@@IshaniParbhoo Thank you Ishani. I have not yet got supplies from abroad but have wondered about Alibaba. Worried that would be risky if what arrives isn’t good quality. But your video really helped. Excellent👍

Hi Ishani, as you know, I am a candle maker newbie. Can I check (if you are comfortable sharing) if you get your vessels and lids in the UK or if you are still using a supplier outside of the UK. Mesha.

Their shipping and requirements for jars is crazy expensive, but I really hope I can get my hands on some. Most supply companies are buying their whole sale from them anyways

So sorry for the late reply, yes for sure the goal is to be able to go directly to the manufacturer. That way we can avoid supplier markup. It's just getting sales up to be able to afford buying the quantities required.

I’ve heard ali baba is such a scam! Also you pay so much tax when it arrives in the UK!

Really? I've not had that experience so far thankfully. If you're getting larger quantities I believe it works out better. However, cost for duty must definitely be consisdered, it can be a nasty shock if not but that's just the case now of sourcing supplies abroad. My printed boxes came in from the EU, and I paid soo much in duty 😭. One thing I must say is shipping at the moment is so expensive compared to pre-2020. Hope you find a supplier that works for you!
