Comes down to this, you know you live through it and maybe go to jail. Depending on where you live. Or don't protect yourself and let them do what they have come to do. And it's human to want to live to protect yourself and your family.
Texan here. Sure do appreciate the 2nd amendment. Now you know. When they DON'T mention the "color" of the suspect, 99.9% of the time they're black, sometimes even Hispanic or Latino. And if they happen to be "illegal" shame on you for calling them that.
If the suspect who was shot issues a complaint then the home owner should be charged. I wonder how many people will jump my case thinking I didn't pay attention and know the perp was killed?
Why is there any investigation? The home owner was protecting themself and their property. Open and closed case, saved the taxpayers a ton of money, and perp will not do anything like that again.
@@blackcherry6877same here!!! I can be polite and professional as possible but if it goes against the narrative it's removed. Yet on those same videos and comment threads OTHER people can cuss and even THREATEN me, but THEIR comments are allowed to stay up.... 🤔
Better question, how much is gonna cost this poor guy when he has to defend himself if they find this unjustifiable for some reason? His house? His retirement?
That's what I said, I can't believe the dept is even sending it up to the prosecutor. Our justice system has become a total JOKE including those who serve. Its all a big effin JOKE anymore. He states call us so we can respond and we will, what a joke yep Ill wait for them to save my life NOT!
No. The homeowner exercised their 2nd amendment right when they obtained a firearm. Self-defense is a state law that creates a legal process used in a court proceeding.
As is always the case, there is not enough time for the Police to travel there, before one needs to take action for self protection. Lucky they have Castle Doctrine written into law, which ought to be National by the way !!
The person in the apartment was already assaulted by the intruder. How many victims does there need to be before you just say the homeowner was justified in defending themselves? At some point the law needs to support the victims rights over the criminals! They might be surprised to see how many crimes are not committed due to criminals not feeling safe in committing crimes!
"Stay in your house / stay in a safe place until help can get to you..." is automatic, baked-in, boilerplate, first-responder lingo. He would've liked to say " _Pray you're in a State with Castle Doctrine laws, and you've put some time in at the range with that metal piece of incident-mitigation technology you've got in your house that was created exactly for moments like this._ "
It sounded like the drunk guy entered the guest house, assaulted the tenant and was trying to get into the main house when he was shot. So the officer was correct in his recomendation to stay inside the house, locked. It means the person has to make the decision to commit a felony in order to enter and it gives you the advantage of hiding, calling someone, arming yourself, looking at cameras, etc... if you're outside you are an easy target , you don't know who else is out there,
Yeah you get in trouble if you shoot somebody outside of your home!. That's why it's called the castle doctrine!. You have to be inside your castle!. Except for States like florida! Thank God
Just call us and stay in your house?! WTF. He should be praising and thanking the homeowner for protecting their family, not to mention telling every other would be home invader to pay attention because this could be you.
Well the US isnt much better, the f*ckd up thing about the US with cases like this is the homeowner probably wont be charged but then the criminals family will win a civil suit for wrongful death and the homeowner will lose everything to them smfh...
they'll respond yes. that is their job to respond to calls. their job is NOT to protect you or your family. Don't think for one minute that is a cops job. It simply is not.
Homeowner better not get charged , he was protecting family , I would do same thing, I'm a man and provider for my family , I do whatever means necessary to protect family and myself 👍 for homeowner protecting his family and home 👍😊🇺🇸
I'm wondering if he was legit white, since they made a point to say it. Because lately where I live everyone arrested is labelled as white, including Middle Easterners and Latinos, unless they're black or "Pacific Islander". Our sheriff's department posts the photos (clearly brown folks) and names so you can clearly SEE they're not white. No one would describe them as white. But for statistics purposes they put them all in the white category and it's bs. This has been going on
How do you figure that? Because she happens to be in a report as shooting an intruder. Handful of both male and female reported in defending themselves from would be assailents and criminals.
@broeheemed32 The last time I called police, they laughed and hung up on me. I called back and they transferred my call, then hung up in me again. Will never rely on them for anything again
@gilldavidmour4199 I reported a guy who openly admitted to torturing and k@lling 18 dogs on his property for fun and also running a dog fighting ring. Another time I reported a guy who robbed me at a gas station - nothing. Also when I was in high school, 5 people with weapons were kicking my door down and picking my lock - all possessesd illegal weapons, but only 1 was jailed and only for 1 night, then threatened to arrest my friends for asking why. Police are useless.
Squatting implies a long period of time. Vagrants are not always squatters. Not that either should have much protection. But some of these cases are just rental dispites.
Did the sheriff seriously refer to the individual as an “Unwanted Person”? No he’s someone that forced into one residence and assaulted someone then forced their way into another residence where he was rightfully put down by someone from that residence
It is a written rule in the media that you can only mention the white perpetrator. If there is no description of the perpetrator, you can assume the race. It's racist if the media mention it.
Because the Divide-and-Conquer, polarization-engagement algorithms of our Current Cognition-Control Cartels, in their not-so-covert manipulation of mankind, and especially on 'social' media, have reached a slow boil where you/I/others notice descriptors like that, and key off of them. Instead of an actually more tolerant time of the past ( _versus the fake, virtue-signaled variety we're in_ ) where department policy to give general descriptions of an alleged perp wouldn't have even been noticed by most. *THAT'S* why you noticed it. ;) Cheers.
The Police are minutes away due to no fault of their own when seconds count. Sooooooo "Can I? should I? Must I? (shoot a deadly threat) These are the three things one must ask oneself in 250 milliseconds. I hope this goes no further than the prosecutor, "reviewing" the case just to give it the appearance that he/she is investigating whether the home owner was in the right using deadly force when EVERYONE knows your home is your castle and everyone may defend it with deadly force if One is breaking in because the act of breaking in is deadly intent under all interpretations.
Prosecutors are dirty.. the stories I’ve heard would shock you. They treat cases like this: “should I not charge, or should I charge, that is the question… how am I feeling today.. maybe.. maybe not.. oh, I did a little research and don’t like this person, I’m going to charge them.” I heard of a story where a man was charged for indecent exposure-because a person accidentally saw something, it wasn’t intentional. The prosecutors office looked at the case and decided there wasn’t any evidence, so they moved passed it until they found out who the guy was. Turns out, the prosecutors office did a little digging and only charged him because of a false complaint he had 20+ years ago. This is just to show you how dirty they are, they don’t care about justice, they want to make a name for themselves.
Couldn't have turned out better ,you break into someone's home and threaten there lives, then you get deleted, unfortunately you try to lock yourself in call police 🚔 the criminals break the door in and delete you before police arrive.
Home invasions happen very quickly and often while the victim is the most vulnerable. Having you gun locked up in a safe--as the gun control gang demands--could cost you and your family their life.
Lol what? Suspect is the dead guy. He was the Suspect in this crime. The Victim is the one still living. They aren't SUSPECTING anyone else. its just the words they use.
The homeowner should not be charged. The police were not present to handle the situation, Like always, they showed up after the crime was committed. I hate it when the media talks with law enforcement officers who most likely don't care about anyone but themselves
So the race of the citizen is relevant but the race of the criminal isn’t? That seems a tad bit racist. Oh well… it’s nice to hear a story on the news with a happy ending for a change
I can't really blame the homeowner from wanting to protect their loved ones from someone under the influence of drugs or alcohol. But I can't help noticing how they mentioned the skin color of the invader in THIS case. VERY peculiar. 🤨🤔
Here's what's wrong with this.. "An unwanted person."? Are there afraid to call him a criminal? The person has the right to defend their property but the police aren't sure if the Castle Law will apply? Why, because the guy only assaulted her and did rob her? Let's show the house where it happened but let's not release the name of the person who committed the crime or where they live? And yeah, what did the color of the criminal have to do with it?
Good to see the news still knows how to describe a white suspect. Maybe they can keep utilizing that journalistic skill when it's a black suspect. LOL. Just kidding, they can't.
Situations like this are over in far less time than cops can get to your location to defend you and stop this. By then it's too late. I believe this is going to get worse before it gets better. Don't go out looking for trouble but defend yourself and family by any means necessary.
Pro tip: if theres an old truck in the driveway, dont even think about it. That man works hard. Hes tired, sore and mean. Hes foing to protect whats his with zero regard for himself.
If she gets charged, then I have no hope for Society This will have been the second person at least in recent year have been punished for defending themselves on their own property which means no one is safe
