It‘s rather unfair to limit to and underline in your intro that the pedal is designed for a post-hardcore band (what‘s wrong with post-hardcore anyway?). Touché Amoré‘s sound is pretty different from the standard hardcore rig. They have played all Fender guitars and Fender/Mesa amps since the beginning and their tone is sprinkled with chorus, delay, reverb, phaser and tremolo and overall rather medium gain. You could have presented the band a bit more in the intro and talked just a tiny bit about their rigs to put the pedal into perspective of their sound. Long time fan of TA and your channel so I‘m just trying to give feedback here :) Glad you like TA‘s music. Keep doing what you do!
The pedal sounds good, so is your creative playing and tracks. The pedal has got some humph and that's without the boost on. I think that the boost when too high pushes the amp into that broken up grainy over pushed amp sound and looses some of it's great overtones, harmonics and dynamics. I think keeping the boost on a lower setting is better with this pedal from what I heard in the later part of your demo.
You like it better than any other breaker style OD?!?! That is some high praise man! And I’m always searching for “the best” BB pedal! Could you shed some light on that assessment? Is the Limelight more KOT or Snouse in nature? Or is it more akin to the Morning Glory, Foxcatcher, or Browne Protein blue side? The latter three have more chime and sparkle to my ears than other Breaker styles I’ve played or owned.
It is his own thing lol 😂 nothing like protein or the morning glory. I’ve never played a KOT or snouse so can’t say. But it’s got more headroom than a protein for sure and more gain on tap
