level of Schala's Theme
The first 2 minutes of this video are how I imagine that the remake would have sounded like. A tune full of misery and despair, a raw taste of the reality of the Demon's souls universe, utterly cruel, not the "heroic" thing that we got in the remake.
this deserves more comments. When I played Demons souls and entered this area for the first time, I just stopped in my tracks hearing that painful tune. By the time I had finished the mission and she killed herself saying "take your precious demons souls..." was when I realized what they meant when they said "the true demons souls starts here" This progressive version has a good drum beat which is missing from some covers of other DS sound tracks. It is really quite impressive. Best of all, this entire 12 minutes continues to have a variety of tune changes, so it never got stale for me. especially around 7:20 seconds, this is my kind of dark heavy. Mmmhh
Something I realized with guitar players who make metal covers is the guitar elements are always obnoxiously overbearing when you listen to them. I appreciate this being one of the few that aren't like that, even if it's not being done with real instruments
There's nothing wrong with reinventing a piece of music multiple times within it's own run time. If you stopped listening at that point, you missed an amazing symphonic metal progression.
@@jacksquatt6082 But it's not demon souls anymore . It's one thing if the remix and the songs are similar , but the man did something completely incomprehensible.Maybe the original will feel better than an incomprehensible alteration, which has nothing to do with the original from 2:31?
