Demonetized for "Reused Content" **SOLVED** 

I got demonitized with reused content. I worked my butt off for it. My competitors who make similar videos are monetized. Just doesn’t make sense…

they hit me 4 times in 4 years its the way they keep all the add money for our work. they are scamming thousands of people like this for years out here .

I understand your pain 1000% everything you said happened to me. I had a spike and huge growth in November. Wake up December 7th and I have refused content. Sent an appeal no luck, it's been 2 months now. Now I'm getting the lowest views since I started.

Yes that’s completely ridiculous. Channels are not good to be monetized and yet are good enough for them to make money with ads on that supposed not good videos. Nonsense …

RU-vid hates small creators these days, I'm thinking being montizied on YT just isn't worth it anymore unless you have really really great content, and even then.. they just keep finding ways to not pay us

You just needed screen shots of your programs you use to edit, your voice over and editing process frame by frame on your computer etc. And show your scripts etc. I did a video to appeal and it got accepted in 24 hours. Did you follow the format and mentioned your channel url in the first 30 secs. Maybe you didnt follow the format

I as well I have a good following but I am starting to think this is a scam . Like you said they are still making money off my videos. So I am thinking screw youtube making money and just use them as a push platform to something else.

I'm actually having to deal with being denied for reused content as we speak supposedly I have been reusing content when my content is all filmed by me edited by me sucks I grinded all the way to 13,000 Subscribers was trying to join the RU-vid Partner Program and then they ripped me a new one now I'm having to go through a headache to fix it!! Not being able to talk on the Phone anymore for services is probably one of the following things that NEEDS to come back LMFAO

RU-vid's "reused content" demonetization is a bunch of crap, and their appeal is nonesense and unfair

RU-vid forgot that their whole business model was to give the amateur creator/producer/editor (one man band) a platform to gain a viewing audience.

RU-vid do not even let you know which video or videos got you demonetized. All they say is "Reused Content"

In my channel 100% is original with no stock videos or clips from third parties, everything is created by me and music is from the youtube library or licensed, despite that RU-vid claims I "reused content".

I was demonetise right now too because of "reused content" I didn't know which of my video does but atleast they'll tell mr which one so I could fix it, If I actually made a mistake

Same problem here. I did an appeal video. I even showed them myself filming, myself editing, screen shots of my work, all of it. I also was very careful to either remove, or make sure any copyrighted flagged material was removed from my channel. I'm also a professional video producer, and my channel isn't filled with junk. I was still rejected. I don't believe an actual human watches your appeal. Only bots and AI. I've concluded that the only way is you have to remove almost every last video that isn't yours in any and every way. All compilations. All video done by someone else, even free-license, copyright free, etc. should probably be removed. Sound crazy? It seems the only way. If someone else has another suggestion, I'd like to know. RU-vid moderators, chat, email and such will do nothing to help. They are ordered to not tell you anything more than sending you the same links you can easily find on your own.

Soon as your channel starts getting good views BOOOM.... DEMONETIZED

They rejected me and I appealed and got the same messages you did. I'm also using envato and uploaded all the licenses as required. My niche is meditation and relaxation. They can 'look at the backside of me' too (love that). I'm deleting all my videos now and will upload them with a commentary box of me talking for the first part in attempt to validate the 'creative process' for content creation. How do channels like Fail Army get past this with ONLY reused content of stupid people doing stupid things..?

I feel your pain! Although I'm a brand new channel, not yet monetized, I am feeling sooooo scared now! What if I work hard and get monetized then suddenly get demonetized through no fault of my own? I really miss the days when it was so easy to pick up the phone and talk to a real LIVE person about issues, instead of having to depend on bots....

Thanks for the great, honest video. This has happened to me. It's ridiculous! Or in your words B.S. I can relate to a lot here. I don't think a human being has watched my appeal video. The whole thing is a joke and a money making scheme. You only get 5 mins for the appeal video, do they realise how long it takes to create content? So many hours and effort wasted, I feel like creating a new channel and scrapping everything. Good luck to you and wish you every success. 😊

"Your stuff isn't good enough to be on our platform, we realize we content ID all your videos, so you make pennies on the dollar, and now we're making sure you make zero dollars, but what we're going to do, is keep your content on our platform, your edits, we're going to monetize them and cease payment of the pitiful amount we were providing for the edit. You're edits are worth zero, that's why we'll not let you monetize them. We'll profit off your poor edits, but you get nothing." My case is much sketchier than others, but I don't think they realize, it is work, there is 5-10 hours PER DAY. Don't underplay making intros and thumbnails either. Those take work too. It's only the person who has never edited content that will claim that no work was done. I'm fine with content ID claiming my videos. Great...but if you cut me out of the monetization process, I'm not uploading content for you to profit from while I only ever incur debt. How did you resolve your issue? It would seem to me that yours was a genuine mistake, whereas mine can be up for debate. From my POV, if you aren't willing to pay me 1 to 5 hours of monetization before the content ID hits, you have no business allowing the content to stay up, and it should be a strike. As it is, the copyright holder actually allows content to be used on YT. So...IDK.

How could they cut you off from search engines? A lot of channels without monetization have been denied several times and yet they have not been cut off from search engines.

I'm pretty much on the same part, except I'm trying to get monetized in the first place. I specialise in Japanese videogame content, but get littered with claims of re-used content despite recording all of my footage myself

Just woke up today Monday morning August 7th 2023, and checking my studio app, I can't find the monetization section. I can't see earnings. I refreshed the app and checked but nothing. Then something ringed on my mind to quickly check my email and behold, on checking, the email says I have been demonized. I launched studio to check why and it says reused content. That's on my other channel. Not this. I suspect it relates to some of my videos appearing on the two channels. And yes, my main channel began having a spike in the last few weeks, more views, more revenue. Just when I am having a spike in views, growth and revenue, they demonized me 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️. But the channel I have which is normal, not too much of a spike but monetized, they didn't bother about that. They will monitor you when you start getting too much growth.

It happen to me aswell😂 3 times they are saying reused content…All content is mine i only had once songs from a payed website(music for creators).Apart that all content 100% created by me.I end up deleting 90% of my videos because i got mad and now need to start all over with the hours only got left 270h from 8k😂.So is not a easy journey because lack of comunication from RU-vid end.

I am going through this right now. It is so frustrating, just when I thought I was going to get my first payment they demonitized me.

I'm trying to get monetized and just realized some of my videos are not complying with policy. Whats the best way to fix that? Re-upload the same videos, but correctly complying, then delete the old ones? Or just moving forward make sure all comply and don't delete? Whats the best way?

theyve done this to me for over a year went hard on shorts and went from 3k to 10kand they started messing up that too. I hate that we get no customer service

Just got my first viral video and two weeks later, Boom.....Demonetized.

You don't get reused content just for reusing clips. Looking at your channel, there is no theme in it, its a bunch of videos about everything and your thumbnails aren't any different from eachother for a user do tell what the difference between the videos. These are some of the things why RU-vid may have hit you with Reused content. It's not just about reusing clips, I know it may sound wierd but that how RU-vid works, and those video appeals never work. Make these few changes specially to yor thumbnails, then reapply. I hope this helps

Dude so many have hit the u tube wall . you can't fight the wall. You have to make multiple channels so many creators are diversifying sources goto Rumble etc.

0:22 95% of the content is original, aka ( 5% is not problem solved its not the stock footage and your own video start shows you ain't being truthful with yourself or you'd of said 100% took you till have way through the video to now say its 100% so is it 95% or 100% ....) lastly if you are asked to prove copyright ownership you have to prove it or people would just steal content and they want to see you working on a project and licensing documents simple provide that and youtube will whitelist you then in future (and yes come on really they want a screen recording of you editing its now hard to click record you dimb wit but then you make videos about moving to china so not supprised not the smartest bird in the nest are you

I really want to improve my videos. They're pretty crappy but I dont have enough subscribers anyway. I want yo get abetter phone an a laptop. The i can download an app to edit and improved the overall quality of my videos i may even make some art montages!! LOL any app you can recommend will be useful! I've subcribed, so enjoy Europ. The appeal process is wild. They want you to make a video showing how you make videos, and talk to them about why you think you deserve another shot all in four minutes and 30 seconds.

Just happened to me a few hours ago! I've made the video and appealed, but have to wait up to 14 days. Really frustrating. None of my content is reused, it's all recorded, edited and uploaded by me. Each video is unique in it's own way, no two are the same. I've also never used other creators content in my videos either, with the exception of a few AUDIO clips in ONE of my videos. Other than that, none of my 2500+ videos contain ANY reused content.

i got 30 days to reapply so is it necessary to delete reused videos earlier i mean can i delete them later like after 28 days so that i get some more subscribers if i delete them later not earlier

I had a spike since last week my channel just starting to get more views, viewers even share my content which never happened before not just get demonetize for reused content.

Is there a RULE for what’s considered “lazy”? Are there stipulations for how hard you must work? It’s odd how they’re demonetizing people when their #s spike! Just in time for them to swoop in and get the $!

same problem here, just got demonetised cause of reused content when my channel features original content only. i had a spike of views and was making decent money, they took it all away and the support chat line is totally useless

I was demonetized on one channel and did a simple video appeal and got my monetization back within days. I got demonetized this channel and did the same type of appeal video and got rejected because they said I only described a small portjon of my videos and they werent representative of my entire channel. I feel they didnt look at my channel. 95% of my channel is my and friends giving opinions of the New York Knicks. The videos are really high quality and we give commentary to any highlights. Its really frustrating.

Reused content is content that you buy on stock cites like adobe stock, shutterstock...etc. That is exactly what you are doing. I don't get your explanations. You are describing what not to do. Create your own content and that's it. Buying videos is not the way

sorry bro for your pain especially if that was your only income sorry , first of all start an new on , personally i only two or tree i was rejected for monetization for the first account wich i made too many mistake i used people content , but i still working on second one is clean i do every myself dont trust even buying music i go to studio make my own song and track i pay i shoot things on my camera myself from first experience just start over if you like your job

It's really confusing 😕 When i used another channel content with 100% edit they accepted it But I deleted everything cz the content creator asked me to delete it even i worked hard for it cz they didn't edited it So I made my own content with better editing and better in everything But they said reused content i really don't know what's the problem...i don't have copyright claim or any content used from another channel or another app! Maybe bcz i post it in another channel to check if it's copyrighted?(cz something i add some music to it but 2%)

Another funny thing too, since I got nixed yesterday, a couple of my videos have picked up steam that my channel hasn't seen in weeks.

The policy states that content creators cannot upload videos or images that they do not own or have permission to use. "This includes footage or images that are offered on other websites for a fee or for free". The policy also specifies that videos or images that are reused without adding "significant original content or value" are not allowed. This means that content creators must add their own original commentary, editing, or other creative input to videos or images that they use from other sources.

So that means reused content is not allowed
