Nice Very impressive from the ship building and manufacturing powerhouse that is South Korea. HANWHA has designed an absolute state of the art submarine with fuel cell AIP and lithium-ion batteries making for a quiet and long endurance submarine with the help of some German technology. Twenty plus days without surfacing or snorkeling at cruise speed is a reasonable goal for conventional submarines in this day and age. I can think of three countries that would like these batteries in their submarines at the present time. And with a new in-house South Korean designed heavyweight torpedo just becoming available for use in any new submarine designs very impressive indeed. Unless an extremely expensive nuclear submarine is a specific requirement for a particular country conventional submarines have surpassed them in nearly everyway. Still plenty of innovative propulsion systems to explore besides a single propeller I have designed a propulsion system that hasn't been used before as far as I can tell. The latest submarines that were built for Singapore have set the benchmark for underwater endurance by a conventional submarine with over 20 days without surfacing or snorkeling. 😎🇦🇺👍

I am all for Canada asking Korea to build the first batch for the RCN so that we can get them faster.

Canada needs this sub; it would be a great upgrade for the Canadian navy, and scare a lot of nuclear subs.

Korean & Japenese lithium based submarine have almost negate the need for AIP based submarine.. kudos to both navy.. India should have gone for P75I with specific endurance day instead of proven AIP system.. even though DRDO's AIP is ready to add in Scorpene class submarine but it would require onboard testing & validation with actual submarine.. hope for Project 76 India would choose lithium path for submarine battery pack

Aquire at least 2 medium to large diesel or nuclear submarines if pilots and budget increased if not then we need to replace our Iroquois destroyers mine layers and frigates Instead of spending shit tons of cash by combining everything in to a frigate which puts all you're eggs in one basket makes it easier for our enemies to aquire our whole naval fleet because of our whole navy in one ship which also led to high costs then sky high overbudgets way way over time delivery and just as stupid in choosing to build a multirole ship on a frigate hull which was done to allow the ship to fit through small shallow water water ways but even our latest frigates were still too wide to make through most canals and a frigate is suppose to be quick and have quick manoverability. Our frigates are replacing our destroyers and extra large frigates and our need for cruisers and modern heavily armed corvettes so all this why not use a cruiser or at least a destroyer haul??

Europe should be doing the same thing that South Korea have being doing for sometime, constructing a credible military industry that is able to support, supply their army and export for allies, Europe should be building and corporating with countries like South Korea, Japan and many others that have the same goals, why Europe dont want to invest in their own security building a major defense sector that will create hundreds of thousands of jobs and start to train at least 1 million new employees in the defense sector, because some companies are loosing the capability of develop new weapons because they have destroyed their own industry and the age of the best engineeres is up for retirement. American cannot be trusted, i think you already know that, everything they say dont count their word means nothing, Europe need to Open their eyes, republicans are already destroying everything achieve in Ukraine and next year will be disastrous to Ukraine and Europe because those bastards have love for the Putin regime
