Hygiene Inspectors Johnny and Faye make a return visit to a previous inspection…
When they last visited this particular kebab shop, they were horrified with the amount of health code violations and cleaning required. The main concerns were cross contamination of cooked and raw meat, a vile pot of rotting water, dirty fridges and chopping boards.
So have the owners listened and now up to trading standards, or are they a menace to public health that needs to be shut down for good?

Good on them for taking on board what issues and concerns were raised before and rectifying them. Even though the chopping boards have been replaced, they need a rack/divider as this also helps reduce the risk cross-contamination!

eustace b it’s to keep their hair contained. It doesn’t need to be a warm hat. It needs to be a food safe hat. “Absolutely ridiculous” really doesn’t sum it up. Have _you_ seen the young men with their jog pants halfway down their legs, showing their knickers and bum crack? *they’re ridiculous* 🥴

It's mostly a legal thing that hair has to be covered. In our restaurant chefs wear skullcaps and front of house staff wear regular caps, but we all wear hairnets underneath. That way if hair is found in food we can at least confirm with our policy documents that we take reasonable steps to avoid such incidents. Same reason temperatures of fridges are recorded twice a day and temperatures of both hot and cold food out on serving counters are taken every hour, the documentation of the temperature checks are legal documents that can be shown as proof we did what was necessary to reduce the risk of food poisoning.

@@G1NZOU Okay obviously it’s to contain the hair I made a comment about the choice of headgear , a mesh fedora. A fedora on its own is funny enough but these guys are wearing a mesh one

So now you just need to show up there one day unannounced and do an inspection. This way they can’t prestige the kitchen for your eyes!! If you do this a few times at random times you will get a solid picture of what’s really going on!!

Should see the Donner store near me, that got fined The most in Britain ever £25k for having the biggest rat and mouse infestation ever in Britain. Also anyone seen that FB video of the Donner store worker taking a dump in the alleyway then using his left hand to get the crap out his ass lol, then he cleans it in a puddle of water. Still i had a donner kebab the other day, but it was from somewhere much further away lol

@@Artix902 i Do alot, but now im trying to stay away from fast food, you dont know whats in it, im getting a bit plump, and like everyone says, its a waste of money, paying nearly £5-6 for just some skinny burger thats worth like 20p from Mcdonalds or like paying £5 for a donner kebab thats got, god knows what, and god knows whos hands in it and who knows wheres hand in it, or mystery meat, but whatever i cook my own now

@@alfiekelly3563 i guess when u work long hours small things like scratching itchy balls the cooking becomes norm. Its not like every time a human touches anything they wash their hands. Also as much as these places try it is lack of money and infustructure. I think food places should really get a boost by the government helping serve us clean food.

You have to keep red chopping boards separate from the other ones as the red chopping boards are for raw meet only derrrrrrrrrrr 1:55

Yes . Red boards should be in red meet section due to cross contamination clean or dirty the other boards are fine . It looks like to me they use one section for everything witch is bad and they should of picked up on that . Only no this due to being a manager of a restaurant farmhouse

Kawasaki joe.....the shelf the chopping boards were on needed a wash and the dirt around plug sockets and on top of door frame was noticeable.

@@Bigsoot7393 And there is no way just wearing gloves prevents transmission, they've done more than one study which found bacteria transmission from gloved workers was just as high as bare hands. That's because wearing gloves gives you a false sense of security and you forget to change them, if you're washing your hands for over 20 seconds with proper antibacterial soap your hands are cleaner than the guy who's been wearing his gloves for too long. By all means wear gloves when handling very hazardous raw foods like seafood and poultry, but for everything else washed hands is absolutely safe, that's why you see the best chefs rarely wearing gloves.
