Deep cycle batteries i have had great success due to thick lead plates most used as standby backup batteries are just sulfated. You can easily get the sulfates back into solution by heavy discharge and charge cycles, it will make the sulfates dissolve from the surface of the lead plates so you most of your capacity back. i started a project like this with a few more car batt's trying to revive them in different ways and you can revive them for a short time i do wish you luck. most videos on youtube claiming to be big success are just click bait by time they reach this state the damage has been done.
