Please don't stop making videos... last year you introduced me to records that have become my absolute favourites... like Sunborn, Poetic Justice and First Light. Thank you so so much.
Hi! Thanks for the encouragement! For sure more video are coming. For some reason there is always a hiatus during summertime. Happy to hear you enjoy thosefresh jazzy sounds :) Always curious who else likes the music. Cheers. /Paul
Hey now Paul👋🏻🏖awesome music all solid sounding oh yes to the first album, thanks for digging up the best info you could find!👏🏻 The debut album hmmm I 🤔 think? 22 band.....now that really took me to the beach 🏝☀️😎I was dancing in my mind! Opened my eyes and realized it was cloudy rainy and just plain oooo blah .... thanks for the great samples Paul!!!! Have a wonderful week my friend- Lis 🎶☮️🙏🏻😎
Hi Liz! Nice to see you dropping by again. Hahaha, I can imagine the disappointment when looking at the weather outside. Still feels good the music made you dance. I somethimes feel they made music to make you feel good what ever the circumstances. And it works :) All the best. Cheers. /Paul
So many incredible rarities! Even with all the wear and tear they are fantastic, it's a wonder some of them have survived at all. I always thought juju music was pronounced like joojoo but perhaps it is yooyoo...that's the trouble when you never hear anybody say these names out loud...ha I was going to say Fela has so many records because they are only two songs each, sounds like this album he was trying for just one! All the best, cheers!
Hi Doug! Hahah, as you say, we hardly ever hear these names out loud. For years I have wrongly pronounced certain artist names. To be honest I never checked juju. This time you got Dutch-English version :) You solved the Fela mystery. He probaly had just enough material for 10 to 12 songs. To make some money he cut 5 albums ;) Have a great week. Cheers. /Paul
Hi Chris! Nice surprise to see you stopping by. Hope all is well. Thony Adex is a great discovery. I started with his volume 4 release, but it is volume 1 where all the magic is :) All the best. Cheers. /Paul
You don’t want those old scratchy records, Paul. Just post them to me. I’ll even pay for the postage 😉. Fantastic finds! Love seeing those original sleeves and labels. Keep ‘em coming 👍👍
Hello Paul, that Adex record sounds and looks so cool, omg, also Orlando was stand out for me. I want to hear that twenty minute live version of that percussion part you were dreaming of, hahaa. You have had Tutto passa on the wall for a while, whats your take on it? Moi!
Hi Petri! Imagine being at a club and they played that tune for 20 minutes. Hypnotizing :) I was checking out Gianni Brezzo latest release. And discovered I missed his earlier release. In the end I liked Tutto Passa best, and bought it :) Hahah, now I have to remove it ;) All the best. Cheers. /Paul
interesting selection this. guess i need a few african records as well. and btw - is anyone madly offended by the new youtube layout as well? like, how ridiculous is it to push the comments and info box to the side?
Hi! Me guess also, you need some deep African grooves ;) These rhythms are hypnotic. Good to hear it is no only me not liking the youtube layout. I thought I messed up some setting. Have a great weekend. Cheers. /Paul
