The amount of respect as a baseball fan that I have for this man is hard to describe. He embodied the class and essence of baseball. Lucky to have witnessed Derek Jeter in my lifetime.
Derek Jeter is the Tom Brady of baseball. Wins championships, team leader, humble and kind, never gives up until it's over, and most importantly, keeps his nose clean. I'm a die heart Red Sox fan, and A huge Yankee hater. But there is really one player on the Yankees I've always liked, and that's the captain Derek Jeter.
@MANCHESTER UNITED how bout u manc twats go burn some more cell towers 😂😂😂to stop corona virus....(look it up in news..if this is months yrs after corona virus go look..the manc twats actually believe someone was sending virus thru phone towers n burnt them and tried to beat n rape techs on street real sick folks n hes got anything to say sad)
@@emoneyg33 WTF. Are you a f..king lunatic, spewing your shit. This is about Jeter, not about your rantings that you picked up from Qanon or Mother Jones or more likely, National Enquirer. Better throw on another layer of aluminum foil & stfu, troll.
I hate the Yankees as much as anyone but I literally cannot find a reason to hate this guy. Also, it's literal life goals to be revered for your character while also being the biggest playboy in NY
It’s funny you say that because I’m a Yankees fans and of course Derek Jeter was always my favorite but my second favorite player of all time based off skill and how he played the game was Dustin Pedroia. Hated him when they played each other but hated it when he retired from the game!
I was there for many of jeters moments but my kost memorable was when I was there when he crushed hit #3000. Was sitting very close to where it landed. Still get chills thinking about the roof blowing off when he hit it. Im a mets fan at heart but have love for the yanks. Really enjoyed watching derek play throughout his career. Got to see it all too.
Great video as usual! I know there isn't a lot of newer video, but man cal ripkin jr was a stud also! (glad i got to see him against my mariners in the 90's...)
Growing up, all I wanted to do was play baseball and watch Derek Jeter play. I cried five times. His first ring, his 3000th hit, his hit to pass Lou Gehrig on the Yankees hit list, his walk off on his last yankee stadium game, and his last hit. When they said that Derek Jeter was done with baseball, I didn’t just cry, I bawled. Really loud. It was embarrassing. I couldn’t help it though. I felt like I was losing my best friend. He was the most amazing and unbelievable player to ever watch. Everything he did was breathtaking. He is the best ever.
I'm born & raised in Boston. So of course, you're conditioned to be a Yankee hater (which I do). As when you're born in N.Y., you're conditioned to be a Red Sox hater. It's a really cool rivalry to be a part of. Saying that...it sucks, because Jeter is the only Yankee I've ever liked. The guy just seems like good people is all. Plus, fine...I guess he was an ok player. ;) So seeing him get a Joseph Vincent video is well deserved imo. Jeter, you played a good game, as a good guy. I'm glad you're gone. :D
Jeters flip play in 2001 ALDS against Oakland is the greatest defensive play in the history of baseball. I think because he played for the Yankees people overlook just how truly, truly great he was. Even as a life long Red Sox fan, he's still one of my top 5 all time favorite players and no question an ALL TIME great.
Yo extend this, you missed out so many moments this one was lazy I watch ur videos all the time they all inspire me!!! Thanks 😊 🙏 but make this documentary longer like 35 minutes to really capture his career
Deeeerrick Jeeeter, clap clap clap clap clap Deeeeerick Jeeeter…..from RI been a yankees fan since 1977 when I was seven remember seeing the first 2 home runs Reggie hit before I fell asleep been a fan ever since…Jeter, Mattingly, Reggie, Bernie, and Mariano my top 5 all time ….been fortunate enough to see the Yankees many times….live in SWFL now so I can only see them at Jet Blue during spring training against the Sux or go up to that crap stadium in Tampa……lol Derek was and is the embodiment of how the game should be played…
It's one thing to be a Yankee fan and love Jeter but even greater than that is to look in the comment section of any video and see arch rivals show their respect. Greatest player of our generation by far. A true gentlemen. The best. The Captain.
First, your videos are an excellent, first-rate experience, so please keep them coming; Second, if you find the time, could you highlight Chipper Jones and/or Hank Aaron, maybe an Atlanta Braves edition, just more baseball please
Clayton Kershaw Mike Trout Corey Seager Giancarlo Stanton Bryce Harper David Ortiz Can you do these players next Joe?? Or maybe do a Greatest MLB highlight reel like you’ve done for NBA and NFL!
I don’t even like baseball but this guys aura was something of greatness. I’ve never heard anyone talk bad about Derek Jeter. Atleast, not anyone worth listening to.
