I have both fragrances I lean towards Luna Rosa Carbon as well. It just smells amazing. But Dior Sauvage is definitely a great fragrance as well.

I hands down love Luna Rossa Carbon due to its subtle smell. I am 41 years old and Dior Sauvage is too juvenile and loud for me. Specially during the Spring, Luna Rossa Carbon and Terre D'hermes are my go to scents. Great review!

Now I remembered the day I went to the Sephora to decide which of them to buy. I liked most Savauge but the salesman told me this: You will be smelling like everybody in town. Everybody wears Savauge. So I bought Carbon. Anyway Savauge is a unique beast, Prada Carbon is extremely versatile without the projection and longevity of Savauge. Thanks

I prefer Prada Carbon any day! They are both compliment monsters, but I have also got negative feedback with Sauvage for its aggressive peppery nature. Never got bad feedback with Carbon.

Awesome, awesome, awesome review! Better than most. I usually don't comment but feel compelled to because you broke it DOWN! You explained the similarities, differences and how to use both. I agree 💯. Dior was too expensive so I decided to try carbon instead and have always gotten compliments. I just bought a bottle of Dior and I'm trying it for the first time I'm not certain if I'll get the same amount of compliments as carbon I do smell the similarities however carbon is my go-to scent.

I don't work in an office and the town I live in people rarely wear fragrances, and if they do it's something they picked up at Walmart. So my bottle of Sauvage edt is pretty unique here. And I love how it smells. But I do wanna get a bottle of Prada because I'm cheap and I wanna use my Sauvage for only certain situations.

Don't sauvage is better and if you are buying 200 ml bottle of sauvage the price is the same or marginally higher..bought a 200 ml from Costco 114 shipped..sauvage last longer and I think in my opinion smells better.

Hello Ross, how are you? Thank you for that great video. I have both Fragrances. I bought Sauvage first and the first time I wore it I went to the park to walk the walk trail. I was a quarter of a mile ahead of the ladies behind me and when I finished they came to me and said we smelled you the hold time and ask me what I was wearing 🤣 it is very powerful. I actually like Prada Luna Rossa Carbon better because it is softer and more flexible! I love Prada Fragrances! Stay safe brother.

For Christmas I got a bottle of Sauvage edt so now I have two and I also have carbon...personally I grab Sauvage when I don't know what to wear but the first time I spray carbon I got two compliments from two ladies at my job and where I work at 80% of my co workers are ladies.

I wore Sauvage twice and found it too metallic and harsh. I'm 42 and not trying to be loud. I just pulled the trigger on the Prada. (Blind). Very excited. Thanks for the comparison.

Never smelled Carbon but I do own Sauvage EDT. Honestly it got me compliments on the daily at a past job. The girls and guys liked the way it smelled but after about six months it just got shelfed and I haven’t touched it that often in the last two years. My wife loves it and so do others but I’ve really gravitated to more interesting options. I guess I now care so much more about how a fragrance makes me feel and where it takes me more than I care about any type of compliment factor, not that I don’t like compliments but I believe my fragrance needs to speak to me first.

To me it depends. If you have to decide between Sauvage EDT and PLC, then PLC. But I would get PLC and Sauvage Parfum.

I find the coal and soil tincture notes in Luna Rossa give it an unusual flavor and really separate it from Sauvage. I agree with the review in every way!

I feel like if you really like Carbon or Dior, you need to have both. I do want to get Dior Parfum, that smells amazing, EDP is great but also strong. Need to be careful to not blow up a building.

I’m 37 and own both and I love them 😍 To me Prada carbon has a classic scent to me almost like an old Barber shop and I love that it’s very masculine while Sauvage is a little more modern that’s just my opinion. Anyways I love both, you can’t go wrong with Prada but Sauvage can easily be oversprayed

If i had to pick one. I would pick the prada carbon,its more refined in my opinion and a much better price point. Souvage is great but it can be a bit brain piercing if you over spray it. I love both either way. I will buy luna rossa when my souvage runs out.

I did a test between both afew days ago....dior sauvage was one of the first fragrances that got me a compliment and had a woman all over me sniffing my neck.... but testing both of these on each hand...I give the edge to Prada carbon .... it's just less harsh and more versatile n is different enough it could be separate fragrances... Prada smells a bit more fougere ish

I have owned both for over three years and wore the hell out of them. I still think these are two completely different fragrances. I cannot smell alot of similarities, other than that they are both fresh and gather a ton of compliments.

My issue with carbon, as much as I love it, is it fades super fast. I can barely tell its on me after like 4 hours. It's VERY close to the skin

Dior sauvage used to be beast mode on me. But for some reason it does not look last long anymore. One morning I went to work, when I got there my coworkers asked if I put any Cologne on because they couldn't smell anything. The trip to work is between 20- 30 minutes. Since then I haven't worn it much but when I do I usually layer it with blue de chanel EDT. I've gotten some killer compliments with that mix!

It's you. I got 2020 batch and last 8+ hours on clothes...do this get a napkin spray on leave it for 8 hours or more if it's still there then it's you..my sauvage lasted 10 + hours on my test.

Since i got Prada Luna Rossa Carbon i almost never use my Sauvage anymore. Prada did a far better job. Prada is like a upgraded version of Sauvage. I do like the Sauvage EDT more than the EDP version.

I got EDP and EDT is much better. I outsmarted myself trying to one up the person who was wearing the EDT that smelled amazing. I'm very disappointed in my choice. Maybe its my skin chemistry but the EDP gave me buyer's remorse. If EDT smells as good on me as it smelled on the person which made me buy the EDP version, ill get the EDT and throw my EDP in the trash 🗑 or gift 🎁 it to someone

I have carbon because it's a safe pick for any situation. It may not be the ideal fragrance for literally any situation, but it will never be a bad fragrance for any situation.

What's going on my guy. I was wanting to know have you ever heard of a fragrance called London Oud # 5. I picked this fragrance up a couple of days ago and I have to say that I absolutely love this fragrance. It is one of my top three fragrances of all time. I legit filled a good size office by overspraying Dior EDT. Only time that ever happened. Was stressed, temperature went up, I could feel the ambroxen in the air. I loved how it smelled but went for EDP instead. Stays closer. EDT over 2 sprays is dangerous.

I agree , Prada Luna Rosa Carbon is the better pick. I have a full bottle, unopened of Savuage , the edt , and I purchased it the day it came out. I only have a decant of Carbon , and I have used it a couple of times. I do enjoy both houses , but Carbon is the easier wear. Why I bought it the day it came out ? Well I went to the mall to get some samples from Sephora, Dilliards etc, something to do, not knowing that Savauge was just released, and when I went into Dillard's , a sales associate , female brought it, along with with a couple other things, to my attention. I'm a fool for a pretty face . I did get boat loads of extras though. A duffle bag or two, a couple free 10 mls of Savauge , creams , after shave stuff , samples galore etc. Seriously though, her blouse was unbuttoned waaayyy down, and now I have an unopened bottle of Savauge. I have and like in order: Ysl y edp (my signature) Dylan blue (my second signature) Bleu de chanel (smells too old and ceo type of person) Sauvage (smells like money from thay metallic taste but i actually like the smell. I just dont want to wear it cos its overrated and surely something is better. Im chasing and using these for spring and summer/hot weathers. What do you think?

Sauvage EDT takes this one for me personally, but I own Carbon as well because I love ambroxan and most others do too. However, let's face it, Sauvage has enough pepper to stop a hippo in its tracks. Not everyone digs that. Not even me depending on my mood.

I think they are similar. Carbon is easier to wear and refined. But I get way more compliments when I wear Sauvage. I already finished the carbon bottle, so nowadays I’m going with the Sauvage. I probably won’t replace either bottle because i feel it’s time to move on.

I have edt, edp, and perfume. The edp is my favorite of the 3 because it’s a little deeper but I get equal compliments from edt and edp.

@@Aiman-hl6ep As far as a ‘blue’ fragrance…I use still use Dior Sauvage, Prada Ocean, YSL ‘Y’ mostly. I also use Dylan Blue and YSL L’Homme Le Perfume. I have Chanel Bleu too…but I wear it less than the others

I wear Dior EDP maybe once or twice a month, it stays close to my skin, can't do the original Dior. If you get hot, it fills an office. 2 sprays. I can spray Carbon 3-4x and it is different enough and has that Prada Lavender feel, its dense like an EDP. Prada Lunna Rossa has a great line up. Especially at discounters. OG great and understated, versatile, Sport is still fantastic but similar to OG, Carbon is great, Ocean is great, Black is only one that is to unique for me to wear it often and feel it fits. I buy way to much fragrances. Getting bad. Don't buy Gucci Guilty Parfum....Gone in an hour, such a shame, I love the entire line, but it smells so damn good, but only Parfum ever puchased doesn't last at least 6 hours plus. EDP's always last me 4 hours min if cheap.....$180, need to spray it like guilty Black or OG. I don't by that most people recognize either smell. If you like Dior, all of them smell damn good cause it's quality.

Love both wear Prada LRC for home/office and Sauvage EDP and EDT for everything else but have to go with Dior for the performance over Carbon

Sauvage just cant be beat, but i dont wear it because everyone has it, so when i want that vibe, i wear prada carbon. Awesome scent and for the price you can get it at discounters, it gets the nodd

Even though I don't wear it as much as I used to, ( or at all really )it's sauvage for me... all day. Most compliments in the shortest amount of time, for me.... period! Also... not one time, have I ever smelt it on another person in public.👍

Yes, I agree Jeremy says that it is a common smell but I’ve only smelled it twice in public and I’ve been wearing Sauvage for 4 years now 🧐

Somewhere around only 25% of guys wear a Fragrance at all, so what is considered “ popular” or overused in the fragrance community is still a relatively small amount of people.

I agree with you 100%. I think prada is more elegant. I think dior leans more towards the younger, single crowd while prada is more of a married, mature, smell young type of fragrance. I don't know if that makes sense.

Super similar and much less expensive. Have the Sauvage EDP and the Carbon. I agree the Sauvage is more in your face and the Carbon is more all around.
