Even if Inside Out makes $1.5 Billion and Deadpool & Wolverine makes $3 Billion...that won't undo the billions of losses they continue to suffer every quarter with Disney+...it won't undo the Billions they have been forced to pay Universal for the final 3rd of Hulu. It won't reverse almost guaranteed flops that they have in the future, it won't make up for all of their massive flops in 2023. It won't fix all of the problems with their parks, it won't keep Epic Universe from opening and absolutely taking their lunch money...having a few mega-hit films is not enough to turn things around for a company in decline. Top Gun Maverick didn't save Paramount from it's financial woes.

That's enough to replace the entire aging monorail system, and the 35 year old monorail trains, with money to spare. Iger bought Fox movies for Disney+ streaming. Iger thought Disney+ would be a cash cow, but it's a money pit, losing millions every year. Disney stockholders told us they are OK with this. Let Disney burn under Iger.

Worker productivity is so much higher than in was in the 1960s. Why are ordinary people struggling? In the 60s, a minimum wage worker would pay half their salary in rent. Now the average college graduate pays that, and rent is 120% of what a minimum wage worker could earn. Where is all that extra productivity going?

Simple, increased worker base. There's more than that, but the fact women started joining the workforce en masse (there were still teachers, nurses, secretaries, waitresses, etc., so some women were working then still) there was basically around 70-80% more workers for the jobs that were available. This allowed for the stagnation real wages and at the same time increased the tax base for the government which in turn increased the size of the government. The government is a 'business' that makes NO MONEY for the most part (there are a few around the world that do). They also apparently don't need to balance the books, so they can spend more than they take in (taxes, tariffs, fines, etc.) and issue bonds to cover their deficit. There's a lot more nuance of course, but its basically supply and demand. Similar for rent, there's a lot more divorced people now so there's the need to take up more homes.

I’ve been saying this for weeks now, Disney was at just below $85 before Peltz made his run for board seats. And then it rose on his bids. It makes total sense that once he was shut out and he sold his shares, the stock should drop below its previous low. Disney still has a lot of room to drop. $13 at least. I’d expect it to hover around $85 to $80. And then it might fluctuate here and there

As a business major his financial recounting is way way off. We had the second collapse of the stock market in the 80's and were on the verge of the second great depression. Most of the 80s America was in a recession. The 90's was the first time in American history that we had a surplus and the economy flourished. In the 2000s we were back in a recession and had the housing market collapse. America was and the world was on the verge of another global depression. The 2010's saw the stabilization of the global economy. Now we are on the verge of another global recession or worst. Both the ups and down have something to do with who was in charge but all were determined by what was happening with our corporations not our government.

Dude it’s actually pretty’s obvious that Disney stock took a hit cause of Nike. Nike is getting sued by investors because they misrepresented the success of their DTC model. Guess who’s chairman of the Disney board - the CEO of Nike! And guess what everyone who isn’t a shill speculates about Disney’s DTC offerings like Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN+? That they misrepresent the success of it! At bare minimum the optics look horrible.

I want some proof of inside out 2’s success. I don’t find it believable and the phrase “Hollywood accounting” was thrown around a lot last year. And I haven’t personally seen any grass roots enthusiasm for inside out 2, so it comes off not believable.

Sister is a Disney Mom. I showed her the new Universal Studios and she showed it to her kids and they have been talking about it almost non-stop. Now they are talking about doing Universal next year instead of the annual Disney trip. That's massive since the parks are shouldering the burden for so many of the movie and D+ losses. They can't afford to lose that demo without it showing as a big hit to their revenue.

Nike fell because the Sneaker Heads are upside down on their collections with many overpaying attempting to flip them. Don't know why but likely Nike making too many Air Jordans coupled with the economy. Funko Pops is still recovering by going for classic music and sports stars. Marvel and Star Wars nearly sank them.

Of course Disney’s stock is dropping. Inside Out 2 saved the Pixar and maybe the Disney core brand, but Disney is now a multi-brand company and all those other brands they are shooting in the foot and wondering why their feet are hurting, can’t walk anywhere, and why are they bleeding everywhere. Marvel, Star Wars, and the theme parks are the biggest brands that I can think of that Disney is driving into the dirt right now. And what is worse these brands they spent a lot of money to acquire and/or develop and with the direction they took them they are getting nothing back and just acquiring more debt. I hope Disney will look at the success of Inside Out 2 and look at this drop in their stocks and realize they need to course correction now, more like 3-5 years ago, stop everything that is in production and running right now. If that means pulling shows mid season and not airing future episodes like the Acolyte, so be it, if they have to delay theme parks projects to get theme working correctly or make them something park goers will want and lower prices to bring back more people so be it Don’t get me wrong, it’s going to still be very s**tty Disney for a while, like 5-10 years, but I can see them course correcting… If they learn, and I hope they learn. I and my mom are Disney kids, and I don’t mean we were raised on Disney films, no, my great grandfather was hired and worked directly and under Walt Disney himself at Disneyland. He and my mother had the “Don’t call me Mr. Disney, call me Walt” chat with him, she and I remember the magic that is Disney and it sadness us to see it dying and possibly gone. We hope it returns, but if not at least we have the older films and happy memories.

"Tiana's Bayou Adventure" will never function properly until they completely overhaul and change all the animatronics back to pneumatic actuation (what was used in Splash Mountain) instead of the electromechanical animatronics which are what they use in all the "Tiana's Bayou Adventure" animatronics now. Basically Electromechanical and Wet/Humid conditions do not work together at all, meaning they will forever keep shutting down do to moisture/slime/mold issues.

Idk if it’s just where I am but Inside Out 2 is already out of theaters. Idk if it’s pulled to go to Disney+ or it just wasn’t performing where I am locally? But it’s just odd because I run by one of the theaters multiple times a week while training and Madame Web was in theaters longer. Idk does Disney just not have its finger on the pulse or what it is.
