Perhaps the most significant era in monster trucks has officially come to an end, as the two most iconic and important drivers in Monster Jam history, Dennis Anderson and Tom Meents, have now both retired from competition, never to make their return. While both of their careers sadly ended prematurely and abruptly, in a way it's only fitting that two greatest rivals in this sport's history both went out having fallen on their swords, retaining their honor and integrity.
It's the end of an era for monster trucks, as their individual impacts on the sport will never be matched, but the legacies will live on forever. The perfect yin and yang can now both ride off into the sunset together, with everyone else continuing to follow in their wake from here on out. Nobody did it better.
