This 3.24 patch looks truly incredible. Huge W for GGG and the players. Twitch: / subtractem 2nd YT: / @subtractemgaming1277 Patreon: / subtractem Discord: / discord Link to the forum page: www.pathofexile.com/forum/vie...
My biggest issue right now is the fact that when a corpse drops, the box for that corpse is on top of everything else, they need to make it be an item like everything else and the corpse box only appears once you mouse over it.
@@faustino6783 I had the same experience, "25% chance to replace pack leader jewellery drops with a divine" on a blue t3 map, even went and got a friend just to try and get some passable amount of quant and of course still got no divines.
Had a 3% chance for a divine orb drop and got 7 of them. It's definitely one of those "If you get it, you're rich, otherwise too bad." mechanics that I'm not a huge fan of. Like playing a slot machine.
@@uzul7742 People are figuring out the crafting bit to it now, Recipes are floating around, made myself a +1 all +1 phys skills scepter and it had t1 crit chance for spells and t1 added fire to spells, t1 attack speed and good cast speed roll
Did you put in the pack with highest number of monsters? And also is it 75% increased chance. Or 75% chance to drop per pack. Or per mob. specifics matter. If it's 75% per pack and you killed 1 pack there you go. If it's 75% inc. It could be like 1% +75% so like. 1.75% chance. Poe is complicated man
It was a bad schedule window a ton of games came out and stuff I am excited to play now. I was still playing but more casually now I will go harder at it.
For those who didn't know, the atlas passive that reduces/increases the haunted modifiers effect will be applied on BOTH haunted and devoted modifiers. Maybe that's the "high risk, high reward" logic but I found it weird. As during the live stream, Mark introduced as if they are separate from each other. And, in game, they were actually separated, affecting different group of monsters.
Damn, and here I was planning a megajuiced craft for making a +1 chaos wand. Wonder if my old increased chance corpses will be buffed, and if they will buff the less occurence corpses too
To me this looks already very cool. All I wanted basically itemized or less anoying corpse pickups. Like you know - not blocking and taking 10% of screen. Also - Fear of the Light is so worth picking up for me as well :D Spicy.
They need to make the corpse mods stack in the ui and have a drop down for each mod that lets you select what corpse you want to use for the mod. Kinda like how the crafting station ui is with the drop down that lets you choose what tier of the craft you want. Edit: watched further into the vid 😂. Their solution seems great excited for these changes
Glad someone else is reading the specific line about the tiers the same way I did. My immediate reaction was the same: "oh shit this could turn into late harvest league". I'm not gonna hold my breath, but these notes are enough to get me back to thinking about playing after quitting Sunday. Might just level a second build while waiting for the patch, cause at the very least these changes are probably enough to make it a mid-tier league, if not close to banger. The other stuff you mentioned can kind of be worked around by just ignoring the UI and just making sure you're 100% ready for every map before clicking on it. It really sucks that it auto-opens especially, but at least if you just prep 4-5 maps ahead of time and just keep it all in your inventory the whole time you can just run out of maps at the same time as the rest of the stuff you need for them.
Yes I agree, reducing the clutter of just pointless things.. Some sorting in the menu would be great though instead of having to copy paste like "caster" every time you open a window.
I've never played a Righteous Fire Chieftain, but I looked at Pohx Kappa RF Chieftain and it looks similar to your build with most of same gems. In Act 9 with your build, doing good. some dying, using some equipment that dropped but kinda works, bought some stuff just for right gem color sockets. Need to fine tune Frostblink setup - not using it much for dmg, weak, , using Fire Trap and went back to Rolling Magma with it for better dmg right now.
I think the devoted modifiers are not rewarding by design, they added them just like something extra and the main reward was supposed to be the corpses/crafting but the way it was set up it was almost imposssible to get something good from the corpses(especially that even if you rolled good mods you still had to win the base type RNG)
looks good but even with these changes i dont think its saved for me. i'm just a map and go andy, no juicing, no big bosses. so it will still be pretty unrewarding unless i'm min-maxing it
I still have concerns with the monster mods and not being able to skip the mechanic. I play in hc and man it is so scary in white maps with no damage mods. I'm playing champion with full spell suppression grace determination. It's wild.
I almost hope they revisit the "all modifier Tier rating" thingy. Getting harvest level Crafting might be almost boring, if I have a mirror level BiS item within 2 days of grinding corpses then what am I playing the league for any more?
@@afscrew123 Yeah, I know, it was kind of a meme. Since I'm barely touching red maps yet (SSF) I honestly don't know what kind of "meta crafts" necropolis can get you. So idk if it can spit out influenced items or whatever. On the other hand though, influenced items are pretty rarely used these days so 6T1 regular affix for most items is very, very close to mirror tier (bar the synth implicit ofc)
@@truuuupR oof ya i had all trash and a stormshroud and badge of the brotherhood to choose from. Funded fixing my gear/first 6 link. I never even found the nameless seer last league.
im just trying to get currency with my league start....trying mines used what little currency i have to max my normal resists.....almost failed 2 T1 maps because of the modifiers from mobs....and just had a T4 brick because everything but 1 thing had a mod
made a couple pieces i used during the campaign, and then outside of that i think the whole league mechanic has made me about 10c by the time i finished the atlas
GGG making magic within a week. Savor it, boys. Lots of other kids have to wait many months or more after paying $100+ for their devs to even kind of care!
I don't think people realise how busted the modifier rating change is. I believe it's with 8 or 9 corpses (Maybes it's 10) u can guarantee only T1 mods on ur item. Then all u need is to scarce/increase the weightings and u can more or less gurantee a 6 T1 mod, 6 link item. Basically a mirror tier item. The only crafts that will not be possible are the ones that's require influence mods which will have to be gambled through tradition means. Depending on the drop rate for the tier increase corpses either they will be divs each or crafters who know how to use the mech will be flithy rich
Someone will make a "corpse calculator" that will show exactly how the weighting and mod tiers change with x number of corpses which will make corpse selection much easier. The UI is god awful and the mechanic is not very fun or intuitive to interact with. How someone play tested this and thought yep this is super fun to do over and over. The crafting is not my biggest complaint of the league my problem is we have an in map mechanic that you cannot opt out of but you have to invest into on the atlas tree to make it somewhat rewarding. That to me is a big problem. Without atlas tree investment that mapping mechanic is rippy for 0 rewards. That kinda sucks. Hate being a doomer and complaining about stuff but that one pisses me off.
@@madhatten5123 I personally think corpse crafting is fun. And haven't been having any issues with the league mech I've been doing deli breach in t16s. The mobs just die before their modifiers actually matter but tuning them down is good and is exactly what they are doing
Grimro already did, you can go check it out. 1000% increase guarntees you at least 9/10 for chosen modifier. Tier rating needs to be 500 to get at least t2 on the selected one@@madhatten5123
I rarely do the league stuff until then end of the first league so I haven't noticed how bad the crafting was. The map to map stuff though just seems awful. I like to alch and go and now I have to worry about moving random do nothing mods around. Also I feel like there is a phy reflect bug right now. I was playing my Ice shot build with 100% cold convert and I was still killing myself on maps. I have frenzy but that has never mattered in the past so I'm not sure what is going on with that. Might I am just not remembering right from other builds.
the best mod i see is 500% increase chance/ 300% scare / 100 tier. the other meta is explaining it self. this will make crafting easier. a lot easier. you want fire base just thrown like 5 500% fire chance and 300% scare to other. maybe add 500% chance for defend mod. also if you really want a good gear you need to put +100 tier too.
I am really happy that I stopped and took a break after campaign for 2-3 days. GGG always has this same philosophy of releasing extremely nerfed league mechanic and then buffing it very slowly. Hopefully by next week, it gets better
I'll let other people mess with it first but as it stands it will continue to not be worth my time considering had -2000% chance to roll lightning and still rolled added lightning damage on a weapon
ye im going to be happy too if they change rarity asap.. theres like 30% of the scarab tab is just no supply or they dont even exist since u cant drop them or open with veiled scarabs imma throw out some numbers. i opened 25k veiled scarabs in std and i got like 6 horned total or lets see div scarabs i got around 400 standard div scarab 13 curation and 2-3 completion.. xddding out thats just bullshit i cant even juice in std cuz scarabs are offline
Im not. Scarab change is a big mistake. Removing 4 Slots of juicing maps and just nerfing the atlas and than only brings in 500000 useless scarabs doesnt feel good anymore. Running normal endgame just feels like running T12 non-juiced before. They nerfed everything and put alot of content behind a big big GATE for most of the players. This patch was a big mistake. Now u can run full expedition but for what? where are the possibilities? before u good choose between alot of diffrent playstyles and could combine them in a way more free way. Now u can choose between single content... yey.
@@devn6568 ye im not a fan ofc as an mf hard juicer andy but they obv not gonna revert this so im hoping atleast i can do fckin card farming if they finally make curation scarab is not like hinekora lock rarity (edit: im playing std this league and ye there is no scarabs on standard only for like 5-8 div/map a couple and obv im not gonna just throw my money out for nuffing even if im a millionaire on std)
@@dreamhax0801 I dont get GGG. I mean they nerfed the coregame the last 3-4 seasons but why did they do this? They legit just took away FUN. There was no reason and they decide to "remove FUN from the Core-Game-Gameplay". I tried, gave it chance, but this seems just terrible decisions overall.
I am willing to give them a chance to do whatever they need to do. You can't hit the mark everytime ^^ The game is still one of best games I've ever played, whether the league mechanic missed the mark or not ^^
Great patch, but league itself got a slightly rocky start. Thank God they addressed it only 3 days after launch! How many devs react so quickly to player feedback?? I'm optimistic this'll be a good one
For me it feels like they were too busy tweaking the core game and completely forgot to create a league mechanic for this league, so they had to scrape something together at the very last minute.
Ggg really just needs to give the game to the big name streamers for 2 days before release and then apply the inevitable buff patch before public release. They always put out something tedious and rippy and sub points out the complaints and they get fixed.
The crafting part is bad but the mapping is what really irks me. A league mechanic u cannot opt out of but u have to invest atlas points to make it somewhat rewarding. Without atlas investment its rippy for 0 rewards. Feels pretty awful especially with the location of the league mechanics wheels on the atlas tree are all over the damn place. The entire mechanic makes me really wonder who the hell play tested this and said yup this is really fun. Its really weird.
I appreciate their immediate response and the changes, but I just don't understand why its mandatory. A lot of this league's changes were making us be able to choose what we want to play, and then they stick a forced mechanic. Personally, IDC if they make the mechanic incredibly op, I don't wanna deal with it. Just give us a button please
the button you are looking for is "standard"...as in how to play POE without the current league mechanic. I get not liking a league and all. However, the notion that you're going to exist in the league and tell them what should or shouldn't be in the game is strange to me. Sure, many league types are optional like sanctum/harvest/legion etc. They're not all optional tho...if there's rogue exiles in your map, you gotta run from them if you don't wanna fight them...kill too many mobs at once and beyond is in your map, well, now there may be a rare boss in your face....to quote Neon, this is a "deal with it" situation. In theory, they COULD put a node next to the other league mechanics to strike necropolis from the maps since they put it on the atlas tree. Still, I think that sets a bad precedent. If enough people completely dodge the mechanic, it significantly affects the supply/demand within the economy. As a dev, allowing that is probably a no go I would guess. I prefer their "let's fix it, make it better...and have people enjoy the mechanic" rather than, sure, remove it at will. There's VERY little forced upon you while playing POE with all the varying choices you can make, I think we're a bit spoiled in how much we can just cherry pick. If they decide a few things can't be ignored, I don't know that it's too big a deal. Every game from monopoly to POE has rules, after all.
@@TheTripleJski what? literally look at affliction, the league 5 days ago. You didn't want to deal with it? just dont enter it. And its not comparable to standard because its not. I wanna play with other people the current league because its everyone starting new. There are also ways to disable most other leagues in the game from the atlas. Most other mechanics either wont affect the map at all (rogue exiles, torment, beyond) or you can just NOT do them. Dont want legion? dont click the thing. Dont want niko? dont click. This applies to: alva, niko, legion, deli, breach, expedition, essences, harvest, lab, strongboxes, abyss, blight. Sure, they spawn in your map, but you dont have to interact with them, and they DEFINITELY dont affect the entire map and buff everything. as for the ones that you mentioned, you kill them and move on. its not that every following mob is gonna be a beyond mob. its not comparable.
Dunno there are still so much more.. Like automation... every1 using automation for guard skills... and then again potions to use on guard doesn't work. Kinda sus that i need to press my potions now cuz of it. LMB removal and potion stuff kinda miss with potions in my opinion
Needs opt out. 6 negative, build-slapping, death mods for the 1/300 CHANCE at a corpse that has a 1/100 CHANCE to be a relevant crafting mod for you was ridiculous. Canceling tiers will certainly help, but, my LORD this system was beyond tedious at league start for Those reasons alone. This patch will address 10% of the mountain of friction they launched with. I don't understand how they still launch with the same errors after so many years. You are right on about the UI/UX as well. Huge oversight. I really hope GGG learns from this, but they pretty consistently launch in this state. Good for them for reacting in the right direction most of the time, but I'm so tired of them making the same mistakes league after league.
That corpse UI is terrible, I try to totally ignore the crap league mechanic but the corpse pop-ups block everything and then force me to wait for the slow useless guy to waddle out so I can click burn on a few of the corpses…
Calling the Embers mid is being super generous. I had a map mod for 400% increased quantity of drops, tossed on one of my tattoo embers and got a big fat goose egg by the end of the map. I mean yeah 400% of zero is technically zero, but that feels goddam awful. The ONLY good ember so far is frogs because it lets you go ignore a mob type or mod you are afraid of. Also I'm okay if this ends up busted. That's what we NEED. Right now it is worse fossil crafting but with extra steps.
better question why does ggg continue to add stupid crap like that into the game when everyone hates it other then apparently the developers obviously who are not listening to advice lol the click on random shit mechanic like hey look a popup window everyone loves mini games were you see intrusive popup windows that you need to click to be rewarded with nothing hahaha so much fun keep adding these things we love them awesome
The player retention must've been REALLY bad, huh. At least they're listening, that's good, I was about to drop the league. But I won't give them any praise for what they're planning, because in my eyes it's like a firefighter who first caused the fire just so they can put it out now.
That's why people are upset lol everybody wants perfect gear in 1 day of playing mechanic felt solid a little ripped but not bad and the crafting is good if you prepare long term short term it's still a good way to get a quick 5l and minor 1 or 2 mod targets
Just give us the ability to skip the mechanic entirely. Seems like such an obvious thing, especially for newer players for whom PoE is already over-complex, without a forced league mechanic. If you don't click on the icon in map transition, it should be a normal map. I know that doesn't fix waypoint transitions, but they can figure it out. Don't force league mechanics on people. Seems simple.
I disagree that theyve learned. This league launch contained every mistake they've make for the last 5 years. Overtuned and rippy , no rewards, tiny stash, clunky, unskippable. It was a real walk down memory lane. Artwork, music and lore were top tier as always though.
I hate the reddit drama queens but this league has been pretty ball busting. At first I thought I was lining up the corpses wrong or something because how could so many modifier effects produce such amazingly shit items? Still, glad GGG has switched things up and they've seen that if they want people to focus on crafting as opposed to mapping they're gonna have to make it at least a little bit OP.
So dump because someone like me, he only has a few hours to play every night and that’s pushing it. It totally drove me away from playing POE. All these years and they still don’t get it
i honestly dont know why ggg doing this every freaking time. the game is in a good state every1 having fun then gutting all drops and league mechanics some time flys and they come up with affliction where currency and drops are raining and after that here we are lmao removal of juicing they make me juice 1 content only but i cant even do that either cuz there are no scarabs to do with.. i hate this pingpongin shit they doing
Aside from everybody apparently thinking the league is shit. Which I don't think it is. Maybe just realize how great of a state the game is in currently. Quit trying to bash the GGG after they just gave you a thousand great changes to the game.
