DIY Eyepatch 

Fun fact: most pirates wore eye patches not due to injury, but for easy vision in the covered eye in the dark. They would switch the patch the eye used to the light so the opisite eye would be already adjusted to the dark so they could see better when they went down into the hull of the ship where it was dark

Pirate's wore an eye patch over one eye, so they can lift the patch off that eye, and immediately see in the pitch black darkness below deck.

Eye patch works well for poor man's night vision

DIY EYEPATCH Step 1: Remove one of your eyes

I took woodworking and auto mechanics back in high school but if I get a redo I'll take leathermaking. I need a good wallet or belt more than I need to build anything. Last time I worked over a car was about 88 when I restored my old 67 Camaro.

the eye patch: the only medical device that i haven’t had the “pleasure” or needing. have had cast, crutches, braces, slings, a neck collar, and too many bandages and stitches to count, but never the ehe patch!

If you make it right you can use it as an old time sling for flinging rocks. You can also give it to the guy you just hit in the eye with one of those rocks you were flinging.

*Howdy fellas! Loved the video.* Was wondering of y'all could do a short video on how people with disabilities held their own in the old west. In popular culture we often see people with missing limbs use a firearm prosthetic, and I was curious if there are any historical examples of these kinds of things happening. Also if I was right handed and my right eye was blinded how hard would it have been to switch my dominant hand and eye or if there were any unusually genius modifications people made to aid in their firing of weapons. Hi Santee, I was over at Cowboy Kent Rollins page yesterday watching him make grilled cheese sandwiches on an actual grill. He uses several kinds of cheese American cheese, cheddar, mozzarella, and pepper jack with a sprinkle of parmesan. When he mentioned pepper jack your name came to my mind. If you grill some makes sure you are downwind from a certain bear raised person. Santee has grilled a tray of ooey-gooey grilled cheese sandwiches on Texas Toast for him and the Arizona Ghostriders. Batjac asks "Where's Dan?" and Santee replies "He was going to bring some homemade desserts". A bear wearing a pink ribbon bonnet carrying a picnic basket walks in and the Ghostriders scatter. Dan comes in behind the bear and yells "I brought over my mother's sister Aunt Flo who was not poached for her honey glazed donuts" After a few seconds Dan says "Well Aunt Flo more for us. Time for a picnic". A short while later Dan, Aunt Flo, Rex, and a pair of badgers sitting down for a picnic.

Her and her sisters were hailed as the most beautiful girls in California, she also sold the state of California Santa Monica. There is also a city named after her.

Great video Santee! I had a question to ask I’m building a old time looking pistol case that will also hold all my black powder gear and I wanted it to look authentic to the period. What did they use to stain or treat wood in the 1800s I’m building this out of old saw cut lumber and it’s going to be the size of a small tool box thanks!
