@@mentaljasonhave the UK courts not ruled on this yet? In the US the Supreme Court ruled years ago that just being in an area of high crime was not enough for the police to detained somebody.
@librab103 - it's in statute law and case law. All officers and staff are supposed to be trained in the contents of two memos that were issued by the group of top police officers, used to be called ACPO now NPCC.
really... so another police officer could detain him for any reason at anytime... really... to be fair I saw two CID officers fighting once over an arrest... 👍
@@ianmurphy5975 To be blunt US satirist auditor Too Apree has been asked that question dozens of times by cops in the years he's been doing exactly the same thing... Going fishing, camera as bait, then reeling the idiots in Dare I say Reggie was inspired by Too Apree? (imitation the greatest form of flattery) Mind you it also wouldn't surprise if Reggie, being the very clever & great wag he is, came up with the idea independently of Too Apree - the old 'great minds think alike' theory Love Reggie!!!
Back pedalling Tyrant trying to wriggle out of an unlawful detainment without carrying out an investigation or having reasonable grounds expecting to find stolen or prohibited articles, OTHER THAN A CAMERA!
Has he done them before has he? I hope Reggie sues the pants off him personally and pushes for a private prosecution. I did like that he didn't proceed with the search once he realised he was a bell end.
That fishing rod came in handy.....Reggie reeled in a huge whopper and at least three minnows as well! What a great fisherman Reg is! These cops were well fishy🤣🤣
Any member of the public? You mean grown men strapped with cameras and external microphones filming a police station and behaving like a creepy weirdo? It's as if by hanging around a police station and drawing attention to himself, that he WANTS to get stopped, and searched???? Perhaps, just perhaps, if he didn't want any involvement with the police he didn't need to leave his house and bait the police into an interaction?
No they don't they need evidence for a suspicion. Not that you are acting suspiciously. That's not the same thing . They see you on camera with a long thin item ,that is evidence of a suspected prohibited item , not that you have one but you now have a suspicion. You see someone jumping up and down outside a police station and hiding behind a wall , that is not a suspicion of a crime ,even though you may think they are acting strange and suspiciously, you have no suspicion they are or have been involved in a crime . Acting suspiciously is not enough to stop and search someone it must be led by evidence like descriptions or to investigate something you have that may be involved in crime , again though you must have evidence of an item not suspicion you may have an item because you are looking in a car .
3:03 - “Section 1 of Pace Stop Search”. Clear as day 3:13 - “Can I just ask why you are taking PHOTOS of Police cars and private vehicles” 3:48 - Clearly recites what a Stop Search is. 4:00 - FILMING is mentioned. Then notice how many times he looks at Reggie’s Go Pro. Then watch how the mood AND the search slowly morphs into a Stop and Account.
@davestone2939 Wrong. For a section 1 PACE stop and search he needs to reasonable suspect that prohibited articles would be found. Not simply that he suspects he was doing something illegal. If he reasonably suspects he was doing something illegal he has the option of arrest.
@@Stuart_George Exactly ! ! ! He did suspect that due to Reggie’s strange behaviour he was up to no good. Which in turns leads him to believe Reggie may be carrying items he shouldn’t be. Why is that so hard for you to understand. One suspicion will automatically lead into the other.
Totally agree My FiL was disabled (polio) he loved his mobility scooter as it gave him such freedom. these bell ends do nothing for the public and really don't care.
@kevinwest942 no idea I'm sure that any constable can for no legitimate reason dettain people in public areas then lie about them being detained. This idiot believes he can lie and get away with it due to him being police
"Your being straight with me so I will lie through my teeth" is more like it, NO RAS of any crime but detained anyway. It might well be a "private road" (Which I doubt) but it looks like a public footpath maintained by the highways department otherwise known as a pavement, obstruction of which is an offence.
The sergeant is a bell end! What is a fishing rod? There are private vehicles on site ‘so he wants special treatment for police officers’. He needs to go back cop school as he clearly is way out of his depth.
He is the kind of sergeant that thinks lawful members of the public works for him. And if he had any intelligence or education, he would not be in the police. He also likes the sound of his own voice 🙄
"you don't often see people filming private things" 99.99999999999% of photos have private items in the photo!!!! you would have to put your phone under the dirt to not catch private items in the photo
Sgt Plod should have made sure he had the right paperwork with him before he detained you imo. This was top police work! Thank goodness you were only looking for a pond.
First off, you cannot be detained and are free to go at the same time that’s a lot of BS then “What’s the fishing rod for”? I can see why he might be considering a move to detective with keen deductive reasoning like that.😊
"I can detain any person for any reason." And there you have it, the pure arrogance of the police in a nutshell. An admission, on camera, that they can do what the hell they like, whenever they like, because they CAN, not because they need to...
Reggie has been knocking it out the park with his videos lately. 👍👍👍👍👍👍 For this video we have another easy peasy claim for compensation. He had no REASONABLE grounds whatsoever for a Section 1 search. He had no reasonable grounds on which to stop and detain Reggie at the start of the interaction.
They’ve really hit rock bottom now, a police sgt that doesn’t even know what a fishing rod is for. No wonder he abuses section 1 of pace, the way he also prattles on and on he hasn’t got a clue what day it is never mind the actual law.
0:23 Remember when at school when the kids would get teased, we would tell them just to ignore but couldn’t. Put them all together and *there we have it*
I'm pretty sure they have ruled on this before. I'm pretty sure also they said "filming or taking photos alone is not enough to raise suspicion" I would look into it personally
He is feeling a fool now. Useless cop get every car number, that’s all they are worried about, don’t care about our cars getting stolen. Aww raging at him and the rest. Great audit Reggie don’t let the other audits down claim in👍
Please tell me this is a comedy sketch, the way the Cop is acting is so silly it must be a wind up.If this is real then questions should be asked about the sanity of any of the police involved.
Is that even legal . . ."you're detained if you want the record [of the stop and account]" ? He appears to be attaching a punitive element to asking for records, basically if you want a record of this you are going to be detained ! I'd add that to any civil claim you might want to make, being threatened with further detainment for asking for a record.
🤣🤣 That clueless cop was totally reeled in, all you need now is a Keep Net to store all of the ones you have reeled in previously. 🤣🤣 Love the fact that you searched yourself and the cop didn't need to touch you during his illegal Section 1 of PACE search and detainment. Well done Reggie.
He's dropped a Pollock here, his Dory doesn't add up, Eel looked Koi when ya sue him, he's also Skating on thin ice, looks like you've caught a Clownfish for sure, but he did change his Tuna in the end 👍
