Did Kris Kremers or Lisanne Froon fall of the trail?

Lets look at the call logs and the evidence, do they match?
Is there any evidence that would lead use to believe that either Kris Kremers or Lisanne Froon fell off the trail?

My theory is that first call was bc they had come across someone on the path and felt unsafe possibly they secretly made that call. Maybe they did not have other opportunities to call after that if they were being watched.

That trail is a tourist attraction for the town. Many people walk on that trail. Out of the thousands that have walked it, how many people have fallen into a ravine that we know of? Do we know of anyone who has fallen into a ravine? If assumingly 99% of the people navigate the trail without falling into a ravine, why is that the first theory of so many? Mathematically it doesn't make sense.

I don't think they got that far or fell off a trail. I think they were abducted & murdered. After Kris' parents announced they wouldn't leave until they knew either way if Kris was dead or alive & after a $30,000 reward was offered, suddenly the backpack & bones were found! Very fishy!

I believe the reason the phones were turned on around the same time every day - breakfast, mid-morning, lunch-time - is that the phones were being turned on by men who had jobs. They turned the phones on before work, and in their breaks. I think 13:37 happening twice is just a coincidence, the window is around 13:30-14:00 and he happened to hit 13:37 twice.
@TylerChamb
@TylerChamb 4 месяца назад
But that doesn't make any sense either. They didn't try to get into the phone or make a call or anything, they just turned it on, at the exact same time, stared at the lockscreen for two seconds, and then turned it back off. Why would either they or their alleged killers do that? It doesn't make any sense. Their killers turned the phone on ... why? If there were killers involved they woudln't have done that, they would have just taken the phones and destroyed them with all the other evidence. The same questions as to why Kris and Lisanne would turn it on for no reason at the same time every day and just stare at it for two seconds before turning it back off could be asked of their killers. It is equally strange and nonsensical for the girls or their killers to be doing that with the phones, it doesn't make sense either way.
@lyndoncmp5751
@lyndoncmp5751 Месяц назад
@TylerChamb The killers probably did it because they had already killed them and wanted to make it seem like they were still alive and were lost on the other side of the Mirador, especially if they had already been killed somewhere else. Sorry, but this isnt Hollywood. In fact most people dont leave any messages in a life threatening situation. I myself wrote diaries, and documented everything about my life in my youth, but also me: in a survival situation very likely would NOT leave messages. For different reasons: the main reason is: MOST people (you too, and me too) are NOT able to estimate how long they will live (even in a bad situation). In Hollywood movies they know it: because the film ends in 100 minutes, therefore it makes sense to leave a message at minute 90 of the movie. But in real life: you simply dont know wether you have 2 days, ... or 3 days. And if someone is young, you simply dont want to give up. Most people with cancer are the same - they dont think of : ''oh tommorow i will die, so i leave a message, because i am now so weak already, and dont know wether i will later be able to leave a message'' ... Even my father , who had cancer didnt leaved messages in the end - simply for that reasons. Thats reality - not a movie. He didnt liked to think : ''oh in the next days i will die, so i leave a message to my loved ones'' ... DONT get me wrong (because i know your thoughts) : YES there ARE people who leaved messages before they died. Its not ONLY hollywood - i get it - you dont need to explain me that. But those people are more rare than you think. At 9/11 thousands of people faced death , but only a handful actually leaved a message to their loved ones. Its really not that common as you want to think. Most people are holding on the last straws of hope, until they are even unable to leave message. Its not because : they are ''not the type of leaving messages'' ... its just: that they dont have the opportunity. Also: Lisannes phone died quiet fast (when both were full of hope, in the 2-3th day). When they felt near to death - the only phone left was the one of Kris (but she probably died first, and therefore it wasnt possible anymore to unlock the phone for Lisanne). The camera probably didnt had a lot of battery. It was used only at 8th april (besides of the 1st April) . The camera probably only had enough battery to make 90 shots in 3 hours - also no more opportunity to leave message). Also they didnt had any pencils etc with them. The only message they were able to leave was a SOS with torn apart paper. About the phone data ... i dont know from where backpackercoach has his source - but i have different data , and the times differ more than in backpackercoachs data. It looks like backpackercoach went on some muderer-conspiracy-sites where some phonedata was intentionally wrong added , and he simply copy-paste it for his video. But nevertheless: even according my source of the phone data, there is a small correlation : that usually the girls turned on their phone around 10am , and again around 1pm-3pm ,... the one from 6th april isnt 1:37pm , but 2:35pm of Kris phone. Looks like some ''muderer-theorists'' loved to change the data, to make it more ''suspicious, that the 1:37pm of 6th April is the same as 1:37pm of 5th April... If we just can resists our love for murder-cases, we definetely could find out more about this case - by real rational thinking.. .and not calling it rational when we just correlate the facts with our narratives.

Before I say this, I just want to state that I’m not a Dr, I just have medical professionals in my family, grew up being taught a lot & have always had a strong interest in forensics ect… I feel (with my unprofessional eye), like I can tell a lot from that foot X-Ray.., For 1, that’s 2 very severe fractures. Most fractures, are hard to see to the untrained eye, however those 2 are highly visible, very severe breaks & where they’re located (above the middle toes, top of foot), makes that almost, if not so, impossible to walk on. That’s at Center of balance & where the foot & tendons flex. She’d of basically had very little structure holding her foot together (silly way of ne explaining it but that’s the nutshell). I don’t believe she could’ve physically walked on it even if she pushed through the pain… Also, that doesn’t look like a crush break to me (such as a rock falling on it). Generally with crush (or “impact fractures” is more the right wording), you usually see many tiny bone fragments in the surrounding area. We don’t see that in this X-Ray. That’s also a difficult part of the foot to break. It’s most common to break slightly lower, above the little/pinky toe, most commonly from a fall or twist, but 2 severe fractures like that up that high on the foot is unusual, especially given it doesn’t look like impact fractures… What might be consistent with fractures like that, in that location, might be if her foot got wedged between 2 objects & she fell, but her foot stayed in place… that, IMO, is even more likely to happen if her foot got wedged & she fell backwards rather that forwards… or was pushed backwards, or was backing away from something… it could still definitely happen falling forwards if the foots wedged, but our ankles bend forwards so would somewhat expect it to be more likely falling backwards (just imagine your own foot, wedged between 2 rocks to a depth above your toes, now “fall forward”… your ankle & body bends… now “fall backwards”… naturally, there’s not much give in your ankle. You can kinda get a understanding of my opinion putting your own body in those situations)… Also… Just to note, bones are much harder to break after passing away. Once a person has passed, muscles immediately relax, there’s no struggling ect …In fact, that’s actually a method Coroners use to help determine in “falls from heights” cases wether the person was already passed away prior to “falling/jumping” due to there likely to be less fractures if the person was already gone or unconscious at the time of the fall (cause the muscles are relaxed. It’s actually the tensing of muscles around bones that cause a lot of fractures… hence why people who suffer from seizures often get broken bones, it’s the muscles tensing, not the “thrashing around” that does it💔). In saying that though, it’s definitely not impossible for bones to break after passing, it’s just less common & harder to do… especially in the foot, that’s an unusual place… so my opinion is she was likely still alive when the foot fractures happened… Another thing I thought of is if the foot fractures did happen after passing away… well, the foot wasn’t connected anymore & if that was done by human intervention, then perhaps something like a vice or something similar was used to hold the foot still & the ordeal of it bent & broke the foot?… Horrendously morbid, but these are things that are a reality in this world & worth considering when investigating I guess… Oh God, these poor families!!! 😓😓💔💔

What do you think about that: After taking picture 508 and walking for some amount of time, they were being observed by someone. At 16.39 and 16.51 they made a discrete emergency calls. After that, they were attacked and kidnapped (for some reason), and were taken to one of the houses west to the first cable bridge. Person that kidnapped them was leaving the house for a few minutes twice a day and it allowed the girls to retrieve their phones (assuming that the kidnapper took them) and make emergency calls or other things. On 8th April the girls managed to escape and made it through to the area of cable bridge 1 where they took those night photos. Unfortunately later they were found by the kidnapper and killed, he dismembered their bodies and threw them to the nearby river. I may be wrong with something, so if, please correct me. In my opinion they were kept in a cave or a remote house in the jungle. They only had temporarily access to their phones during times when the kidnapper was distracted or busy. They were killed earlier because only after 3 days the first wrong pin codes were entered. Then the remains were kept in plastic bags and brought to the final place where they were buried in the last night. During this action there was time to shoot some pics to fool the police and plenty other people (as the remains were not in proper condition only Kris hair could be photographed). I bet there are still some "trophies" in the possession of the killers.

However unlikely it is, one scenario I imagine for the strange consistent timing of the phonecalls assumes that by day 2 the girls ended up trapped in the shady river gully location of the night photos as days and nights passed. By chance at certain times of the day - around 10am and also around 1pm - the sun might have been in a position to shine down through the dense tree canopy overhead (that the night photos show) and bathe them in light and warmth for short periods at these times as they lay immobile. In their static injured state these recurring periods would be distinctive 'landmark' times of the day that might have prompted them to try to phone for help.

Yes, this would be an explanation of the timing of the phonecalls. But if they got lost: - why did nobody hear them although search teams were around and hikers walk this trail every day. According to "helpful" tourguide F. even people live nearby (secretly). - why did they not leave any messages in their phones? - why did they not use their camera before the night pics? - why does the hair of Kris looks so clean in the night pic? After a week in the jungle...And why was only this pic taken which shows a "sign of life" but not a selfie etc. - why does "helpful" tourguide F. enters their room, spends half an hour (what was he looking for?) and calls the police only several hours later? - why did several young men who have been involved in the case die "accidentally" within days (e.g. Osman who was looking for the girls but also knew the local gang) respectively 1 year (e.g. the driver who brought the girls to the starting point)? - why did only people connected to "helpful" tourguide F. find a few bones and the backpack? Why did nobody find the other bones? (are they buried by the river? I bet no other bones will ever be found unless someones talks or digs...). - who put the phones in zip-foils in the backpack? Both phones are not waterproof but were not damaged by the river and the rain. - Do girls that are lost in the jungle put off their bras and put them neatly in the backpack? If you are the killer and you know the police, the family and search troops are around and after you, they are already combing the environment and asking everyone... is is not the best idea to stage a scenario that points in the opposite direction and will also be appreciated by the local police? The "lost" scenario just increases the number of questions. If you assume the girls have been abducted and kept secretly it explains everything.

If they fell off the trail or bridge you would find their bodies largely intact (if they had even died from such a fall which is unlikely!). It’s obvious they did the hike, got back fine and then were abducted and eventually murdered for organ harvesting. One does not find a foot ripped clean off because they “fell off the trail”. That is due to methodical dismemberment.

Why not take into account the theory that the girls went further along the path? Alone or with someone who promised to make them happen? Everything becomes more logical if we assume this course of things. Looking at your map, it looks like they have reached the third cable-stayed bridge. This is what the shorts and the remains found near him and further downstream hint at. It seems to me that the slope from night photographs should be looked for in this place, and not at the end of the descent from the mountain. Why did they keep moving forward? I don’t know, maybe the girls got lost? Perhaps there were dozens of paths and they thought they were going right, and then there was no point in going back and it would have been more correct to go forward. I hope you will consider such a theory in the next parts of your mini investigation.

what I especially wonder about is the phone calls, they call 112 and 911, but they haven't tried to call any family members. understood that they were in contact with family, who kept them well informed about their journey. I find it strange because they only tried the emergency number, I would also try to call at least 1 to 2 family members or send an app to all telephone contacts, with SOS, possible location sharing included. hoping this will get through to someone. Even without a connection, this would be visible later, just as it can be seen when you turn off the phone. my feeling about this case is that it wasn't a complete accident. yes, it is certainly possible that one of the ladies broke her metatarsal bones during their walk. but because of this, they would both be easy targets for a cannibalistic tribe. If the cannibalism tribes are known and the police are not even allowed to interfere with it, because of the tribes' own laws. I can imagine that you don't want to close the case on this, that will keep the holiday goers away completely. I can also imagine that rules have been drawn up between the tribes and villages, so that the villages are safe, for the tribes they believe in cannibalism. Iam so sorry for the family, RIP for the 2 beautiful an brave young women.

That's a great, enlightening video. Thanks so much! Interestingly, it shows that the parents' account of the trail (after hiking it themselves) wasn't correct at all. As the impressive video of the Imperfect Plan team shows, there's indeed quite a number of pretty dangerous spots, where one could easily slip off the trail and vanish into the thicket. Honestly, seeing that trail actually changes my believes about this case quite a bit. Until now I was certain, that the official accident theory was total BS. But apparently it's not that far fetched. I wonder why the parents wanted to convince themselves (or everyone else), that there was no way, that the girls could have had an accident on that trail … By the way, I just read (I believe on Scarlet's blog) that the two 13:37s on April 5th and April 6th was actually a copy/paste error by the authorities. The second one should in reality be another time, which I don't recall right now. But it was rather close, so it doesn't change the very odd distribution of the phone operations. Just wanted to mention it.

They called at approx 5 pm the emergency call, most likely not because they had an accident already i guess, but at that time they noticed they are definitly completly lost and the dark will set in soon. Perhaps it wasn't bones that floated down the river, but rather intact corpses or body parts. The flesh then decayed at the site where it was found. This would work if the river had a lot of water. The night images were analyzed. They show rain, sometimes heavy rain, which may have caused the river to swell. I don't think it's entirely unusual that the bones were in different conditions. The site was not a sterile room, it is jungle. Anything from a mountain lion to ant could have been on the body parts. Sometimes more sometimes less. Then some bones were freed from meat earlier than others. The only thing that isn't 100% correct is where the backpack was found. It couldn't have gotten to where it was lying naturally. To do this he would have had to float upstream. But that doesn't have to indicate a crime either. Maybe it was found by someone, as it is in an inhabited place nearby, and then dumped there because it was known that people were missing.

Also they may not have thought about it but trying to send a text msg to emergency services may be possible even if there isnt enough signal to make a call.

1-The fracture in Lisanne's foot and the holes in the back of Kris' Jeans do suggest that they fell from a very high place, but I don't agree that it was accidental. How to explain that people who fell into a river and died, were being dragged along with their belongings while using their phones and a camera for 11 days? This narrative of an accident is very bizarre when compared with the facts we have. 2- If they fell into a ravine where they couldn't get out and died, like the backpack, clothes, bones and other belongings, did they leave there? How did they climb out of the hole where they were trapped and end up along a river? It makes no sense, it gets too bizarre again!

Excellent analysis: strangely, calls occur at the same time, which is impossible in a panic situation, that even if we assume hypothetically, after Chris’s death on April 5, Lisanne tried to call from Chris’s phone, and these countless input attempts, by the way: emergency calls occur without entering a PIN code, and a night photos, supposedly of Chris’s head, taken, presumably, by Lisanne to fix and mark her friend’s body somewhere under a canopy, where it is dry and there is no rain. Then why was Chris's body missing, both shoes and clothes, and her "bleached" bone ended up in the water, her shorts in a completely different place? Where did Chris' head go (an animal can't swallow a whole head)? Or maybe we should investigate the pictures of the guys at the waterfall, the huts that the girls’ parents didn’t want to go to, the location of it all... crime.

I would think they were really conscious with what has happened to them and turning on the phone at the same time means they have some survival tactics. What I don't understand is that how on Earth the police/Interpol/FBI could not locate their phones in 2014? The other thing is buggling me is if they were for example followed on the first day or felt that someone is following them, why they did not hide and then the next day take the same path back that they were using, why they tried to go the other way? They had known how far they are from where they started, but they did not know how far they are from Costa Rica or the next house or village, this is beyond me. I would have turned back and tried to remember the path I used and just go back on the same route.

Absolutely correct. They were never too far away. Why no one saw them if they were really there. The locals already knew two girls were missing and should have pay extra attention when they walked that trail or crossing the same monkey bridge. Kris and Lisanne were right below if the night pictures were real.

For me the twice 13:37 time phone turn on/ call is most suspect. Very hard to do for someone that does not have other source of time that lost in a Jungle. Looks like somone did this by accident in a lunch break at work or on those times to troll everyone - like: ' im getting away with this' I remember in my gaming days in 2014 (I was 24 at the time) - 13:37 stands for 'Leet' aka 'Elite' like 'I Am The Best' . Mostly used it in our gaming nicknames to look cool or to troll someone. So imo the 3rd party involved must have been around between age 20-25 that was into video gaming.

They fell down a cliff and got beat up very bad, All the night photos are looking up a ravine/slope or cliff face. The trees are all tall and spindly typical of trees found growing on a cliff or slope. If they were murdered why return the evidence, why not just burn it? One girls foot was broken from a fall They lasted i think 11 days at the bottom of a cliff until finally perhaps death and wild animals made short work of the remains and they were scattered wherever the animals roamed.

The alarm !!! If they had an alarm set up certain time , but they hit the snooze bottom later. So if someone else has the phone and don’t know the ring would not pick it up, only later to check what was it . So, it seems like a robbery , that turn into a rape/ kidnap , they took their clothes and put it in the back pack, they ran away naked only their shoes on, were chase thru the forest, reach the bridge , shot are fired , they fall into the creek , traumatic injuries/ even fatal, robbers know a search party is on the way, get rid of the back pack given it away/living it at the ladies house. Ladin find out. Don’t want nothing to do with it, “said it was found by the river” . The night pictures was an attempt to be seen by an helicopter, but the rain confuse the pilots with navigation lights and lighting.
