I love seeing people come to the truth. God knows what we should and shouldn't eat and He does not change. Do not add or take away!

Yeshua never ate bacon, pork, shrimp, lobster, crab, etc. He kept Kosher foods only. Leviticus 11 was NOT canceled or revoked. Walk as He walked…

Excellent teaching! I do not eat pig or shellfish. But I also understand that we do not give our pearls to pigs or dogs cuz they will get mad. Pigs and dogs eat everything. But we have to be careful not to eat the wrong info etc that does not agree with the Word of God from pigs and dogs and repeat it out of our mouth which will make us very unclean. Many layers of meaning.

I needed to know also can someone expound more on this topic for me please.

This may not expound but I think she is referring g to 1 Tim 4:3-4. I had that same thought last week when I read it... like, wait, is Payl contradicting Yeshua's lifestyle and Yah's Words? But when I talked to a friend who is an expert in Ancient Near East culture, she said what Bill said. In Paul's culture, those things wouldn't be food (swine) but also that they were forbidding what WAS allowed by Yah. They were making good foods bad. So it is layered and not easy to break down. I would love more study/teaching on this subject!

Thank you Jennifer Duby, I too would like to know more on this topic as well, however, thanks for responding. Pork is usually what our stores have on sale every week, hard to find meats that aren't so expensive. Any ways need to learn how to enjoy veggies and maybe stay off meat. Lol...

Isaiah 66 is a future prophesy regarding The Day of Yehovah, the end of days, a time when refrigerators still exist, when he will judge the earth and it clearly states that those who defile themselves with abominable things, and even specifically mentions swine, will be destroyed. "For, behold, Yehovah will come in fire, and His chariots shall be like the whirlwind; to render His anger with fury, and His rebuke with flames of fire. For by fire will Yehovah contend, and by His sword with all flesh; and the slain of Yehovah shall be many. They that sanctify themselves and purify themselves to go unto the gardens, behind one in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the detestable thing, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith Yehovah. For I [know] their works and their thoughts; [the time] cometh, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and shall see My glory." -Isaiah 66:15-18 "For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before Me, saith Yehovah, so shall your seed and your name remain. And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before Me, saith Yehovah. And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcasses of the men that have rebelled against Me; for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh." -Isaiah 66:22-24 Also read Isaiah 65:1-5 and Isaiah 66:3-4 for more specific mentions of how God consistently finds swine flesh detestable. Also recall the story of Chanukah, where God's holy altar was corrupted and defiled the moment the pagans slew a pig on it. In no state are these animals ever considered clean, nor does any place in scripture refer to them as acceptable for ingestion. In Deuteronomy 13 he refers to them again as abominations, and if He finds them disgusting, as His people, so should we. We should be holy as he is holy, and by His own words, one who eats the abominable flesh, is not holy. "For I am Yehovah your God; sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy; for I am holy; neither shall ye defile yourselves with any manner of swarming thing that moveth upon the earth. For I am Yehovah that brought you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God; ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy. This is the torah of the beast, and of the fowl, and of every living creature that moveth in the waters, and of every creature that swarmeth upon the earth; to make a difference between the unclean and the clean, and between the living thing that may be eaten and the living thing that may not be eaten." -Leviticus 11:44-47 So yes, let us be clean and holy! 💪

It probably had more to do with the animals diet, or biology, than anything else. Nearly all of the unclean animals literally have to eat their poop to function, can't expel bacteria or microorganisms effectively, or live off of carrion. There's also the idea that it was just another way to make the children of Israel visibly different from other peoples, a 'set apart' or a 'peculiar' people. Who knows! 😀
