Yinlin broke WuWa's top up feature... It only happened in HSR and FGO, Jing Yuan and Senji Muramasa respectively....until today WuWa also got pushed up from #47 to #1 top grossing in IOS devices in JP
I mean, i cant believe this is even a question. It made 40+ million in 8 days and then Yinlin broke the damn Top up shop, then the game shot up from #48 to #1 literally over night 😂
@@meowk123 When too many people are trying to make a purchase at the same time payment functions can get overloaded and the purchases can't go through. Basically Yinlin was so hype that so many people wanted to spend that it crashed the topup function.
@@meowk123It's technically a bug but it's a bug caused by an over loaded server meaning too many people were online buying at the same time and it's not game specific but a server issue
1 small step at a time, for now it's best interest that kuro need at least a month or two to be able to get things together soon enough and hopefully no more big mess like the last one
It did succeed, Kuro will be doing well in the future there's no doubt about that, they don't really need to compete with Hoyo's enormous sales, I mean with 2 of its flagship games dominating the top ranks and ZZZ fast approaching, bringing down Hoyo in terms of sales is like an uphill battle.
Tbh the only reason genshin made as much as it did was because of Covid and the fact it had no competition. It was the only free to play open world single player gacha game. Now there are more and there are more being planned for the future so what's gonna happen is players are going to find the ones they enjoy, drop the rest and the profit will be divided between the games so just because of competition wuthering waves probably won't make genshin sales but genshin itself won't make genshin sales from this point on
Global being close in spending to CN has one another reason. Because of both more technical issues on mobile and just because nature of WuWa, it was more popular on PC, and playing PC is more popular on Global. If "regular" gacha mobile/PC revenue split is about 70/30, WuWa had this more equal. I saw somewhere figure of $42 mil total revenue for WuWa in may, so if that's true then it would be check out with roughly 50/50 split. Taking everything into account it was good, or at least sufficient first week. They made their money back which is super important given that they were pretty much out of budget before release. Now what matters is for them to put that money to work. And it will surely be interesting to see June revenue with full month of Yinlin banner run.
@@zap7737 yup and I don't want to say it but Kuro cook and they cook hard xD Yinlin already broke the store once and Jinhsi and Changli are at least a level higher than Yinlin... It will be a crazy month for WuWa.
Hope they can use the money to fix the performance. I have yinlin, calcharo, verina and jianxin and I would love to play some more but it's so hard to play at 40 fps with constant stuttering on pc.
Check your ram memory and make sure its not capped out as well as its on your ssd. I had stutters at launch so annoying all I did was move it to ssd. For some reason it lags so hard on a hard drive
I really didn't expect this at all, I mean... they gave us a lot of compensation because of a lot of bugs, but that compensation was a lot for us (especially for genshin players) sorry to compare, but that's too much right? but they still managed to get a huge income from wuthering waves in a short time, and I even heard that yinlin banner broke Wuwa's top up feature.
Im actually so excited for June sensor tower report. This is the TRUE first month of WuWa. The May one was only 8 days and it already approached half of Genshin Revenue.
WuWa is still very laggy and stutter a lot some times when I load in city and some other parts of the map and then runs smooth af in material domains, maybe it will stay like that courtesy to UE4 instead of Unity. I maybe in minority, but being able to play Genshin on mid high settings without a problem while struggling on WuWa with very low settings is pretty sad and killed my hype for the game. Being a PGR player I really wanted to play WuWa and I also hate how Genshin devs treat the community, but sadly I don't think I would be able to continue with Wuwa while even though I hate hoyo devs, I will still be playing genshin untill I settle down to one city and get a PC instead of laptop.
There is one caveat to this whole "it's going to be fine spiel": Their marketing expenditure was absolutely out-of-the charts for such a small company. They had to go above and beyond to reach Hoyoverse levels of ad campaign. Ad is massively expensive and I have my doubts this first round of $25m will cover everything. Hell, even if the $40m being thrown around might not be enough. They absolutelly had to pull the Yinlin card. Was she the only ace in their business plan? who knows. Don't forget what happened to ToF. Massive earnings and then the stagnant revenue as soon as players found out how stingy their gacha system really is. I know they are being very "generous" but when you calculate the amount of Astrites they had put in events for 1.0 they pale in comparison to their competition. With the exception of Genshin Impact of course (I think it was like 81 pulls if you did absolutely everything? oof). Its success in the western countries was an anomaly at the time. Great talk as always Connor. I hope I can actually watch you live sometime soon(timezones suck).
They had being generous with the permanent pulls . Promotional ones not so much . Specially considering weapon promotional banner has its own coin . They give 6 free weapon promotional pulls per month . Enough to get one promotional free weapon per year .
Where's protest Genshin in last 2 versions ago? From 4th latern rite and Chronicle wish banner are only dissatisfied makes point protest ending up not crowded boo
I'll be the one to say it then Connor. Wuthering Waves is absolutely a viable contender to Genshin Impact. Direct, competition. I fully believe Wuthering Waves is capable of earning similar dollars as Genshin, specifically early on. How the future goes it up to Kuro capitalizing on their position.
it's ok to be disappointed guys,, this game should have came in 3rd place but the launch really did affected it, considering the marketing and being a new game it should have pulled in $50.000.000 Remember this did worse than tower of fantasy ,
@@bullettime1116 I’m obviously trolling a little bit. I actually like the game. But just doesn’t run well on my PC. so I’m waiting for a PS5 release , which I’m a little frustrated about. , But I wasn’t trolling about their first months income. I thought it would be a little higher.
