OHHHHH This was an amazing tour! So much to take in and on such a huge grand scale. So many thoughts. How long did it take to build, carve and then just fall apart. I am going to have to do some reading on this. Fascinating. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Alana, This was my 3rd time in Cambodia, second time here. My first trip, I visited this same area but felt that I missed so much because I was just fascinated to be there, if that makes sense. I was more comfortable, less exhausted, and able to focus better. : )
Essentially slave labor, if I recall correctly, it took 35 years beginning in the early 1100's. I can not imagine the conditions, the heat and humidity can be oppressive. I hope all is well Leann.
Ha! My four year old literally lost his paw patrol fishing rod in this lake last summer! Except I dived to the bottom and got it, lol about 20’ deep where he dropped it. But literally that exact model
Totally spooked? Not really, if I get an uncomfortable feeling I will abort my dive but, this is a very rare thing for me. When I get my head underwater I become calm and relaxed, my senses are alert and I become very focused on the moment. Diving is extraordinary.
Thank you for watching my videos all the way in Argentina! I want to visit there one day.
@@mokpot It is a beautiful country, you have to make good use of your time to explore everything and I recommend spring because in the south it will not be so cold and you can enjoy the landscapes and in the north it will not be so hot
Hi Leah, I imagine it is possible that I have seen the "Dancing Table" but was unaware of the name. Can you describe it and/or reveal the location? I may be able to answer the question. Thanks for tuning in!
@@mokpotso supposedly it’s called the “dance floor” not dance table, recently circulating on TikTok, about the dead bodies at the bottom of Lake Tahoe because of the conditions of the lake, it’s where all the bodies float, I don’t know recently just learned about this today.
14: 33 very good eyes mokpot. That fish likes your presence. He's curious one. If they could only talk. Question, do you carry zip ties on you to keep all your long item finds sinched together?
Living in an era when right is wrong, medicine is poison, and "High Sierra Lakes" are filled with trash from litterbugs and considered fresh and clean. Delusion level over 9000
Love your videos Sir! Question, thought Tahoe was teaming with fish. Dont seem to see much in your videos. Where are they all at? Was funny seeing one little Mackinaw swimming at 1600 feet in one of your other videos.
Hi Eddie, thanks fortuning in. There were quite a few fish on this dive although, on previous dives to this same spot I saw large schools of very large fish. I was hoping to see, the same this time but... re: the fish population of Lake Tahoe in general... I have no idea. I see more fish in the deeper locations and few fish larger than 6 inches in the shallower locations, say 40 feet and less.
Hi James, thank you for tuning in… Mostly what I do with the items is properly dispose of them. If the clothing I recover is worthy I will donate it. I give away a lot of the fishing tackle either to friends, coworkers, and neighbors or I have in the past, given them away in contests to my viewers. I have managed to sell a few of the paddles here and there, a lot of the sunglasses I give to people I know if they want them. If not, they will typically remain in a big box in my garage. Prescription glasses are usually donate as well. The cell phones will be properly disposed of so that the batteries don’t contaminate. In this particular video, there was a very nice folding knife, I have that still.
I sure do, every dive I carry out as much as I can carry. If you think about, every thing in the water that is man made is trash, not just cans. Thanks for watching.
Hi It ends where it merges with the Sacramento River. This confluence occurs near the California state capital, Sacramento. From there it is easy to follow it on a map/Goggle Earth. Thanks for tuning in
Hi Ruth, I feel like I am missing part of your message. If you can enlighten me, I will happily respond to your comment. Regardless, thank you for tuning in!
Hi thanks for tuning in. As I understand it Lake Tahoe basin was created by glacial action. The Chevron Island sign is one of my favorite finds, I swam over it for several years before I finally turned it over.
FYI- that Chevron Marina sign is easily the treasure- you could get an east four figures from a collector. (I work for a company that buys and sells vintage signs like that *not sure if it’s vintage or just rusty but that might be why it’s hard to find info on.
There is a Marina where I found it, so I am pretty sure it is vintage Thanks for commenting and making me think Lol, I swam over it for several years before I finally turned it over
Love how I still come across videos like yours. Flying over the battleship USS Iowa (BB-61) while she languished in the Suisun Bay Ghost Fleet is a big plus to see. I've seen the same view while crewing aboard '909' and 'Witchcraft' for the Collings Foundation out of Concord, which is priceless to me. And I also began volunteering as photographer for the Battleship Iowa Museum in Los Angeles (San Pedro, CA). Began that while Iowa was being towed INTO and OUT OF the Mothball Fleet. Also priceless. Many thanks for the memories, mokpot!
As a huge fan of history i offer my thanks for your part in it’s preservation. I actually miss the mothball fleet, I drove by it for so many years and now it it just another (almost) forgotten piece of history. I was truly saddened when the 909 crashed, of all the WW2 bombers, I was enamored by the mighty B-17 and it remains a wonderful memory I was able to fly in one. I still recall how fragile the B-17 felt when I was in it. All the movies I watched and all the accounts of them returning after receiving heavy enemy fire and devastating damage, they seemed so substantial. Thank you for sharing your memories and experiences.
