He wasnt really serious if you look at how he teased and joked in the first half, the whole serious and rage thing only really happened after it got personal later on.
This exactly why I hate when fans say DMC2 wasn't cool and charismatic... What, you mean like DMC1? It wasn't until the 3rd game their image of Dante ever existed. The projection bias is so annoying
Honestly, my favorite thing about DMC5 is how they took all the things people disliked from the reboot and reworked them into something new. People weren't crazy about reboot Dante having short hair, a hooded coat, and a smoking habit. So they gave the short hair to Nero (which makes him feel more like his own character imo instead of just an off-brand Dante clone), gave Nero the hooded jacket, and gave the smoking habit to Nico. People didn't like the edgy emo Dante in the reboot, so they took that idea and turned it into V. Capcom definitely showed that they were into the ideas Ninja Theory brought but knew they could do them better .
is good we have one mor player in the game but i hate that how he fight is stupid i just stay in one pleace and just press tow bottons and thats all thats stupid if he fight with nero and dante will be more good i think but the game is cool i play her today and almost finsh it her im now on the level 10 or 11 i think bc i finish my games with nero and v now i will have first game with dante and for that bc i try v i know he stupid in fights i not like that
Lady needs more screen time in this game 🔥 I really liked how she shows care for Nero since she was in the same situation where she had to deal with her father This game has so much parental issues that lay out the story
...Yeah, I'd actually like that to be honest. With the idea platinum is struggling with the Bayonetta 3 construction, I'd love itsuno and kamiya to team up in between
The year is 2019: Capcom has published 2 major complete single player experiences, and Bioware has launched a broken, unfinished multiplayer game What a mad world we live in.
@@generictimestamperstupendi9021 Honestly had bioware put more patches to smoothen Andromeda even after it's launch and not abandon it in favour of Anthem then it could potentially do a comeback like No man's Sky did. Sadly it didn't.
one thing that really sets you apart from other reviewers is that I can really tell how excited and happy your favorite games make you. hearing the smile while you talk about your favorite things is great hehe
This. This is what sets the best gaming youtubers from the rest. There are some fantastic channels out there I watch all the time but just because they're great does not mean the channels with true passion for what they're talking about can be elevated above all others
that said, the female characters nudity was kinda shameless and stereotypical japanese peversion. It's also a shame they litterally did nothing the entire game (aside from nico who helps a lot) but they are all support roles. However it seems like the game is hinting towards a DLC or a new game where the 3 female charcters get their time to shine
@@wile123456 I sort of agree. I wasn't bothered my the brief nudity at all. However, I was disappointed that Lady and Trush didn't do much. All the badass moments with Lady in DMC3 were fucking great, and I wanted to see more scenes like that with the two girls. However, it isn't a huge thing, and we could get some more for/with them down the line.
This brought a tear to my eye 2 years later after I’ve already beat the game so many times. I love devil may cry. It’s been in my life for as long as I can remember.
Don't forget the novels. They even bring back bits of the novels. That's where Nico's grandmother is from. And she was so cool, so having her be in the middle of canon was awesome. She was like Dante's mom/grandma, so Nico saying she's her granddaughter, Dante doesn't say anything, but his expression while looking down at Ebony and Ivory said everything. It's like finding out you have another member of your own family.
The game is still about 12 hours long. And level design is very outdated, full of invisible walls. And the ending has a shitty cliffhanger even worse than the one in DMC2.
@@LionofDawn The longest a normal playthrough has ever been in the series to date is eight hours if you're mediocre at the game. Twelve hours isn't a negative especially in a game where you're expected to play it on every difficulty for the full experience. Invisible walls aren't a problem considering that in a game where you're supposed to have linear progression, there's only so much you can do in a city environment. Also if it did leave on a cliffhanger ending, it'd probably more likely be to set up Nero's future story as he's supposed to be the protagonist from here on. But considering I've yet to play the game for myself, I can't say quite yet.
LionofDawn 12 hours is good for a non-open world, linear game. Also,it has alot of replayabilty and Bloody Palace is coming. GoW had a shitty cliffhanger with Thor, you didn't complain then. You're just looking for a reason to hate the game.
Mata Mota still no need to mention it, sphere hunter has refrained from spoiling anything, and it’d be nice if those commenting on her video did the same.
me starting the game: let's be honest, it's devil may cry, it might not be that good. Still worth a shot me by the end of the game: *FRUSTRATION IS GETTING BIGGER, BANG BANG BANG, PULL MY DEVIL TRIGGER*
I AM THE STORM THAT IS APPROACHING. PROVOKING, BLACK CLOUDS IN ISOLATION. I AM RECLAINER OF MY NAME. BORN IN FLAMES, I HAVE BEEN BLESSED. MY FAMILY CREST IS A DEMON OF DEATH!
I agree that Lady is an amazing character. Not only for her looks, but her whole story kinda resonated with me. Not gonna go into detail, but her strength helped me realize that I'm not held down by genetics. Her story gave me the strength I needed when I was younger. Anyways, love the video and your cosplay. Made a sub outta me.
Interesting that the Death Scissors in this Don’t look like the enemy of the same name from DMC1. Also “The Devil Hunter Nero” or “The Legendary Devil Hunter Dante”... poor Nero.
I just binge watched almost all of your DMC videos, and it's been incredibly endearing. I love these characters for the same reasons you specify. It's just such a fun series of games and a fun group of characters! And Dante's dance in DMC 5 is just...glorious.
I swear to God, I cried my eyes out at the announcement of DMC 5. I mean, I was sure that the license was definitely dead with the reboot (or worse, that we would get a DmC 2) and that the Dante I had grown up with, the Dante I loved, the red jacket and white-haired Dante, the real Dante, would never come back. And it was killing me to think that I would never see that character I loved so much again in a new game. And that's when they announced DMC 5. With the Dante I grew up with, the Dante I loved. With the Dante with the red jacket and the white hair. With THE Dante. And I cried because I hadn't waited 10 years for nothing. He's back.
The thing about the faces is that we’re just used to the “anime” looking faces from dmc 1-4. Once you play the game for like 30 minutes you get used to the realistic faces
i think this is what i loved most about dmc5. That anime faces thing has been done to death imo and sincerely boring now. While dante & nero look very western, vergil & v have this sort of middle east or even south east asian look which i really appreciated. More like this plz.
I really wish Balrog was an actual fight in game and you didn’t just start with it, at least it’s in the prequel novel from what I’ve heard. It’s also really cool that it counts the hits
What I love most about this title is the fact that it celebrates the franchise by implementing so many things every prior title had into this one. Whether they be characters, weapons, enemy types and even visual cues (those enemy names when a new enemy type appears) from the “reboot” of all things, Itsuno put them in with a lot of care and passion. It’s definitely worth the wait for me.
I can easily see her announcing gameplay mechanics in a ROCKSTAR reveal video. She's definitely got a professional consistent quality to her recordings.
this game has been a blast so far, it brings me back to the old days of playing Devil may cry when i was younger, and having other people jumping in on random levels is a lot of fun, it actually scared me when i heard some random voice coming from my TV and then realizing it has voice chat so you can chat with people while you're in a co-op moment. its an unnecessary touch but a welcome one just to socialize with a fellow lover of DMC.
I absolutely love 5! It’s super good and hilarious and really made me cry at the end and it’s really wanting me to fully complete it, trophies and difficulties and all. Also, during when we play as Dante the first time when we see the prologue from his POV, during when you first get into fights, you can actually see the girls fight (I’ve only caught Trish fighting). Also, I’ve oddly enough been finding pretty odd glitches/bugs when playing the game, such as enemies not loading and at one point where I couldn’t progress to the next stage(which I already have uploaded onto my channel). For me it’s kinda odd as I very rarely come across glitches/bugs in any of my games. The only way I’ve found to fix them is by restarting the entire mission. Which can sometimes succ complete donkey butt. Ive been playing it on a PS4, around when they first came out, never actually have experienced any sort of problems with it still running like an absolute champ! I take much pride in my PS4. Besides all that, I absolutely love the game!
Hands down the best review of the game, especially in terms of explaining the gameplay elements that have changed, been included, or compared to the previous games. Bravo!
Found out that the lip syncing issue is actually a problem mostly with the engine. Apparently stuttering cutscenes (usually a frame or 2) throw the audio out of whack. It's a bigger issue on PC, and it was around with the RE2 remake as well.
I honestly thought that it was them trying as hard as they could to keep the lips moving like they did in Japanese in places they could get away with it. Kinda like an anime with dubbing the lip flaps.
The only improvements I want from the game: - Super characters (I haven’t finished DMD so idk if they are there) - Alternative costumes, even if one more for each. - DLC character(s) Minor improvements from the small updates could be so massive too, like making all the battle tunes from bosses available, and not the character themes only.
@@thedarkwolf5637 I enjoyed it a lot ! It was a really well made game, kept me entertained for hours. Super characters there, also the alt costumes, Vergil dlc is obviously out, but I’m waiting till I get a ps5 to play it. The game had A LOT of fanservice and call backs, and I think it really felt like a thank you to all the fans of the series, really enjoyed the game
Seeing as I have had the Deluxe edition preordered for some time I can’t wait to dive in and see where this chapter takes me! Loved this spoiler free review and can’t wait to see what you have in store next! :)
@@StevenDasUnfassbare definitely Lucia. She deserves it. She was an interesting character and her devil trigger is interesting and kinda spooky looking.
I love the passion you put into these reviews, it shows through every time. Spoiler review coming soon? I can't wait to hear how you react to --------- and ---------- but mostly the thing you flashed in the video
I'm a huge fan of Lady as well (and I've also cosplayed her!) so I've been hoping we can see her kicking ass in this game. I'm a little disappointed that it sounds like she doesn't play too big of a role, but I'm not too disappointed - I'm still hyped as hell for this game!
I laughed when she talked about a defensive playstyle with V. I rarely autospam attacks with him and I absolutely love playing as him. This is a great review btw
Devil May Cry 5 is without a doubt the greatest DMC game of the series. It gives you so much to play around and enjoy and delivers so much fan service that every little bit just feels like over indulgence. Its just a brilliant, fun and demon kicking, ass slaying time. Nero, Dante and V just feel great and the story ties up some lose ends by the end. God damn did I love this game and your review for hitting a lot of the same points!
Devil May Cry 5 may be my favourite video game, but even I admit there are some things I was sad to see weren't in the game. There are two major things that I feel would push the game to a possible 10/10. 1. A sort of "free mode" where after you complete the story once, you can go back and replay them but with all the story and cutscenes removed, and you can choose any character you want. So you can play Dante's missions as V, Nero's missions and Dante, etc. That would add a LOT of replay value. 2. A dedicated co-op mode. Kind of a no-brainer, but I was actually upset that there wasn't one in the game. Especially after they teased it in the trailers. Could you imagine how much replay value this game would have if you could go through the story levels or Bloody Palace with a friend? And with all the 4 playable characters? That would be sick.
idk how common this is, but I was playing one of the missions where there is another person playing off in a different part of the level. and the other person was me. I even watched them moving around and it was very much the way I play through that section of the game.
Just a PSA: DMC 5 on the PlayStation version just got a update that censors some of the nudity from the game with a bright light. Personally I am not a fan of any type of censorship.
@@randomguy6679 yea exactly so whats the point of going through the trouble of censoring it? The game is rated M and no other version has JJ abrams lens flare
Water Filter Merchant Cept all other platform versions do the lens flare censor for Lady too. It’s the Trish censorship that’s idiotic. But it shouldn’t be a shock after hearing how Sony has changed their censorship up and how they deal with Japanese games since Sony HQ moved to the US.
@@streeTkiDwannaBe idk why sony is doing this shit now. You'd think the silicon valley types would be the opposite of puritans. Besides We have rating systems like the ESRB for a reason
I was on the fence for quite a while about this game. I had played the 1 and 3 and some of 4 but was afraid that it would be a nostalgia buy and nothing beyond that. This video pushed me all the way and I have had such a great time with it. Thank you for making honest content and always do you.
I am playing the entire series right now. I am currently on DMC5, and I cannot believe I've slept on this series for decades. I may be late to this party, but I am still having a blast.
I normally increase the playback speed of review videos, especially those that are lengthy, but I just love the sound of your voice so much that I can't bring myself to make it go any faster. Excellent review, btw!
Ngl, I bought THE ENTIRE SERIES based purely on the strength of Bury The Light. That song alone made me interested enough to buy the attire series for 50 bucks on a PSN sale
I just wanted to quickly drop in and say that you have an absolutely amazing voice for this type of thing. Really made me enjoy your videos after I stumbled upon your Should you play DMC1.
