Danny McShain is my Uncle. Nice to see this match with him and Bronco Lubich as refs... Uncle Danny had quite the wrestling career for some 37 years and approximately 16 years as a ref. May he R.I.P.
You know this was a great time in wrestling . Lothario and Madril could both work . They might not have been big National stars but they could work with any star , like Dickie Murdoch , you could bring in . So there did not need to be a history of heat between the two teams for the match to be interesting to the fans . I miss this . I did not understand back then how good I had it but I do now .
There was talent in the Murdoch family . Dick was a short lister for the NWA World title and Killer Brooks , his legit 1st cousin , was well respected as a great hand . Frankie Murdoch was Dickie's dad .
Show us more pard',absolutely!More Al,more Killer Tim.I guess early in Piper's career he & Tim Brooks shared an apartment up by my neck o' the woods in Portland ,Oregon.I understand that was the making of some wild days & sleepless nights.Killer Brooks looked to be genuine bad news walkin'.Hell on wheels.
Al Madril was under rated . Everyhting he did looked good . However , he was working at a time when being solid was common . Everyone could work . They were all broke in right . So it was easy to go unnoticed . Madril was overlooked. I hear he is very bitter about it and refuses to discuss wrestling with fans . As if he just wants to forget it .What a tragedy . To be that good and not get to the top .
