Today is a search of the river and exploring around a couple of bridges. Many viewers say they enjoy the ride so Iet the camera roll quite a bit, I hope you enjoy this dive as much as I did.
It looks like you came across several nice looking geodes. You may want to pick up a couple and see what they look like on the inside. With the distance you covered, you’d be one tired frogman if you had to swim it. Nice video. Thanks for taking us along.
When I was young and indestructible, I was a professional diver off the coast of CA. I’m old now and haven’t dove in years but your videos almost make me want to get back in to it…. Almost 😂
Doris; you too can get a "taste" of diving. With a minimum of training, about 5 minutes, you can actually dive to about 15 ~ 20 feet with instructors present using a helmet. Look into "SEAWALKER" tours in your area.
Getting checked out, boy that Duck & Fish were giving you the eye. lol. Frame 2:47 + that crawdad gave you & me both a start, as you reached for that tin ! I thought that phone really wasn't going to work after you banged it on that rock ! Just a piece of steel, had to laugh. I was going to ask about the Hairy looking Algae. There was some around that hat, I was thinking Yikes don't grab that, but your safe. Getting boxed in was a bit tight, but you made it work. 😊 Always enjoy the dive, an you made it Official... 2- golf balls & 2- of the New Fins !! Keep it fun ! :~)
LOL, you noticed my little jump, when things move fast it is usually not a good thing. I left the tin, he was using it as a home. As for keeping it fun, what is the point if it isn't? I hope these videos can be an escape from the business and sometimes turmoil that life brings. Diving allows me to "live in the moment" something all of us need now and then.
@@mikehurricane5767 Hello Mike, Sorry I did't get back quicker. How you been doing ? Fine I hope. Been watching the storms, hoping the bad weather don't hit you. Take care & be Safe ! :~)
Hey Mark... It was an official & an alternate official dive today... Q: How would you define the clarity of the water you were in? Thanks for the extra time under!
Nice "official" dive Mark! There were some really nice rock structures. Love the fish, the catfish looked like a miniature or toy submarine at first. Thanks for taking us along with you. I always enjoy your videos.
The water temp was 58 degrees…sounds heavenly! We’ve had a pretty brutal summer here in Florida, and to really emphasis just how brutal, my AC is also out! 😣🥵 Happy hunting! ✌🏼❤️
Yep im here in south florida. My AC here at work is stuck at 78 degrees. I wish i lived somewhere else where it stays in the 80's in the summer. And below 0 in the winter.
@@mokpot i love cold. And i live the one of the keys next to miami. They call it island paradice honestly in my opinion its to hot here and for some reason i dont like salt water. Also sorry for switching to someone elses comment thingy lol.
The cleanest river I have watched you explore ❤👍....I saw some decent looking Large mouth Bass every now and then... That was a very big catfish too!!!
Totally enjoyed cruising the river. Fish seem a bit more curious than I would have thought. Like the one that kept turning to look at you. The bottom was actually pretty clean of cans & bottles for a change. We can only hope people are seeing the videos of the trash they leave behind. Thanks for taking us along!
Hi Joyce, I have been surprised by the lack of stuff in the rivers and lakes this year... It makes for less interesting videos, but I can live with that.
It is always fun to see you find a treasure but just getting to look around underwater is interesting to us "armchair" explorers. We get to "dive" vicariously through your camera. Thanks for sharing!
Really enjoyed you drag racing the fish. Interesting to see him effortless pick up the pace with a twitch of his tail. Your wrist dive device is interesting. How does it know you are at 15 feet of depth ?
@tinman, It's a "DIVE COMPUTER" and it tells the depth, bottom time, time to go, computes how much time on your "safety" stop, (decompression) and more....
I get it is a dive computer. I wanted to know how it determines your depth? An aircraft has an altimeter, what device in this dive computer can tell depth? Do you have to set it at the surface before the dive to give it a reference point? @@capttom7772
Hey Tinman... It knows the same was an altimeter does, pressure. In fact it needs to be reset for Fresh verses Salt water because the pressures are different.
Of course, glad to clarify. My current and last few computers will automatically set to fresh water once I reach above certain altitude, maybe… 1000 feet I think.
Hello from Kiev. I'm diving too. But now it is forbidden to dive because of the war. The bridges are guarded by the police. In the fall I'll be able to go spearfishing. You don't spearfishing?
Nice dive. Crazy river bottom. I did have a moment freak when you said you boxed yourself in. Logic took over in my brain saying of course you know how to get out of this.
Sometimes, seeing those little shells trick me into thinking you've found a stash of coins!---Hah, when you get bored, I guess you can always play tag with the fish! Is that the first catfish you've discovered?---How did the bikes & the shopping cart get down there??? Nuts.---I have hats just like that, in multiple colors!---I appreciated the additional information added to explain what you were seeing while down there!
Hi Alana, not the first catfish, but perhaps the biggest one at this place. The bikes and shopping carts were most likely dropped off of the bridge I was under, which always makes me just a little nervous... is another one on the way down now? LOL. Those hats seem to be very popular the last few years, because I find quite a few of them. I hope all I well in your part of Cali.
Based on where you put and where you ended up, you put some miles in on this dive. A DPV is on my list of things to get. Another fun ride along video. Hard to tell from the video, but how is the current there this time of year?
If you are serious about getting a DPV, open you wallet wide. The ones worth having are a bit pricey. I whole heartedly recommend the Genesis DPV's.They are designed and made in Sacramento, which is a plus for me. There is none better. As you may know the current varies depending on the release from the dam, This day it was a good dive with the DPV and it is easy enough to move out of the stronger areas of current. I used to dive this area without the DPV, I am still wondering how.
I guess a contractor lost his Rolex watch when they were building that new bridge that crosses Lake Natoma and someone in my brothers dive club found it, nice find eh?
@Kurt ELLIOTT, Wonderful find... as long as it isn't stolen. You know ALL ROLEX WATCHES are registered to the owner by the serial number inside the case?
@@KurtElliott I believe there is a "ROLEX REGISTRY" on line where you can find the registered. Even if it's stolen, you can/should get a reward. I think the cheapest ROLEX starts @ $13,000, I THINK ! If you take it to a jeweler they may/will try to get the reward. I think they will "HOLD" the watch until the owner claims it, cutting you out of the LOOP! Be careful where you get it opened.
What was inside the shiny tin? Hi mokpot, glad to see your still at it. Neat hobby. Thanks for sharing. Still gives me the jitters. Stay away from Indiana, that I know of, personally. I quit swimming in lakes, ponds, & rivers from what ambush predators I've seen. Gives me the willies. Just my 2 cents. Be brave. 😎
@@mokpot i've personally loved underwater exploration since childhood. My parents gave me the GI Joe 12 inch with scuba gear & the green windowed yellow dive machine. It was like outer space, only no degree & social postering is required to explore underwater. Only nerves, guts, & the capacity too learn quick. Then came the movie Jaws which killed my hopes & dreams. Its okay I became a pilot. Also, there's that giant turtle I saw on land about to enter the pond where I was hunting bullfrogs for a mess of frog legs. ( Yummm yum. ) Well, the turtle ended it for me. No way would I ever outswim an amphibian the size of two vw bugs parked side by side. Was it an omen? I didn't care back then. I was just a teenager. Quicker than most, yet my gun was not big enough. I did return with a camera, as cellphones weren't widely used back then. I had a sickle for the 14 foot cat tails & a machete for self-defence. Grandpa never kept a shotgun that I was aware of. I just wanted to be believed in the truest since. A photo would have surficed. Never did I ever see it again. I'm 6 foot 5 inches with size 15 inch feet. Its feet were just as long, yet double wide. Perhaos larger. Jeremy Wade furthered my growing concerns for water predators. Certainly, as a man we should keep a level head which will often save us, amidst such dangers. But for some it won't & I've experienced luck both ways enough to grasp my own limitations. Still thanks for sharing your videos. I'm still very captivated by it all.❤️😁
Loved the creep factor on this! Love seeing underwater, but it totally freaks me out lol! Very interesting large rocks, and I was surprised at the depth. Now we know where old bicycles go to die. Thanks for another great, creepy video 🙂
Bicycles like this are often stolen, stripped, & pitched in rivers, ponds, & lakes by kids being stupid. Or smart, depending on what side of the law one is on. Yet stupid for poluting bodies of water.
It would be funny if someone was trying to magnet fish as you were diving and you just grab the magnet and start messing with it. It would freak them out lol. I also would of messed with them paddle boarders just for a laugh.
@@robynperdieu3434 lol exactly thats what i would do. And grab the bottom of the paddles of the girls on the boards then move along lol. Kind of like the guys that scare people up north with the remote controled aligator head on a little boat.
HAHA. There is something wrong with you two 😆 seeing the genuine fear and uncertainty I have seen on peoples faces when I unwittingly surprise them has kept me from exploring my darker side. Fear of the unknown and the fact that MANY people fear the water, well... I would never want to be the reason someone stays away. But I am pleased to offer content that gets your fun sides moving, just remember if you startle me in the water Make sure I know quickly you are not the Jaws super shark...I carry a knife LOL. and I am willing to fight Jaws to a standstill.
I have not taken it in yet. I am 99% certain it is a genuine diamond. it is in a jar along with other gems, gold, and silver items. one day when the weather is not so nice.
@@mokpotpick an honest jeweler. I found one in a parking lot once. It had a handmade plain gold cratle. Its almost a quarter karate. It had been driven over several times, yet not a single chip. It sparkles like a real diamind. It sank in a glass of water. It scratcges glass too. Jeweler said it was Cubic zerconium offerred me $14. He low balled on the craddle too. He said its real gold, back when it was 800 per once. Jewelry is not evaluated by ounce, but by gram. So, he offerred & I refused. Years before, I had met a woman from California who claimed that jewelers pay top dollar for finger gold. The gold found in sand in the shapes of viens. Well, the cradle was real gold, better than finger gold, & he only offered me $22. It was over an inch of material. Later, it was stolen. I still have the diamond. 😎
