I agree that Haney’s power is underrated. I think that low KO% is more a product of style/temperament than him being pillow-fisted. And he looked real solid in his first fight at 140.

Ryan’s come off as so unhinged in the lead up to this that I’m not even sure this fight should be happening. Both are talented, but Haney comes off as deeply serious about the craft and in command of his career, while Garcia strikes me as immature and distracted. He’ll honestly be exceeding my expectations if he’s even competitive in this fight.

Ryan is still very basic despite the amateur experience due to him focusing more on social media and being a micro celebrity than improving as a boxer Doesn’t have a base style, is undisciplined, is inconsistent with his jab, and has absolutely no defense…he fell in love with his power Haney is going to give him a boxing lesson

You realize there is a difference between a punch that knocks you off balance and one that truly hurts someone. Haney vs Prograis was more knocking him off balance then actually hurting him. I still feel it plays out like you said but i dont agree with Haney having any power.

My prediction: Haney wins either by UD or mid round stoppage. I think Ryan comes on very aggressively early and has some physical success but gets hurt recklessly which will basically dictate the entire complexion on the fight.

People forget tank Davis had to put a rehydration clause on top of a catch weight on Ryan Garcia. Don't be surprised if we get a Trilogy out of these fighters 🍻

I would be very surprised to see Ryan win. I don’t think he is at Haney’s level but he does have power so you never know

People make a big deal about Haney not having big power...like that's a deciding factor or something. He's the only guy in boxing who gets heavily critiqued for not having any sort of notable punching power. Haney will outclass Ryan in a way Ryan won't be prepared for, most likely UD or maybe even a late TKO.

Haney will win on points, but I hope to see the best version of Ryan Garcia.

One thing about Ryan is that he can throw punches with lots of power without winding up first and telegraphing. If Haney wants to punch as hard as Ryan he has to wind it up first and that's enough for Ryan to see it coming and counter. I'm anticipating lots of back foot, stab jabs and the occasional 1-2 from Haney. Circling off the ropes and ducking as Ryan tries to close the distance. Ryan will need to have good strategy for cutting off the ring, hopefully he worked on that! I think Loma's the only guy I've seen land clean punches on Haney, due to his masterful foot work and angles. Ryan will need to do it through brute force.

This is not going to be a competitive fight. Garcia is the ultimate low risk/high reward opponent for any top fighter in and around 140.

Obviously you have to favor Haney off accomplishments and skillset. However Ryan, like Wilder, always has the nuclear option (one punch KO power). It doesn’t matter how well Haney is doing in the fight. He has to be perfect for 36 minutes. Ryan needs to be perfect for just one second. I do believe that the pressure is on Haney rather than Ryan tho. Everyone is counting Ryan out and expecting Haney to dominate. He might feel he has to prove himself and step out of his norms because they have history.

If Garcia wins I am signing up for my first fight.

The dream is a decipline fighter and very patient in picking is shot's and will make Garcia bored and fight reckless like he always dose and get countered a win for Haney.

Haney has far too many tools in the bag for a pretty basic fighter like Garcia. The only style that beats Devin is something like Pitbull, but with more effective cutting off of the ring rather than following around. A true pressure fighter that turns the screw with footwork, power and shot selection - like a mini GGG.

You forgot to mention their amateur background. They’ve fought each other several times and grew up together in the amateurs . They’re practically friends. Also, forgot to mention what loma was able to do to Devin Haney. Not to long ago and still significant. Haney wants Teofimo not tank. Tank has no belts and Haney would have everything to lose. If anything Ryan Garcia would have a great claim to rematch tank after if he wins. I see those as a lot more competitive than most people think.

I think Devin wins by clear decision and maybe even late stoppage. BUT i do think he gets hurt at some point, Ryans hand speed is legit, I think Devins legs lock up at some point, but in the end hes too talented and too smart not to win this
