Yep! I'm fairly certain Reflections intended to feature him again in DD2, but abandoned that idea and just gave the palette to the Amateur #01 instead. Edit: Also, don't you find the palette of the Rookie #01 awfully similar to The Doctor's #99?

Yeah you're right, it's that same white colour with red stripe! (never noticed that tbh) Something that probably should be mentioned in his article on DD wiki!

For me: Rookie = The doctor Amateur= Crunch Brunch Pro= The Taxman I always thought that the character "The Pro", is the pilot that we play in the first opus, the color of his car and the outfit looks a lot like the rookie car of destruction derby 1, even his jumpsuit.

Yeah its really weird the cars almost all had different colors in the demos and even the pictures on the box I think, but in game they were all yellow/white/red/grey. Not sure what happened there...

​​@@CalgarGTXon the demo, I find some elements better than the final version, for example: -the sound quality of crash or engine noises is superior to the final game. - the car is faster. -You can get points if you crash an overturned car, which is impossible in the final version of the game. -When we lose the trunk of the car, we see that it is not the same, because the final version we just see a black background. - the taillights stay on constantly in the demo, the final version the lights are off, but come on if you press the brake button. The pilot of the first opus, crunch bunch, appears on the image of the demo, but in the final game, this character disappears, but one can play his car (white and purple) which is the amateur difficulty car. -the demo has more clipping than the final version.
