Nicely done! The lack of locker options is why I decided to give a rear dana 60 a shot when I do my swap on my ZJ. That and it was free lol

I dont mind the air locker. Originally I was going to go for e-locker since it's what the rubicon comes with. But I don't mind doing the air now.

@@4WDTrek I would really appreciate it !! I am about to order the parts for the same 14 bolt axle.. and I am also planning on installing the ARB Air Locker, as you said, too bad Yukon does not produce Zip Locker for the 14 bolt... Thanks!

@k You rock ! Thanks!! I see that the model you used for the ARB locker is the 4.10 & down, combined with Thick Cut Gears... Yeah... I was recently chatting with the Yukon staff about their Zip locker + Gears combination... so for 5.38 gears you either combine the 4.10 & Down Zip Locker with Thick Cut Gears... or 4.56 & Up Zip Locker with Thin Cut Gears.... you could go either way, Yukon explained that the 4.10 & Down Zip Locker with Thick Cut Gears combination is marginally stronger compared to 4.56 & Up Zip Locker with Thin Cut Gears .. but that in reality a good installation process is more important than deciding between the two options... They also mentioned that the 4.10 & Down Zip Locker with Thick Cut Gears is kind of the more traditional industry standard .. Thanks!

How you going to do the ABS sensors?

I have already built an air manifold and splitting system for my onboard air system. I will just hook them up to that and run the hosing through the rest of the jeep into the lockers

What would you estimate everything cost you for the axles? (Not including your time & tools)
@4WDTrek
@4WDTrek 10 месяцев назад
I was planning on making a video about all of the cost break downs. I did sell off my stock D44 axles which helped alleviate the cost of it all. I would say I probably spent approximately $7,000 or so on the whole swap. That includes the new wheels and tires.

@@4WDTrek that is such a better deal than buying from Currie, fusion, etc... excellent job saving so much money when those guys want $20k for axles not including wheels and tires. I realize you spent a lot of time but if one were to take $13k that they saved & invest in something that had a 4-7% yield year over year it makes sense and cents. Watching your build makes me want to call around to junk yards. Problem is I need 70" WMS

@@ElevatedVehicles It definitely took a LOT of time to go through all of that. But I do find that kind of stuff quite enjoyable. If you are concerned about the 2 inch difference, you can offset that by 1 inch more back spacing on the wheels to make up the difference on the axle.
