I was diving under a couple of bridges just to take a look as I have not been to this site for several years. I found more than I expected and "I'll be back".
I remember as a kid in the mid 70's I made several American River Cleanup dives, we found the craziest stuff ever,, bikes and tires of course but one of the guys even found a phone booth! Thanks for sharing
Sad to see all the stuff that has been tossed at that spot. I hope you can get the e-waste removed. I just don't understand the mindset of people tossing things in the river thinking if it can't be seen - it's ok. It is not ok. Glad you had a fun dive. As always....thanks for taking us along.
Hi Mark... It's sad most people 'on & above' the water think that 'BELOW' the water is a 'trash can/dump site', thanks for doing the best you can to clean up👍
Hi Mark, the sunglasses with the bow are Hello Kitty’s! I know I buy them off eBay lol! Very nice official finds 5X!! Makes up for dives you find nada. Thanks for another great video!
@@mokpot I was a doll dealer most my life until my husband and daughter got very sick, both have passed, my daughter died last March. So, dealing with dolls brings on other things, lol. HK was born in Japan in 1976, she stands for friendship! (My office was once HK wall to wall) And yes I do wear HK! I’ve dealt with people all over the world. I have a lot of friends thanks to HK!
Oh Mark. This was a difficult one to watch. There were highlights tho'...golf balls, old trees, the amazing sights/sounds of the current! The poor fella's expression when he watched his hat go sailing off, oh my! I always feel sorry for the fish that live in the murk.---I'm hoping someone will chime in with a guess on what that blinking red light thingy was. If you get a reply, please make a special video with that update. And, lastly, I'm pleased you have a plan going forward about removal of those high-risk items down there. (What about that old radio & the glass jar you kept returning to?!)
I kind of like that old jar… I wish I had room for it then. The old radio would likely disintegrate if I attempted to move it. I always enjoy seeing your name in the comments Alana
Looks like a flood went through there and dropped stuff all over the place. A shame it's hard to clean up so much trash. But I know you try to do what you can. Glad you posted the video. Stay safe.
That looked a lot like old fair oaks bridge you were diving under can't be live all the crap people throw into the river thanks for the video another great dive👍👍😎and keep it safe
Another great video! E bikes and scooters being removed by you would make for an interesting video, at least I would think so, just an idea. I made a video of a tire removal from a lake and some have said to me its boring and others said interesting and good to see that our natural water ways are being cleaned up.
Some one will almost always find fault in a video. I just make videos doing what I enjoy and, then enjoy the positive responses from awesome people. Honestly, I have never understood complaining comments, I would think they would just not watch it, it is not like you can change it after it is posted?
@@mokpot I try to not let the trolls/nay sayers get to me. We both love our diving and the underwater vids that we make. At the end of the day that is the only thing that matters-attempting to enjoy our lives in a insane world.
Wow, must not be any dumpsters in the vicinity. Can't believe all the junk on the bottom. It was interesting to see the old bridge pilings. The blinky red light has to be some sort of government piece. Spooky. Five times an official dive. that is satisfying
I saw the golf ball under the leaf , cool dive Mark , I was wondering your depth during the video then you showed it , thx . The bridge color looks familiar 😊
The Rental E-Bikes & Scooters seemed like a nice idea, but you know how that goes, its GREATLY taken advantage of. There has been a commuter train between Dallas & Ft.Worth for a good while, then they added stops in between the cities. When the E-Bikes & such came out All of a sudden all us little towns in between started ending up with DFW's rentals. Sides of the roads, creeks, Our Yards. Because these transients would bring them on the train to where ever. The rental companies would never show up to retrieve them, Police said " Not Our Problem ". What a mess. I could go on about the riffraff that comes along with the trains, but I'm sure you get the picture. Glad you made it out of there with out getting caught up on that stuff. I see you found the Crocodile's hat, but not the Dundee ! :~)
Well the ebike program is not working so… this means they will increase the amount of money spent on them? Not a laughing matter but, you have to laugh at the obvious ending, or cry
How sad that people have such little respect for our lakes and streams. Bless you for working so clean them up! However, it does make for a very interesting video. Keep up the good work!!
Did you find out about the basket with the two things on it with the red light flashing on it? Strange thing. Love your content, the things you find in a river. Gerald. New Zealand.
Hello Gerald, I have not yet found out about the basket with the flashing light objects. Some mentioned perhaps seeing to many movies and perhaps it has a nefarious purpose😂
The bicycle and lamp and a few other green encrusted items look like they’ve been down there for years and years! Some look like they’ve been down so long it’s hard to tell what they even are any more. But, tell me, why does someone think it’s a great place to pitch a lamp? 🤷🏼♀️. Yep, that’s a good rope! ✌🏼❤️
The apparatus with the flashing little red light? Looks rather sinister... I've seen too many movies😂..... Stay safe Your thumbnail should be titled: diving on the landfill😢...
If this is the bridge I am thinking, I am surprised there is not a lot more waste than I saw. Lots of "campers" down along the water there and a few permanently moored boats out there. Ripe for trash everywhere.
I am sure we are going to eventually see elevated levels of E. coli and other fun water borne bugs along most stretches of the Sacramento area rivers. I keep hearing Eddie Murphy in Delirious, “then a big brown shark came Plus you have to watch out for needles due to all the diabetics that camp along the rivers.
freaking scary looks like you were diving in a submerged landfill . lucky with all those pollutants the fish had not morphed into some kind of man eating monsters [ zombie bass ] very sad to think people do this
Hi Tammy, it seems I need to start apologizing for producing upsetting videos. So many people have expressed your sentiments. I do appreciate your tuning in. 😊
It’s not your fault. The people who is dumping the trash needs to apologize. Do are doing your share At trying to clean it up. And I love all your videos keep posting.
What I meant is, I like to post positive videos, i forget how awful this can look. I suppose I have just accepted this as the norm, and focus on how much I enjoy the diving. Lol Should I be concerned that I am becoming jaded? look at you Tammy, making me think…
You dont need to apologize Mark I love the video it was very interesting the stuff you found and you had to deal with very poor visibility . Looks like you have maybe 5 foot visibility if that? Well done my man @
"Looks like a land mine"...Picks up land mine.🤣🤣🤯 Lots of interesting stuff, but honestly how many times did "WTF???" pop into your head on this one? At least it was "official"!👍👍⛳️🤿 Hope you can go back! Great dive!👍👍😊
I didn’t get a good look at the ‘landmine’ but it kind of looks like the lid for an old wringer washer. They were round like that and just lifted off rather than hinge open. Can’t believe how much junk is down there. It reminds me of some of your other dives on the American River.
Thought I saw a hand near that e- scooter I’m always worried you are going to come across a dead body one day🥹!! Do the right thing people and put it in the bin Great video 😊
