Your Chess videos have helped me greatly in my general chess plays and the way I see my games as a whole. Thank you so much for this channel and I will always support you no matter what. Sometimes in my games when I can't think of what to do I like to think to myself: 'What would Gunjan do' and it helps me

I also play on chess.com. Whenever I am whooping butt and totally humiliating my opponent I bring up your videos. One player brought up the name of another player. Yes, he had a very high rating but his ability to communicate effectively in a straight forward no-nonsense, exciting way was extremely diminished and quite boring. Many of my games are quite good (iwannaapple) but I am looking for ways to coordinate my pieces better, I want them to flow like water with a sense of purpose. I have been watching your videos for several months now and they help keep me on track. Since I don't have the IQ of an elephant, I can't remember many moves but I get the idea and create my own. The only reason I am not rated +1800 is time constraints and openings. Not to mention a wondering mind that doesn't stay on track. The point is - Thanks for keeping me on track. I look forward to running into you on chess.com and if I knew where the "Like" button was I would click it!

Nice new format! I'm not sure I like having the engine on all the time. Especially in situations where you ask us viewers, whether we see the best continuation. Maybe remove the engine (or only show it when really of use) and make the board a bit bigger? Thank you for making these videos!

This is really useful for an up and coming tournament tomorrow, thank you! Stockfish seems to like this line a lot better than Deep Fritz though... why is that? Also, for class-level play, what's the best way to continue after 7. ..f6 8 Re1+ Be7?

What about 4. Nf3 d6 to decline the gambit? Does one simply recapture the pawn with knight or queen or is there a better line?
@mdshamsulalammomin9733
@mdshamsulalammomin9733 3 года назад
At 2.17 white can play c3 and after black take the queen with rook white can take the bishop. In this case although white has a double pawn white is a full bishop up.

Cool new setup. Sadly I don't know what I think about having the engine. Ofc it's always nice to see what the computer thinks, but humans are not computers. Sometimes it might be misleading lets say, it says -1,2 where it says black has big advantage, and the computer could prob won. No gm would have prob could have withstand the let say pressure/initiative that white has, because no one is "perfect" and under enough pressure you're going to fall. Also I'm pretty sure ,any of us viewers are under 2000. I think many new/intermediate players (including me, nor am I perfect) thinks way too much what the computer thinks, whenever a begineer see an engine lets say 1.3 he's just going to think it's winning and not thinking about, why is it 1,3 is it whites initiative or material or what? But I like the "cam" where you're not just sitting still, but actually do something with your arms when it looks like black is winning but there is a trap or something other than that. Anyway good video.

What if at 2:38, black doesn't capture the pawn but rather plays Knight C6?, yeah I imagine play F3 but then what if they still don't take any of your central pieces? I find the opening kind of breaks down from there, with white being/feeling a bit over-extended. Recommendations?

Black can play 5 ... Ng5. Than against 6. Bxg5 ... Dxg5 7. Dxf7 ... Kd8, which is despite first look well playable position for black. If 6. f4 or h4 ... Nd6, then according situation if 7. f5 back to ... Ng5 or counter attack against Queen 7. ... Nb4, perspectively ... d5.

At 4:25 and 7:12, can't black simply defend the f7 pawn by moving to Qd7? It would be protecting the knight too, even if white sacrifices his knight.
