@@treasurefrancis703 yes and trying hard to be compassionate, humble and loving. We've spoken and I've given him an explanation on how things feel now and I'm not sure if the situation can improve. But feel I've already made my mind up. I don't want to hurt him. When you've said to someone more than once "you should be 100% transparent from the start and not pretend to be something that you're not (1. You fall in love with a fake version of that person and 2) If you can't further develop your relationship intimately it's going to put a dampener on everything as I've recently experienced) He's always putting an emphasis on pleasing me which is suffocating. Since then the relationship has deteriorated, because the damage has been done and no amount of sticky tape will fix it". To be honest my feelings have changed because I'm not good with lies, and it feels as though I've been lied to. No matter how small a lie or half told truth may appear. Eventually they'll add up to one big lie and I don't wish to hang around to see if things are going to miraculously change for the better. Happiness and peace of mind is important to maintain a mental, physical and spiritual well-being. No one in their right mind wants to compromise on those things. Since my split and divorce back in the day (2013) I've learnt alot by the mistakes, stubbornness and pride I had that contributed to an unhappy and toxic relationship. I know what I do and don't want/need in my life and really am too old, well of a mature age, to be playing unnecessary games with anyone. This is a bit of a situation to be in, but it's got to be sorted. Only God has the answer so prayer, guidance and waiting for an answer is all I can depend. By God's grace all will work out 🤷🏿‍♀️

Logically in the past I thought I could handle a sexual affair only. I soon realized my soul can not handle this. Sex means too much to me and is how I show and share my emotions at a soul level. I've been there and done that too, Emma. I'm not built to have just casual sex. For me, sex is more than just an act, it's an expression of my feelings towards my man. I'm learning that before I give my body, I have to know the man has feelings for me beyond the physical. Which means, you have to be comfortable in talking, questioning and expressing honest feelings. If a man is not willing to talk, answer questions or be honest, it's ok to not settle; it's okay to walk away; it's ok to embrace your single life a little bit longer till the right man comes along. Its a daily work in progress and the benefits/rewards will out weigh the process. ❤

He is right sex confuses things. Even though men want it, it’s best to make them wait. Making them wait allows you and him to get to know each other for your personalities. If you have sex first before this process you are risking being grouped like everyone else. We love people base on who they are and a connection we make with them. If you hook him with sex he may no longer be interested in what you offer in other areas. You are worth the wait, if he leaves because you don’t want too, after he received he was going to leave anyway.

This is so true. I was with a man off and on fro. 2012 to late 2017 with no sex,not even a kiss. The relationship was so good right up until we had sex for the first time October 2017. Everything went to hell in a handbasket so fast! Forward to 2019 and I had a stroke. I never knew a relationship could sour so fast!! Not one call or Text to see how I was doing. Not one visit and he blamed me for the relationship not working!!!! SMH. It wouldn't have hurt this bad had we never had sex.

I agree with your key points, women desire intimacy rather than intercourse, as a whole. Once, you decide to treat your body as valuable and not property, it changes your whole perspective. Find a partner who has the same values as you and respects your lifestyle. Get to know each other at your core. If you honor God, you learn to honor your body, and not compromise your integrity. It is hard to wait, but not impossible, once you control you body, you control your life. That is one way to avoid a lot of heartache and avoidance of being used. I agree 100% from experience. I was dating this guy recently for a little over a month and I started to feel pressured. Yep. I heard the question-do you want to be a fling or do you want to be a wife? And I still made the wrong choice. And that soul tie, that trauma bond was devastating. But may I say, I discovered the reason I made these bad choices was childhood trauma I wasn’t aware of. This discovery came from choosing to love myself. I had abandonment and rejection issues from childhood that bled into my adult choices. No excuses but this knowledge helped me forgive myself and is helping me to move on with God leading.

I've never had sex with a guy to "make him like me" (because it doesn't work like that lol). But I've definitely felt like I wasn't ready or wanting to do it - but felt like "I had to" because it just part of dating. About a female's sexual performance...it's easy to act like a pornstar when you're drunk and high, which is what lots of ppl do to calm any nervous, discard common sense and remove boundaries. When you're stone cold sober and present you feel when your body is tense because you don't fully trust the guy. Even if you get a long and vibe well - sex is really crossing over into another realm. It's a new level of vulnerability that you only feel in that situation. Many times men are stupid and disconnected being focused only on their own pleasure, so they tell the female to "relax" not understanding that she's tense because she may be scared and doesn't trust you/the guy enough. So, she's definitely not gonna be swinging from the chandelier and blowing the guy's mind when she's tense. It's also ironic how some men judge the women who sleep with them "too fast" - like, men are desperate for sex. Men waste their lives chasing women, trying to impress women, ruin their careers by hurting women (Me Too movement for example) or cheating on women, etc. That's their goal with those women: Having sex ASAP. What does it say about them and their slutty ways having sex with random women they just met? Where are their boundaries? Non-existent. It works both ways.

This can be a compatibility issue and shouldn't be ignored. I'm soo glad you mentioned being true to yourself because many us do find it hard to resist temptation then start beating ourselves up when engaging in sexual activity too soon. I've realized that I was never "built" emotionally for casual sex... It's sad to say, although I dated & had boyfriends, I would always let them know I wanted to WAIT on sex! But, just like Stephan pointed out, I ended up "laying down" because that's what the guy said HE wanted & I thought that would satisfy him!!! Of course, I was the one who always wanted a serious RELATIONSHIP.... I know this is sad, but I think that a few of the times that I did lay down with the man wasn’t necessarily because I wanted to, but because I was afraid of saying no and being forced into it anyway, due to past sexual trauma. A man that I went on a date with once didn’t take no for an answer and I finally said yes after he made it clear her wasn’t going to stop his advances regardless of what I said. Now, sometimes when I deal with men and they get more physical, I allow it to go that far because I’m scared of what saying no may bring. I want a genuine relationship, and I want to wait on getting physical until I’m ready. But I don’t even think I should be dating until I truly heal and find my voice in the matter.

Anyone can be physically connected to someone, that's there's one night stands. Abstinence helps to assess if there's an emotional, mental, psychological and spiritual connection before anything else. Sex is such a distracting thing if done outside of marriage. I am so passionate about this topic. While I question the thought process that men have a higher libido, I absolutely agree with the intimacy concept. For those who can disconnect efficiently, I would take that to a deeper issue...psychological/spiritual/physical disconnect. Staying in an analytical mind is effective at disconnecting our emotional body. But the worst assault in our society is the impact of casual sex, pornography, etc to our soul. I truly believe that both woman and men that only treat their body as nothing but a physical object have serious emotional and spiritual wounds. (Which isn’t specifically what you’re talking about.). But I love what you’re saying. Truth is truth. Sex and the issues around it need to be discussed. Thanks so much for being fearless and being willing to say things that may sting! This is what we all need to self evaluate.

This is false that men automatically have a higher libido. I think for women it’s factors of pregnancy, STD’s impact more, reputation etc. There’s major issues of married couples where the man is the one who looses interest whereas the woman wants it more. Studies have shown this definitely changes with age as well

I love how you approach this topic in a nonjudgmental and open way. I'm not a spiritual person and came across way too many people "teaching" others of the "right" ways to do things (are there truly "right" or "wrong" ways to do things? :) Quite rhetorical). So really appreciate your open take on it :) "Are you okay with this decision regardless of what comes next?" is such an important one. Even though my answer to this particular one was & still is "yes" (no regrets whatsoever), some time after it, I realized I couldn't handle it emotionally and not fall for the guy more than he did for me, which led to disappointment, self-esteem issues, etc. I don't consider that experience bad or good, it's all experience, and I learned a lot about myself through it. The questions you mentioned are surely all worthy considering, like some sort of self-checklist, before making the decision. Thank you for such an interesting topic to consider!

That was really good advice. 🙂 I personally never got much into casual sex because I was always someone that has to really like the person in order to even start feeling sexual desire for that person. And I know myself enough to know, that if I was having sex with him and I already liked him as much as I did, that I would only fall deeper. Which, in case he was only interested in sex, would not end well for me. So, even to this day, just as you said, I would only have sex with someone if I was perfectly ok that was the only time it happens. So, everything you shared in this video resonated with me because it's the philosophy I live by. 🙂

Intimacy: Into Me I See -- Into Me You See! Intimacy is such a beautiful part of a relationship. I would offer that sex is a part of being Intimate rather then intimacy. There are several points however three that stand out to me are: Making an effort to learn and understand each other. Providing a safe space for that person to open up. Showing affection without sex. Intimacy can cause some fear and can be overwhelming for some people however it’s very liberating when you allow yourself to indulge.

You are so right, Bro. Stephan! During the 19th century, the women did not look like Instagram or OnlyFan models. Based on 19th century photos, most of the women whom rich, powerful, or “high value men” married were physically unattractive or even ugly. Their dresses covered every inch of their bodies so the men could not have been tempted by their sexy bodies! Yet all of them attracted men who married them. Why was this the case in the 19th century but not in the 21st century? High value men complain about too many broken and damaged women today. It's funny that I opened YT to see the title of this video as the 1st video. This past Friday, I went on a "date" w/a guy who had been trying to take me out for some time. After the date, we pulled up & sat outside in front of his house just talking. After about an hr abt 12 midnight, he said "i'ight, I'm about to go in & go to bed." I said okay, call me 2mrw & I got out the care. Proceed to my car to go hm. He walked up to my car door & said "So you really gon leave. Come upstairs & let me give you a massage." 😒🤦🏽‍♀️ I politely said "NO, maybe the next time." In my mind, I'm like..."This mf think I'm stupid" but he kept pressing the issue & I just left. He end up texting me on Saturday saying "I aint gon lie, you made me feel some kind of way by leaving last night." I text back saying "I'm sorry, what!. Im confused b/c you told me you were going to bed, so you shouldn't have felt any kind of way, or are you feeling some kind of way b/c I didn't let you stick some D in me. Idk what kind of chicks you use to dealing wit, but I'm worth more than just a casual fling so if you just want somebody to Fk on...look elsewhere. To be honest I find that most men that I wind up talking to either via the Internet or actually get to the point of being on a date; automatically demand sex on the first date and are irritated when they don't get it. Those are the ones you usually never hear from again. I recently however found a guy who I turned down on the first date and has continued to consistently call me in the weeks following that. And has said that there is no obligation or pressure on me to have sex with him but that he is still interested in dating me. So it's not all men, most men yes but not all men.
